Muugru again shrugs, unsure of the merits of the plan. He walks over to one of the corpses and heaves it up.

Str check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Stealth check: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5

Muugru looks back towards Heshlem, "and where we taking the knocked out one?"

Male Gnome Cleric 2

Just dotting, will join in the fun as soon as Erefine gives the green light.

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Welcome aboard Dim!

Still keeping an eye out Kyra's helps the others carry the bodies out.

Str:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Stealth:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

By the way, was Kyras able to recover the two arrows intact or did they break on removal?

Looking at the keep, "You got someplace we could question this fellow at?"

Str check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
stealth check: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (11) - 4 = 7

After Muugru plops a corpse down at their intended destination, he turns to Heshlem and says, "Me not like towns. Me not like liv'n with humans... too many rules. Me go survive on own. Me thank you for help'n Muugru. You a good boss!"

Muugru looks towards Kyras and says to Heshlem, "Me not like elves much, but him okay. You try keep him safe. Me go look for place where there more action."

Thanks for the adventure up to this point Erefine, but it's time for me to depart. Kyras and Heshlem it has been a lot of fun roleplaying with you two over the last few months here, and I hope to run into you again some time. I really enjoyed roleplaying Muugru, so I plan to play the character again some time in another campaign. Take care all.

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Take care as well. It has been a pleasure playing with you. Hopefully we will be able to again in the future.

"I am sorry to see you go friend. I hope you do well wherever you go."

It was fun RP'ing with you. Maybe we can meet in another game sometime.

Wow sorry guys it has been a crazy week. My wife tried to commit suicide. I am sorry to hear that Muugru left. It seems I can't keep characters interested in this campaign.../sigh

Sorry to hear about the wife. I hope you can work that out. As for the game there is a fine line between giving people time to RP and moving to the next event. It seems that most of the PbP's start off with good interaction, but the GM's take their time moving from one point to the next. Somewhere between us getting the invite to choose one masterwork item and now, it seems like the game stalled. I think everyone has rolled their stealth checks so unless someone has something to add I guess we get to see the results of that.

You are able to get the bodies out and ale is poured on them which should buy you some time.
You all make it back inside the tavern where you find an unexpected visitor.
Dim welcome. I rather liked Muugru's character so I will continue to play him out.
Muugru talks:
"Boss what we do with their leader?

Yeah, more Muugru!!

"We will leave him with the others. We already have his things I am suggesting we get out of town as soon as possible."

Once we get to a decent spot I might need a reminder of what those were. Playing in 4 PbP's is distracting. Don't worry I am not quitting. I just need to make notes so I know what is going on. I like this Inquisitor.

Heshlem wrote:

"I'll second that motion, though was hoping to find out how he found us, you know."

You leave the leader alive in the street with the others and head back into the Haunted Horse. Where you meet a curious man who seems to be seeking you out.

Male Gnome Cleric 2

Before you see a diminutive man, dressed in some well traveled clothes that somehow still having some colour and style to them, a large grin adorning his face.
He looks at those coming into the Haunted Horse and then looks up towards to the roof. "So this is the sorry lot you wanted me to help is it? Very well, it looks like they need someone with some skills like mine."
He then looks back at you all, scanning his eyes up and down the line of you. "Dimitrialtjunbuderkin Yanalvidy is the name, but please for the sake of expediency, you may call me Dim." He says with a slight bow towards you. "It would appear that someone has an interest in keeping you alive and in good health."

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Looking over at Heshlem, "Looks like people are coming out of the woodwork over this."

Looking over the new arrival, "Yeah, you could say that. I atleast have an interest in that, you might say." the last bit with a grin. Then a little more seriously, "To be honest it seems like everyone and their brother seems to know how to find us. All the more reason, it seems, to get out of this trap of a city."

"Oh, and you can call my Kyras." He says reaching out his hand. "I hope you are one of those you mentioned as well, if not, well atleast your a little more friendly then those last louts we tangled with." And if not, I might be signing my own death sentence. Not every one can be an enemy, right?...Gods I hope not.

"I agree. It seems everyone is on to us."

Muugru says: "What you mean onto us boss?" He lifts up his arms and legs looking for people on him. Then he scratches himself and shakes his head.

"They always know where we are so now it is easier for them to kill us."

Heshlem thinks to himself "I have to get him one of those magical headbands."

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Shaking his head at Mugruu's antic he replies to Heslem,"You don't suppose the things the old man gave us would have anything to do with that would ya? Them finding us I mean."

It can be a bit difficult to get characters into group that has people hunting them down. My RL group almost got our most recent addition convicted of murder, and even after a zone of truth spell my character still isn't convinced he isn't there to kill us. The man is playing a master chemist, and we have met his other half. Hopefully this one goes a little easier. :)

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

FYI:I will be going on vacation fom 8/6-8/15 or so. I should have internet access but I am not 100% yet or confidant I will be able to get on regularly. I will get on I can.

Female Human Sorcerer (Linnorm Blooded) 2

"I'm Gwenola", says the fiery redhead than had not said anything yet, as she is sorting through various equipment. "I just arrived as well."

I've noted the loot in my character sheet, so that we can sell it at some point. As she has not done that yet, Gwenola will try to read the note: Linguistics check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7, and a fail.

"I've sorted all we got from last fight and we still have that note. Do anyone know of someone who could read it."

Male Dwarf Barbarian 4

Kolm extends a hand towards Dim.

"Ye can call me Ricdak, as anyone who knows me does."

Sense motive to see if the Gnome is being truthful about being here to help us: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Male Gnome Cleric 2

"I am not an agent of evil sent to destroy you, at least I hope that is not the purpose of the visions I have been receiving." Dim then looks up at the ceiling again talking at no-one in particular. "I am supposed to help them, not hurt them right? Just making sure."
He winks as he looks back at those before him. "Forgive the urgency of my introduction, the Great Dragon keeps sending me these visions. The one that has kept repeating over and over is that of all you in this place, bleeding and dying. Not that I don't enjoy dreaming of you all over and over again but I figured the only way to get you out of my head was to get to you in real life and save your huge behinds. Other than my word I can offer no other proof of my allegiance, I hope it will suffice at least for now."

Can I tell if any are wounded and requiring aid?
Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Somewhat put off by the constant conversation with the sky Heshlem begins to doubt Dim.

sense motive:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

As far as you are able to tell Dim is being truthful and is there to help.

Luck seems to be on your side as the authorities have not discovered the bodies.
Tendor approaches you and says, "Many thanks for the hand back there young masters. Seems the dragon smiles on you yet. Please accept my offer for accommodations for the night."

Muugru shift nervously:
"Me no know boss...this city bad mojo."
Whatever you decide to do for the night you will all be benefited greatly by the Dragon. As he will help you all in your dreams tonight.

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Looking over to Heshlem, "I think we are gonna have to trust some people anyways or we will accomplish nothing."

"Master Tendor, I appreciate your gifts greatly, but I for one would like to leave this place as soon as possible. However if the rest of you would like to stay, I think I could bear it a while longer."

Male Gnome Cleric 2

"I am always up for a little bit of time on the road. Wandering is what I do best and besides in my visions I saw this place with you folks in bad shape so maybe getting away before that becomes reality would be a good thing."

With 3 votes...you pass on Tendor's offer and make ready to depart the city. It is nearly dusk and the streets are eerily quiet as you leave. There seems to be nothing moving and nobody around, which is rather odd for a city the size of Kalu. The streets are wide and paved in cobblestone. You notice the workmanship of the houses is a fine mix of stone and sturdy wooden beam with clay tiled roofs. You pass a few guards just as you get to the outer gate.
"Halt!" They command as they step in front of you and cross their pikes across your path.
"State your name and your business and your reason for leaving at this hour. You see we usually bar the gates...but if you give us a good reason we could see them cracked open while we make our rounds."
The guard says with a smile holding out his hand and rubbing his fingers together.

At the guard request, Gwen moves forwards:

"I'm sorry, Sir,", she says in a tearful voice , "It's all my fault. I am Severlina from the village of Westhill She cites the name of a village she passes through on her way in, about a week from here . I just received world my mother and little sister had caught the pox and passed away. I need to go back home as soon as possible, so I hired these men to escort me home. Can you please let me go."

Bluff check 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 and appraise check to see how much the guards will need as a bribe 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Visibly taken by your story.
"Well now miss I do be sorry 'bout your family, but by ruling of the Duke we bar the gates at sundown, but a few silver pieces could make us remember you came through here about an hour before we are to bar the gates. If you catch my meaning miss."

Female Human Sorcerer (Linnorm Blooded) 2

Gwenol takes 5 silvers out of her purses and gives it to the man, thanking him profusely.

"Oh, thank you, so much, Sir. Take that for you and your men."

"Thank you and best o' luck to you my lady. Guards she left 2 hours ago...Open the Gates!"
With that you ride out of the city as the sun begins to set behind the mountains.
What do you do and when do you make camp?

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

As they pass through the gates, he nods to the guards in respect before returing to keeping an eye on the surroundings as a good bodyguard does. Once through the gates, he visibly relaxes as the tension fades as he gets more out into the open.

"Lady, if I hadn't known any better, I woulda been wondering when I signed on." He says with a laugh after they get some distance from the city.

"I suppose we should be heading towards Khirah to see this weaponsmith that we were told about. Unless of course any of you have been getting any more visions about what to do? Either way lets get some distance away before settling down for the night."

How's the lighting? I imagine that will be a big factor on how soon we camp. And is Sungalu still with us or did he stay at Tendor's?

Gwenola drops a curtsy at the laughing ranger: "You've welcome, this was much fun. The good point is that they did not ask for your names or look too closely at you. If we have to go back, I can just weak dull clothes and dye my hair."

Opening her eyes as much as she can, she peers into the rising darkness. "I can't see anything at night, but I've heard some people could. Anyway, did you say we were looking for a weapon-smith. do you know I was training as one before leaving. Well, I did my spearhead myself. Don't you think it's nice. Maybe he will teach me a few tricks."

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

"I can see well enough with a little light, and Heshlem and Mugruu do really well in the dark as well. So if you stay with one us, you should be fine, I think. We should be able to find a reasonable spot to settle down for the night without too much trouble. I for one am not intending to walk all night."

"I'm more of a bowyer myself, though not quite to this level." The last hefting his newly acquired bow. "Not yet at least, but I did make my old one, which isn't too bad, I think."

"But yeah the man who first sent this way, gave us a list of people to see, Sungalu here, Tendor back in that city, and a Marconius fellow; a weaponsmith in Khirah. Don't suppose that's who you were apprenticed with, was it?"

As the travel Kyras is looking for a suitable spot to settle down for the night.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

"Nah, I was in my village. It's called Whitehill and it's quite far from here. You see, my father used to be a weapon smith in a big town, but he decided to move to the country and take over a black smith job before I was born. Because of what I can do...", she says as she picks up a twig and with a few muttered words, sets fire to it and quickly puts it out. "Well, because of that, I was to stay at home and help with the forge. and Pa taught me a lot about smithing."

She walks for a short time in silence.

"Oh, before I forget, I can also create lights if we need, for setting up the camp or else. Just ask."

Don't you need to use survival to find a good camping site?

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Erefine's call I suppose. If so the result will be a 20 on that roll. I put perception cause I am searching for the site, but I can see either way. One of those rolls should be good enough to find someplace to rest our heads, I hope. :)

At Gwen's mention of learning from her father, Kyras withdraws a bit seemingly lost in his own thoughts.

When she speaks again, he shakes himself, bringing himself back to the present. With a grin he says, "Aye, that would definatly be useful. That'll be a lot faster then going about it with flint and steel much less a bow and drill. If you can create light just as easily, no reason to fear the night. Most animals that prowl at night will shy away from it. Most though, not all."

I have not had internet access for about 2 day. I will read and probably make a post tonight.

Male Gnome Cleric 2

"Down the lonely road we travel, who knows how the adventure will unravel...." Dim starts singing some cute little songs as the troupe continues away from the city, forgetting some of the words and obviously making some up as he goes.
Perform(Singing): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
"Not only do I sing well but I am an inspirational light to guide us on our path." Dim smiles as he casts a light spell on a pebble and juggles it back and forth in his hands. "I am getting a little bit sleepy if we could stop sometime soon, I have had a long day of travel getting here to find you and now on the move again. Such is life of a wanderer I guess. Do you folks wander much? I really like wandering, sometimes I will just pack up and wander for days, not really going any place specific. The road is where I belong I guess."

"No, this is my first great trip. I hope you can teach me a lot about what you've doing."

I will be off for two weeks starting tomorrow. I'm taking two weeks off at work and going to a place where I'm really unlikely to find a WIFI connection. I'll post as soon as I can on my way back. Please, take control of Gwenola if you need to.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 4

I'm off today, as I have an IRL game. Sorry to be an inconvenience. These are fairly regular, once every two weeks.

Male Gnome Cleric 2

Dim steps on the crickets that seem to be the only thing alive here. Is this dead?

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

Hey! What did those crickets ever do to you?

Erefine was having some RL going ons. Hopefully they haven't come back.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 4

Ricdak looks left, then right, then left again. "Be there anyone here, lads?"

Male Half-elf Ranger 2

I'm thinking something has happened to Erefine, unfortunately.

Male Gnome Cleric 2

Hoping that he will return at some point once his life returns to normal(ish).

Even if this game ever gets going again I have transferred Dim to another game so I am out for this one.
Sorry guys.
