I have sene the table with treasure for both basic and heroic NPCs, but I'm curious that if you add a template do you increase the value as if the NPC was a level higher or so on according ot the template or if instead ust use the treasure for CR instead?
Same for a creature with racial HD and has had PC levels added to it.

Even for equipment? I assume this is for NPCs that are monstours and powerful like a ogre with fighter levels or a noble drow with cleric levels?

So a 3rd level cleric that's also a natural werewolf is CR3. This has abilities of a heroic NPC so I have been giving it the gear of 3rd level so this description confuses me. Does is mean that now it's CR has increased by +1 that it still get level 3 NPC gear or do I treat it at level 4 for gear?
