It was 3.5, so the jump to PF wasn't hard. I showed him D&D, he showed me PF. We're still able to visit each other every so often.

So who was DM? Did you each take a turn?

I have found PBP to be a great way to keep in touch with friends, and make new ones, regardless of how far apart you are.

Well I am delighted to have you here! This should be a lot of fun!

good old 2nd editon times...no one knew what skills were four, but we had a million archetypes, kits and subclasses...oh and worlds, Planescape is still one of my favorites.

@ All: Is anyone (or two) of you interested to join our Rise of the Runelords game? It's still pretty in the beginning (about half of first module, characters at lvl 2).

I would have been interested, but I am in a Runelords PbP right now.

I have been really tempted. Especially since I am starting some summer vacation time. As you are aware, though, I will be missing the two weeks at the beginning of August. If you are ok with that, I could do some reading and catch up with the thread.

Please tell me what players/classes are active, and what are you in need of.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Sebastian: Shame on you :)

@ DMHW: That's no problem, I think most of us will be on vacation for some time during the summer.

We have an active witch, active thug, active ranger and semi-active (at least he treatened us with being not that active in the future^^)paladin.

Dungeon Master

It looks like you are in big need for a healer. I could be a cleric, but I will need to find something to contrast Solaric. I have always liked Sarenrae, the fire domain and the scimitars, but I am also looking into Irori. Zyren, how do you assign ability scores in this campaign?

Irori has no business having clerics. Blech. :P

Sorry just really dislike his domain and weapon selection.

What party role needs filled in Runelords? I am eager to see that game in action. I started doing pbps so I could play the Pathfinder material I haven't yet had a chance to run/play tabletop.

The party really needs a full-time healer, besides that, they can surely tell you themselves what they would like ;)

I saw that DM Harpwizard has suggested a possible cleric. What would the party prefer to see join their ranks? I favor casters, rangers, and rogues but am willing to roll out anything except praps another witch at the moment, but since there's already one that shouldn't be an issue unless they're attempting to create a coven.

Ha! Sebastian will feel very guilty at some point soon. But he doesn't have the sense to say no, and he is helping Samaritha out...that is what he does. Gonna roll some ability scores for a potential Rise of the Runelords character, if that's alright.

DMZ:
I can use my old rolls, if you'd prefer, but that 5 dump stat would basically ruin the character idea I have for the time being.

Rolls:
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 4, 4) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 3) = 7
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 2) = 9

4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 5) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 2) = 9
Total: really low.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 4) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 2) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 4) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 5) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 4) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 2) = 7
Total: also really low

4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 1) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 1) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 2) = 11 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) = 17 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 1) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 6) = 19 = 15
Total: still really low

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 3) = 10 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 3) = 19 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 1) = 9 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 3) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 2) = 17 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 5) = 19 = 16
Total: 77

8, 16, 8, 14, 15, 16 are the scores I got. I'll see what becomes of them, what with those two dump stats especially.

Zyren, I am still trying to build a hook into Celestra's life to bring her to Sandpoint. Do you think the building of a new temple is a possibility? I am also thinking that I should move her home much further away from Sandpoint than the Fogscar Mountains and have her train in a mountain temple to Sarenrae somewhere in the distance. Any ideas that you have that may fit into your plans?

The fact that she is quite young is a thing you should take into account. Maybe a very easy solution could be a good choice: Maybe she just visits a relative in Sandpoint?

Dungeon Master

Zyren, I have been working on Celestra's background. How is this?

Celestra Vieran:
"The birth of Celestra Vieran as an Aasimar was a great omen to her human parents. She grew up in rural Varisia, in a small hamlet called Cassiano, located in the Malgorian Mountains. Her family owned and operated the only inn in the village, a cozy place called the 'Stumble On Inn' which was an old converted keep from an ancient civilization. The Inn was a wonderful place to meet travelers and learn of the geography of the land. She also learned how to innkeep and cook from Sylyra, her mother, who was an extraordinary chef. Her kindly father, Aldurin, who was once a priest of Sarenrae, taught her the celestial language and how to meditate and pray to the Dawnflower. She grew up in a loving and supportive home, where she was taught to explore her Celestial heritage and see the goodness in all people, looking for ways to serve others and give to those who have lost their way.

Although Celestra grew up with a joyous and positive outlook on life, her faith was put to the test when the village of Tollburgh was attacked by a goblin hoard and the inn was burned down to the ground, destroying her home and killing both of her parents. Celestra escaped from the goblin hoard and learned to survive in the wilderness as she found her way down from the hills to the town of Wolf's Ear and eventually to the town of Galurduria.

In Galurduria as a young orphaned Aasimar, Celestra was accepted into the Dawnflower Temple at the Twilight Academy, where she worked hard and eventually followed her father's footsteps to become a Priestess of the Dawnflower. Although she is one of the youngest to graduate from the academy, Celestra is one of the most promising students of her class.

She is very attractive with a great smile, and a contagious enthusiasm for life. She has very high ideals for herself and she takes great pride in setting an example for others to follow. However, she is a very unusual priestess in that she tries very hard in life not to let her strong faith prevent her from building relationships with others.

Her closest living relative is her Uncle Restavlar, who is her father's younger brother. Restavlar lives in Sandpoint, where she often travels on holidays and breaks to visit.

I do not want to upset game balance by being an Aasimar, and I am fine with not taking the usual benefits. I just like the role playing idea. However, if you feel there are some things that would be good to add, please let me know. I have been reading up on much of the thread. What are your thoughts for introducing me to the party?
