Spending the day unpacking my new house, drinking some fine beer, and researching an antique German bayonet I've had around for a while now.
This thing is very cool. From what I can tell it is at least 100 years old. It was made in Erfurt at the Imperial arsenal and may have been made with a sawtooth back that was later removed around 1917 due to troops found with that configuration being shot dead on the spot or tortured. I never really thought much about it in the decade I've had it in my possession, but it really got my wandering to the possible places it has been and the things it has seen all in silent vigilance.
We had a bad dust storm here yesterday, and now, today it feels like someone punched me in the chest. It's awesome. I hate Kansas.
Urghh. I am really thankful to live in an area of mild european weather. The worst here is a mild rainstorm, and even that is hardly more than annoing.

I'm just grateful that the wind died down enough last night for all of the dust to settle back to the earth.
We do. We had some rain not too long ago. I think the issue was that the winds were so strong and the farm areas outside of the city had recently been plowed etc. which exposed the earth.
While it is clear what the mall was using as a basis, I doubt it would be close enough to qualify as an infringement on any intelectual property rights. But, I do not practice in that area, so I could be wrong.
Plus, for Paizo and the other rpg companies, any advertisement that gets more people into gaming is worth more than any potential infringement damages.
Indeed, and they were purely decorations with no $ being made from their sale, etc. I'd highly doubt that many people involved in the promotion even know what they actually are. If I get back an answer from the mall people I'll let you know. I really hope I can get the details of who made them... thinking about commissioning some more from them ;)
There is nothing about the decos that even suggests gaming apart from the fact that the d20 he's holding has some numbers painted on.
I feel so freaking miserable right now. I have the same crap I had 4 weeks ago, same symptoms and all. I just hope I get over it as quickly as I did last time.
Mayhaps my Bacon God didn't like the maple bacon flavored tea I sent to him.

Don't be a "stateist". You can't judge all of us by the actions of some of us. There was a large debate and the scientific community fought hard against this, however the State Board of Education basically said F you, we're doing it anyway. Kinda like when the Electoral College supported Bush even though the majority vote didn't.
Also, I graduate in 2001, this occurred in 2005. Oh, and I am a pagan, not a Christian, I don't believe in Creationism and in fact, I will often point out that even if I did, Darwinism and Creationsim are not mutually exclusive. The Holy Bible is written in such a fashion that the first man and woman (who are not clearly stated to be human) are not physically described but described only as being in God's image, the animals aren't even thoroughly described until Leviticus. As well, the book states that time to God is different than time to man, and if the book is really the word of God, than it would surely have time inconsistencies to our human minds.

If it is going to be one of the Coruption Gods, I think that I would have to skip on that one. Slannesh might be a better choice. Something about festering pox, bleh.
I thinking about running Hero Quest as PbP and using either PF or Warhammer 2nd Ed. here on the boards. I was unpacking the other day came across it and both of the expansions and it brought back some great memories. It has been 20 years since I played that game. Some classic dungeon crawl sounds like a good time. Hmmmm, we will have to see how this works out.
