My wife's bday is tomorrow (4/11). I got her an iPad. :-)

Finally got my Man O' War stuff out of storage. I think that a campaign of Lego's Warhammer: Man O' War will be kicking off soon. Not as cool in most ways the orginal models, but somehow cooler in others. Lends an Ikea like aire to the game, lol.

Man those models are expensive!

Yeah happy Birthday to Mrs GM and Mrs V, and as ummm a continuation of the ahh celebration there should be a continuation of the theme with ummm in game gifts for all! :P

Yeah BBB, models are always a bit pricey, Manowar stuff was $$$$'s, even Lego costs a stack of cash. I keep spending my spare cash on green things.

I hate having to spend cash on green things, lol. They needto lend me anything in that color. ;)

VC - Sydney, Australia

Seems there's always some new toy. Cold weather kit seems to be the biggest culprit.

Thx for the friendly wishes and a big happy birthday to mrs. V!

That is a pricey set, ouch.

Probably an appropriate juncture to do a cross-post to all my more active PbPs about an interruption to my posting schedule that is imminent.

My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, which basically means that the bun is fully cooked and ready to pop at any time. This means that at some point in the next 1 day to 4 weeks I will suddenly and without notice disappear completely from the interwebs. I can't say when or for how long, but it will probably knock me out for up to a week or so before my wife and I get back on our feet and I'm of somewhat sound and untired enough mind to jump back online.

So if I do vanish, please don't fret as I shall return :) I would just ask for some leeway on posting frequency for a while as we adjust to the new baby floating around.

Congratulations, you will need to order the Pathfinder box set really soon!

But seriously, your life is about to change in a most fantastic way! Enjoy every moment, because time is about to fly in!

Indeed. As my wife and I are fond of saying, "the days can drag, but the years certainly fly." Enjoy the little 'un while they're little. :-)

Just took a $14,000 pay cut. Finally got my first check without overseas rate since I joined the Army....ouch. LOL. Time to re-eval the ol' budget.

Ugh.

Hey what with the downsizing, there's never been a better time to take your well earned skills international and join the ADF, we pay better too! :)

"Just as the U.S. Department of Defense announces some pretty hefty cuts in military jobs in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marines, the Australian military machine seems to be soliciting some nice used but serviceable Yankee components. If you have a good record and the right military skills, our cousin Down Under may want you, mate."

Hahaha, I am also not sure how that would affect my citizenship. Though, like most Americans,I have a special place in my heart for Aussies. Is the ADF really recruiting former US servicemembers?

@Tirion Hahaha, I doubt our tactics used on cultist would go over quite as well on the international stage. ;)

VC - Sydney, Australia

Yeah we have had a few people come over, I was chatting to an American now here with the Navy teaching the aviators.

Had an ex Marine at our unit for a while too, they are coming through the system, as well as quite a lot of Brits.

Full article is here Article.

The Army page is here showing what they are importing...

Apparently dual-citizenship is allowed o.O

Floating psi-baby with lazer eyes and power over metal would be very cool... though we'll settle for a pooping / sleeping / screaming machine. It's our second so we're well prepared for the chaos and backing up of sleep debt that will ensue.

Post got eated first time round - but I said thanks for the well wishes and lamented that we were unlikely to have a super-psi baby, and would instead settle for a pooping / sleeping / screaming one.

Shifty - sounds a bit like the oilfield. All the Scots retired to work in Perth once they got a bit sick of the UK weather.

Ahhh well good luck with the pending family expansion, one more gamer at your table!

Team Shifty-Bang-Bang --> Specializing in questionable tactics which generally result in something getting blown up. What is wrong with that?

On the 26th I'm having septoplasty done to fix my deviated septum. It's an outpatient procedure and I'll be home the same day. However, I'm sure I'll be in pain and drugged up for a few days so, I may not be up to posting much during this time. Just a fair warning, please feel free to take over for me!

Hahaha, the A-Team. I'll read those articles after work today. Sounds interesting if nothing else. I didn't think that things like this happenned any more.

Looking it over now. Passed on the info to my friends. Very interesting indeed.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

So there were a some really bad storms last night and an tornado even came to visit my town. I was all packed up and ready to go see OZ (I'm the only one who get's to make Dorothy jokes, people :P) but it didn't come close enough to me.

Seriously though, there were many business ruined and a many homes as well. They definitely have my sympathies.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Ouch, despite my warning, my parents were driving across Kansas yesterday. They spend the night in Junction City, right in the middle of all the tornados.

Bree, I am glad you are safe, it did not look like where I would want to be during that outbreak.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Yeah, I spent half the night being concerned about my daughter who was at her dad's house this weekend. They're OK though. She'll be coming home tonight.

So, your parents were safe though?

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Have not heard from them, but I have also not heard of any injuries from that area. My parents are pretty nonchalant about things like this, I will probably try calling them in another hour or so to make sure they are safe in whatever town they got to today, probably somewhere in center Illinois, possibly Indiana.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

I hope everything's alright. I haven't looked at the news much today to see just how far stretched the damage was. I've mostly been looking into Wichita and Derby (My brother lives in Derby with his wife and kids).

Good to hear that you are well and I keep my fingers crossed for Tirion's parents.

Thanks ZZ. Yeah we do seem to have really sh!ty luck. I wonder which gods we pissed off so badly :P

Parents are good, finally heard from them last night. The will make it back to DMHW's area in another two days. The plains states here are known as Tornado Alley. They had about 120 tornados on Saturday, and a pile more just a little further east on Sunday. This is a major outbreak, but pretty much if you live between North Dakota and Texas, or a little east of those states, you should expect to have a tornado in you town at least once every couple of years. It is what the weather does. Same this for living in Florida or the Texas coast - you just have to expect that a hurricane is going to roll up and whack you. Weather is pretty predictable on things like this if you give it enough time.

And Bree - I will note that the majority of the states I just referenced are frequently "Red" states if you want to consider pissing off gods.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Lmao, Tirion, you are quite likely right on that. Though, I am quite fond of pointing out that Oklahoma's state seal (I oft refer to Oklahoma as the buckle on the Bible belt as tornado ally is also called) is a pentacle. Personally, I believe it would primarily be the Native American't gods that we've pissed off, and the whole "ancient Indian burial ground" idea doesn't help much I'm sure.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Heh!

Man - I don't check Paizo for 17 hours and get stuck with 75 posts. That is going to take a while to get through.

Just a note: away this weekend from friday afternoon my time. Should be back around Sunday night.

Bree. You should get yourself some mountains. Maybe one or two for the backyard..and a nice hedge between them. They are great for keeping tornadoes away. It works here in New Mexico.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

There are other ways to avoid natural disasters. This is one of my favorite.
