Geez Fey, that doesn't sound too good mate!
@BBB yeah I keep thiking 'those damn kids' when on having to do Duty staff taskings. Writing names of bad deeds in the big blue book so punishments can be doled out later kinda makes one feel like a fink too.
On the other hand, highlights included some bright sparks parking another guys car in the middle of the parade ground for the lulz. Oh that Army humour.
Was really funny, until we needed to actually form up on parade.
Aside from that we got to sample a US rat pack... I'd like to complain the 'Ranger bar' neither contained real Rangers, nor did it make me into a Ranger (not even a Pathfinder one) so thats false advertising. The chocolate peanut butter amalgamation stuff that goes on those hard arse crackers wasn't too bad, but the sliced cranberries were awesome.
Those packs are a bit small for a full day though, only has one main meal... what do you eat the rest of the time? A ranger bar, some cranberries, biscuits and a meal. Doesn't seem quite enough for 24hrs.

Ye gods I thought it was illegal to export those things due to the geneva conventions ban on poison in warfare.
If you are referring to the MRE's those things are loaded with tons upon tons of calories. You really don't want to eat a lot.

Hahaha, MREs are pretty unpleasent many times. We usually get one for lunch and two hot meals when in the field environment. You lucked out on the Choco Peanut Butter. The bread and Ranger bar are not good by any stretch. More like what a ranger might leave behind after a meal. They weren't that bad to me when I first came in, but I try to avoid them anymore. Beef Stew, Pot Roast and a couple of others are pretty alright as far as food in a pouch goes. Stay clear of any that sound like a breakfast item at all cost!

-I'd like to apologize for dropping out of heart of pulp without warning. I had to go back to the US and return to China, and was without a PC for most of february. and all of march and most of april.
-Anyway I'm happy to be back lurking around. And firexox is the browser to use in China. Chrome has issues what with Google and the PRC being at each other's throats.

The good news is, I'm graduating from college and getting my degree and going on a 6-month trip. The bad news is that I'll have to drop out of all of my campaigns here in a couple of weeks, as a result of this. As I mentioned, I'll be traveling until November - I might have internet access on a somewhat regular basis after the first three months, but I really have no idea.
If the games are still running when I get back, I'm pretty attached to some of my characters (particularly Kirk, who has been a lot of fun to play), and I bet I'd want to bring them out of retirement if there's still space!
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to give you a heads up before it comes. It's been a privilege to play with you in so many great campaigns, I hope you keep it up for a real long time! I'll be back around the campfire when I come back, if only to just say hi.

Bush hats? Cheeky fellows should be wearing their slouch hats on a base regardless of rank. Impractical as it may be.
(Unless your garrison is being treated as 'field conditions' or acting as an FOB for example)
They could be either enlisted or officers, only the rank slide gives anything away on our DPCU uniforms. Same hats etc.

Slouch hats are what they are wearing. That was a mistake in my termonology. Some of the Cavalry units here wear Cowboy hats and golden spurs. Order of the Spur cavaliers in the US Army, haha.

Yeah the Giggle is just a short brimmed Boonie. Great hats even though it looks a little silly. The Boonie just becomes an embuggerance when you hit your guts and try take a firing position with a pack on. The pack hits the brim, and the hat ends up over your face... not so with the Giggle!.
On the other hand the Boonie is actually better at being an actual hat and protecting from the elements. Look like a jube though.

Welcome back V-Man :)
On another note I think the Army must have sme Shifty-Fun radar; last time they sent me off on a couple of weeks in field it was just as Bloody Kisses and Tarks Assassins games were kicking off, meaning I had to miss out on signing up.
Now that I am withinn 60 days of going away again, Skulls & Shackles campaigns are starting to do tentative recruitment.
Geez that sucks.

NP Shifty - consider it doing my part for the enlisted man :P
The current twist I'm thinking is to have everyone be a tiefling of some derivation. The Blood of Fiends PDF is very cool, and I didn't find the Player's Guide traits to be all that impressive really. So I was mulling over forcing everyone to take a Blood of Fiends tiefling race trait instead of a campaign one.
Then again, there is Blood of Angels coming out in a couple of months as well... so not sure if I should wait to see if that's as cool...

Really with all the tiefling stuff in the first installment of the CoT book I'm a bit surprised the tiefling book even exists.

I had a look at the CoT stuff but thought they missed quite a few tricks in it. It is also written from the pov that Tieflings were overpowered and needed a 'nerf' hence the wishy washy bloodline trait which I think is terribad.
Sure they could have just copy pasta'd, but I think it could really benefit from an update and renovation.
The Aasimar stuff is a straight up buy on my list though, VERY keen. I think Aasimar are another race that gets a knee jerk on the boards, yet for all their proposed horsepower you don't see much of it at the wheels :P
