hehe yeah. See, my favorite scene in the LotR trilogy was when Smeagol was arguing with Gollum (one of the rare cases in which a movie actually surpassed its book). Bonzo/Jazz talking "to himself" reminded me of that--and the fact that he's playing 2 hobbitses only made the joke better (for me at least).
Woo, skated around the IoW twice in two days! Me and one of the other skaters kept leaving the group behind so we decided to just keep going and get a bus to the campsite at the end of the day. Managed to skate about 120 miles in about 16 hours of skating on some pretty serious hills. My right foot is almost entirely made of blisters. Good weekend.
And now catch up again, yay! No more weekends away from the internet for me for a while.

There was supposed to be a major rock festival in Sydney called 'Soundwave', but then it fell over when van Halen pulled out. On the upside, several bands thought it would be wrong to shortchange their fans and came anyway.
So Friday night I got to see Motley Crue with Brett Michaels/Poison support, and last night it was Alice.
Still hanging out to see Steel Panther... one day... one day.

Perhaps I should list "Has a problem with authority figures" on my profile. Truth is, many of my encounters with the police have not ended well. Once, when I was about 13, a cop beat my head into the floor of a grocery store repetitively because I didn't leave right away when he told me too. All I asked was if he or someone else could arrange a ride home for me and my friends (all minors) seeing as he had just arrested my ride home.

Sec. 1983 of the Civil Rights Code should have gotten you a nice chunk of dough for the cop hitting you. But I am pretty sure that section 1983 does not hold power in Sandpoint.
Oh yes, it should've and would've if my mother didn't have "doormat" tattooed on her forehead and a perpetual need to disbelieve anything and everything I said. She didn't even try to press charges, file a lawsuit or even look at the dang security tape, or ask any of the hundred plus people who were in the store that day what they saw or heard. As far as she was concerned, I was lucky I wasn't getting arrested for disobeying the police officer. About 8 months later I got a court summons laying out the charges the same cop was bringing against me, assault on an LEO, criminal trespassing and interfering with an investigation. The charges were dropped, thankfully.
I have no idea how I keep managing it but I just had another entire day with out a computer. Not a skateboard in sight either, just ferrying first year Physics students on tours round the uni all day. Been a busy two weeks.
