Nope, just about everyone is now walking.

SF guys get air insertion, the rest don't really need it.

Jumping only leads to disability in the end anyway.

It does indeed. Blown knees and crushed backs.

Whilst it sounds all hardcore and macho, it has a habit of breaking good soldiers into quasi-invalids.

Every person I know who jumped is all f'ed up before they've reached 30. Being that I am over thirty, I don't see the reason to squander good health for no real return.

It'sanother mark on your resume.

I too am on the post 30 wagon. Which is why I am looking at wrapping up in Infantry shortly; these are the last months I will get to 'prowl & growl' - and then its leave the game to the young guys who belong there.

It will be two pips and I'll become a FOBbit.

On a completely different topic, dude in Texas has started a kickstarter with some nice looking dice.

Does that include a transfer to the Shire?

VC - Sydney, Australia

See Mark it's stuff like that which gives me hope for humanity..

Heh - following on from that their listed suppliers look pretty awesome Mytholon and Calimacil.

More so for backyard battles with my son (when he's a wee bit older) or brothers :)

Wow, that was a posting-light night, eh? Mornin' everyone.

Scarab Sages

It was a posting light week, to be fair. Good Morning Zyren, a good day to those further ahead or skulking behind in time;-)

Getting ready to head tp work in asec. I hate being in the training command. 4 am is an obscene time to get out of bed every day. I am get all cranky then Tark and I can be like the two old Muppets and rant together. That's Horrible, hahahahaha. ;) May have come up up with a concept for the next game Tark and I are together in....

these are cool. wish he did more than d6's though

VC - Sydney, Australia

Indeed, a full set would be great

I've asked the question on full dice sets and so have a few others.

I can understand if he doesn't - as they're handmade - but who knows? maybe a few more requests will be enough to get him to look into it.

I'm getting one set in bog oak... just because ;)

A friend of mine has just bought some metal dice which look nice, but are totally useless, since they are so heavy that I fear they would shatter the table...

Something like this Zyren? - they would be hefty to say the least... only 130g or so...

Though there are some crazy dice out there nowadays... ones carved from amythyst...

Ones printed by 3D printer

Crystal shaped dice

aaaand even a D34

Hahahaha, not the infantry here, bud. I even got a four bedroom house with my family while I'm here at the school.

I use a set of the brushed steel dice. They are quite heavy and make the coolest sound when they roll.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

They looked pretty similar yes!

Well, they didn't roll much...they stayed where they impacted :)

very cool Zyren

Very cool Zyren!

One day I'll have a house where I can set up a room... then I'll get one of these...

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Wow! Didn't know about that one - do they ship those babies to Europe?

Unfortunately not Zyren - continental US only... but my lord the customization options are salivation worthy.

Perhaps I could find a local Malaysian woodworker to knock out a half-way copy.... ;)

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

awww, they don't...but they try to find solutions for nearly everything, heh!

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Sweet room Zyren - I am working on one in my basement - need to get a table or desk and I will be able to play down there with my boys.

Male Pale Master

I want one of those!

Anyone here play "Dystopian Wars"? I like the spin has taken on tabletop wargaming, but was curious about the quality of the ruleset.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Looks cool though.

Having a ruleset to run ground, air, and naval combat looks like a good time. Plus, the modelsets are pretty cheap for the number you get compared to other tabletoppers. Like 34.00 USD for a starting battle group.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

looks a bit too much Steampunk for a tabletop for me - I'd prefer Dust tactics these days.

I have a couple of friends playing Dust Tactics. Are the rules pretty good for it?

MmmmMmmmmMMMMmm - homemade black pepper and lemongrass spice paste - my apartment smells delicious!

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

lol- yay for Chez Mark!

Yeah- I like the ruleset and the models are awesome especially the deluxe editions.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

We could need a replacement (maybe even 2) for Heart of Madness - Cthulhu D20, but very rules-light - rather storytelling I think up to now. Any takers?

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Sticking with the Pathfinder campaigns here. Thanks for the offer.

M Human Fighter 5 AC: 20 (22 2-wield) Touch: 13 (15 2-wield) FF 17 HP 24/50 Init: +4
Double Dagger Attack Routine:
[dice=Attack]d20+10[/dice] [dice=Damage]d4+8[/dice] [dice=Attack]d20+10[/dice] [dice=Damage]d4+7[/dice]

thanks . . .but 3 PBP campaigns and 1 table game are enough for me! :-)
