Last call, last call for alcohol.

I'm going to close the submissions at 12:00 noon (CDT) and begin the selection process. I will post the list of those chosen sometime after that and will get the ball rolling on Tuesday morning (Monday night is my RL game, so I will be unavailable then).

Again, thank you all for your interest and I hope to not disappoint.

OK, now I'm frightened.

YOU SHOULD BE.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring.

Holbrecht Bastionne, Dwarven Cleric of Brigh.

I just need to drop him down to 1st, and change 1 trait to one for Kingmaker. Other than that he's ready to go.

EDIT: and drop his Str by 2, he was made with 22 pt buy.

AJM8665, do you you want us to build the characters before monday or tuesday? I generally build my characters only after being selected. Mainly because when I create the alias and the character doesn't get selected or the game dies, those poor orphaned characters sitting on my profile make me sad. But if it will help you decide, I'd be happy to put Agnatha together fully.

Same question.

And enjoy your RL game.

Seeing a fully statted out character does make it easier for me to imagine the character, but is not necessary. I too am constantly deleting unused concepts from my profiles. (the trick is not to post in character, then you can delete it as long as it hasn't made a post).

Here's the background for Ostario. If picked, I'll set up a new alias for the threads. Otherwise, have fun everybody.

Ostario's Backstory:
Ostario was born in a small river village in Touvette on the banks of the Yhalt River. His mother died during childbirth and he was raised by his father, Ulmanius Ulmanius owned one of the largest boats in the village and would use it for whatever jobs would help him make money.

Ostario was born with a birthmark on the back of his left shoulder. As a child it didn’t look like anything but as he grew older people who noticed it remarked that it sort of looked like a rat. Ostario never saw that himself; to him it just looked like the face of a really ugly orc. However, his divine abilities manifested themselves early, especially when he was around water. Ulamnius kept this secret as religion is not tolerated in Touvette so he spent most of his youth working with his father on the river. But as he grew older his birthmark undeniably looked like a rat walking on water, at least to everyone else who saw it. To Ostario, it now looked like a really ugly orc with his face smashed in by a mace.

Unfortunately, despite never having set foot in a temple of any kind, his divine connection was becoming more difficult to hide and Ulmanius was becoming increasingly worried. These fears were born out when a neighbor accused Ostario of being a religious fanatic in the hopes that this would prevent his sons from being involuntary canon fodder in some border skirmish. With his father causing a distraction, Ostario fled to the south on a small boat; he would never set foot in Touvette again.

He took the river route south along the Yhalt then briefly cut across land to the Chalkstone River which he took down to Hymbria. Seeking guidance from the elves they told him that his tattoo was a sign on the god Hanspur, it still looks like a smashed orc face to him, gave him some food and told him to sod off.

Heading back north, he hooked up with a gang of bandits called Jurl’s Daggers. They were quite happy to have someone who could actually sail a boat. Eventually, Ostario grew extremely tired of the gang’s ever-growing depravity and left one night. He travelled northwest across Gralton, skirted the ruins of Heibarr and travelled, as quickly as possible, across the Loric Fells before crossing into Brevoy (and good riddance to the River Kingdoms).

Having little better to do and no clear goal in mind, he found work in the docks and waterways of Brevoy. It was there that a fellow worker noticed the tattoo of Hanspur (or the face of a really ugly orc smashed in with a mace) and mentioned to him about the expeditions to the Stolen Lands. At that, something clicked in Ostario. Heading there felt right and off he went. Potentially claiming land that, technically, belongs to the River Kingdoms has a certain amount of ironic justice as well.

(the trick is not to post in character, then you can delete it as long as it hasn't made a post).

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the good advise. I will keep it in mind for the future

Well rats. Blasted real life. No time to get to this before the deadline, but I will be a rogue at first and possibly second level moving to freehand fighter after that and sticking there. I will be exploiting the sneak attack when flanking option to support the other melee types.

I'm goin with an Elf Ranger whose from Kyonin seeking to explore and posssibly help reclaim any Elven ruins or artifacts within the Stolen Lands. I'll try to get an actual character made, but I'm not positive I'll hit the cut off.

I've created a profile for Agnatha here. I also changed her school from conjuration to wood from Ultimate Magic. That felt like it fit in more with my image of her grandfather as a man who found peace in studying the creatures of the forest.

I think I'm the second person to thank you for pointing out that you can create the profile and still delete if you don't post in character. Thanks

Alright, here is Tovias Tirier, Face Extraordinaire, and for the most part finished. Am not quite content with the description and may clean up and fix the background, but I'll submit him anyway and do so if accepted. I did change Deceitful over to Weapon Finesse so he isn't absolute deadweight in combat, so he "only" rocks a +12 to bluff.

But hey, at least I came up with a name!

Monkeygod and others, As I said a fully statted characters helps me visualize the character but isn't necessary, so don't sweat it if you don't have one before the 'deadline'.

I've statted up Tarith Ordin. Thanks again for considering him.

Will the following Players/Characters please report to Lord Mayor Ioseph Sellemius' residence to receive their charters:

Agnatha Razumikhin
Caelius Nicos
Davor Mason
Holbrecht Bastionne
Ragnor Yver
Tarith Ordin

I had a hard time deciding between everyone and decided to go with six instead of five to give more people a chance to play. If/when anyone drops I will come here first looking for replacements before opening up a general recruitment thread.

The OoC thread can be found Here

Thank you all for your interest.

Sweet, thank you for the invite.

Gongradulations everyone.

DM: I was looking at the other characters and I noticed that that both Ragnor and myself took the sword scion trait. Will this be a problem?

Caelius does have noble blood so I could link him to a house if you would prefer.

Thank you again
~Caelius Nicos

Oh well. I wish you the best of luck.

good luck to everyone who failed getting in and I'll see the sucessful ones in game once the thread is up.

If everyone could post their characters in the OoC thread

Here

I will look them over and post comments and questions.

Thank you for the invite AJM8665. I look forward to gaming with everyone that made it. To those that didn't make it best of luck to you.

I WILL FEAST ON YOUR FLESH FOR THIS INSULT I WILL MEET YOU IN YOUR DREAMS!

Lol j/k gluck to those who made it in. :)

Have fun everyone.

SJ

We did and it looks like a good group as well. Now I wonder if the kingdom building rules will stretch to a dueling school.....

Poor Wandering One, if you could re-post Caelius' profile so I could look it over before we get too far that would be appreciated.
