Yesterday I went to a wonderful concert and I would like to share my favourite song from it Burning Hell - Canadian FlagUm . . . er . . . I cannot even think of a comment for that one. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, I do not think there are any Canucks on this thread.

Hope you're coping with the weather in Eastern US and Canada... don't be driving unless you need to! I should know, Friday was a nice long snowy 14 hour drive.
The general idea is that he's an arcane researcher exploring the various ways that magic manifests itself into living creatures.
So he has spent the past 40 years or so tracking down various schools, casters, and other such creatures in order to advance the science of arcane magic. Currently he's working on a universal theory of magic which states that all magic, even that of the gods, is actually just a natural form of energy whose shape and effects are affected by the will and personality of souls.
To date he has studied a bard school, a witch, a draconic sorcerer, and a troll shaman. Now however he has heard of Kyren who is apparently a sorcerer of some form of destined bloodline. So he's tracking KYren down to study and chronicle him in order to add on to his theory by determining the exact nature of Kyren's powers perhaps in the hopes that it will provide evidence for his theory if not outright prove it as fact.
Pirates by the Sea coming along nicely.
TheWaverender, the Hydras Fang, the Scrag Fisher all coming together. Mounted on cardboard, the extra parts are because these will be 3d so will be raised off the deck.
I haven't started the Harspur yet because its a massive job on its own - almost two feet long. Also it only has a map of the below decks, so I have to make up the top. BBB and Raoul might remember some of these...
Yet to do the underdocks terrain which I will also make 3d.
Now to work out how to make sails in a 'play friendly' format.

On a side note.
Yesterday while out shopping I 'misplaced' my wallet, which I only twigged to when i went to pay for the pile of Christmas Eve groceries. Upon discovering said shortfall and staring blankly for a moment, a nice lady next to me asked what the problem was and I explained what had just happened, so she gave me her phone number and paid for my groceries (although now she wont answer my messages asking where I am supposed to give her the money back). On a side note I got my wallet back, cash and all. I live in an honest place.
Today, the nice little old lady I occasionally help out (Can you spot me a twenty til pension day? Hey I'm out of smokes, can you hike down the road and pick me up some on your jog?) sends me a mega hamper I can't jump over. Mostly full of booze.
So yeah its Xmas, people are being nice.

Yeah, I failed my sleight of hand check putting it in my pocket - crit fail 1 and put it on the ground instead... here's a tip, don't hold more items than you have hands for at Christmas whilst shopping and terribly distracted. Perfect storm of poor planning. Normally I put everything in my pockets then do a 'tap check' before moving off anywhere - keys, wallet, mobile... no idea why I didn't do this either.
Great story, Brother. That is how it was in Okinawa,too. I swear that if you lost something and a Okinawan found it, it would come back to you in better condition,lol. Glad to hear that the Christmas spirit is alive and well and that you got your wallet back intact.
I'm sticking with 2-weapon fighter, no dual class. Currently using breastplate. For 10500 gp it's 9 AC +3 max dex (current dex 17, was going to raise to 18 at lvl 8).
Is that much cash worth 3 AC? (or 2 if you compare mithral FP to mithral BP which has higher max dex) Being the primary front-liner and no shield...wait a minute, there's always an animated shield...hey ,I like that!!

Wow Shifty that looks really great! One cool thing I saw somewhere is a solution to the rigging. You print it out on a transparent paper (I don't know how it's called in English, sorry, but it's the kind of sheet you get for transparencies and old-time slideshows).

My family has always celebrated St. Nick on the 6th and it wasn't until recently that a majority of the United States does not. So looked it up and it happened that I am from one 3 or 4 major urban centers that does so that are not in Europe. Weird how you can just assume something is nation wide when it is a major event in some of the larger US cities.

I just finished my Christmas Eve harp gig! Besides doing a half an hour prelude on my harp, the highlight for me was a solo of Silent Night in front of a few hundred people holding candles in a huge circle around the church. I get such a charge out of cool experiences like that!
The drawback to the day was that the brakes on my car are frozen and I could not get my car out of the driveway. I needed to push my concert grand harp across town to get to the gig. For anyone who witnessed it, they had quite the sight.

Hydras Fang - getting there, an interesting first experiment, sails next.
Ya know, now I get what all those wargamers get into with their terrain modeling.
Should be good when I have all four ships completed, I learnt a lot and the next time will be better, but I scored a hot glue gun for xmas (thanks Santa) and it changed my world. Now I want to glue everything.
Regardless, they'll only get a few hours use at Pirates by the Sea so should be good for that.

Hot glue gun! I totally forgot I have one of those. I have a cardboard regatta to compete in and I need to mock up some robots for a new shooting competition. High Temp glue guns might as well be cardboard welders, lol.

Is there any way to acquire one overseas? Or at least a couple songs over iTunes or something? It's a pretty easy guess that there isn't much harp tradition in Brazil but I love the instrument and find it sounds both relaxing and inspiring.
