I know that version 4.0 of the Guide to Pathfinder Organized Play is coming out soon.
I know that that everyone is busy planning for PaizoCon and GenCon.
I know that Hyrum and Mark listen to the players.
I know this is not too late ... there will always be a next version of the guide :-).
So, I'd like to see two changes in the rules. Why? Because I really don't like the current rulings.
1) I'd like to be able to purchase magical ammunition in lots of less than 50. Now I don't mind a minimum purchase number, but because of the rule, I just don't see any fancy ammunition being used by players. No Flaming arrows, no Bane Undead arrows, no Wounding bolts etc. I find this very unfortunate and bland. Now I can see the other side of the coin as well so I offer this compromise:
Allow purchase of ammunition in minimum lots as follows:
+ 1 arrows - minimum purchase of 10
+ 2 arrows or equivalent - minimum purchase of 20
+ 3 arrows or equivalent - minimum purchase of 30
+ 4 arrows or equivalent - minimum purchase of 40
+ 5 or better arrows or equivalent - minimum purchase of 50
This applies to any ammunition.
2) I hate the fact that I can be in Absalom, center of the Inner Sea region. City extraordinaire. With a Gold Piece limit of 250,000 and I can't purchase a +2 longsword for 8,015 GP because I don't have 27 Prestige Points. Someone would sell me one!
Thanks for listening.

Just My Thoughts

Things I'd like to see:
*In the coming PA redemption revamp provide an option for characters to spend PA or fame or whatever we're calling it to buy a limited rebuild of some sort.
*Streamline animal companions/familiars/special mounts. I don't like that paladins get access to whatever they want for mounts but for some reason cavaliers/oracles/barbarians get to choose between a horse and a camel.
On a semi-related note:
*Provide a way for characters to feel like they are part of the game universe. LG did this with regional storylines and meta organizations that characters could climb the ranks of (and that adventures would often have involvement with). This would make things much more immersive for me.
Thanks for all the hard work!

If we're on requests:
If the factions increase to 10, have only one faction mission per player. Award one PA for completing the Pathfinder quest, and 1 for the Faction mission. Having 20 faction missions in a mod is going to be ridiculous, especially when writing them - Faction 1: "Get the poison from the turtle." Faction 2: "Get the shell from the turtle." Faction 3: "Get the eyebrows from the turtle."
When it comes to trading them in you just need to find a senior Pathfinder who shares the same faction as you to get access to an item (they can locate the item via the Pathfinders or the Faction, which is why the tallies get added together when determining access). There's a fair chance any faction member would be taken under the wing of a senior member with similar loyalties, in order to ensure the faction thrives.
I'm not so keen on meta-plots as I still have Year 0 mods I haven't played, and I don't always have any control over what I play (at Conventions etc). Any meta-plots would need to be backwards compatible, shall we say?

This was addressed in yesterday's blog and you will like it.
Starting with season 3 the main society mission is 1 PA and you will have 1 difficult faction mission for a possible 2nd PA. Other changes too- check out that blog.Stormfriend RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32 |

If we're doing requests, I hope we're going to allow free faction changes at the start of the season, with the new factions. It would be a nice reboot for players who don't like their characters current faction.
I think this is especially important for members of the Andoran faction, who are more CG now (or rather it's more up front).

There will be rules on changing factions in 3rd season, details on those rules have not been released yet.

Rumor has it that you have to shower your VC with expensive gifts and should they deem your gifts adequate, they can hand-wave a faction change. At least that's what I was told, and you should let everybody know too, before Mark comes back from his honeymoon.

Wow... I don't know where my mind is today, but I when I read this, my mind messed with the order of these four words* and made it a much worse way to get your faction changed... <shudder> No offense Doug Miles(name drop) but no thanks.
On a better note, I do agree with the OP's #2, it just seems weird that we're based out of Absalom and yet we have to have permission to buy things we could normally afford. I understand the reasoning, it just seems weird to me...
*1423 if you don't get it

Only if you use Geeky Clean soap!
*I recommend the Sexterity Soap, my wife loved it.

I would love to see the Chronicle sheet bearing the imagery of the country in which the mod was set. After 10s of Chronicles all the same some variation would be nice but, more importantly, a symbol of one's progression around the Inner Sea would add a lot. Like collecting stamps in your passport.

One of the things I liked about Living Greyhawk was the idea of different regions having different sets of missions/adventures and metaplots. I would hope that something similar- even if on a reduced scale- could be instituted now that PFS has grown larger.
I loved LG, but I really hope they don't institute regionalization for PFS. For those of us who can't afford to travel more than a couple of states away, it's nice to be able to play any adventure at home.

My plan is to coat my venture captain in as much filth as possible and then deny him access to a shower until he relents. But I don't care to change factions so I am waiting until i find something i really want.
