I feel you guys' pain. I do not have much experience on the boards and may not be the most talktative person, but I make a point of checking the threads multiple times per day. And of the 3 pbp I participate, 2 have had players (and even a GM) retreating or not answering for weeks (I'll have to say at this point our Kingmaker game with Aron Marczylo is pretty much over).

Yeh - I loved that Kingmaker campaign, probably one of my favorites. Unfortunately the DM has been going awol for long periods over the past few months.

@Rune
I personally think the Brawler is great. Sure you might lose some feats, but you get the ablility to tailor your feats for the fight or situation you are in. Need Improved Steal to get the book from the mummy, no problem. Stuck in a ranged fight with no way to get to HtH range, now you have Deadly Aim. It gives you great versatility.

Probably want something that can be effective against undead considering those shadows.
Have you seen the Witches spell list? If it's incorporeal and mindless it is time to run. I should go through the spell list with a fine toothed comb to see what I can use in that eventuality. hmmm Limp Lash has promise.
.... My bad. You are now 5th.
Yes let the age of Hairy Murder begin!!
{aw man!! Strangling Hair does not have a target of "you". I can't use share spells to strangle people with rat hair. My life is empty.}
Aerieth Deventis |
Summon Monster is always good. Summoning those annoying Archons that everyone summons which fight with the ranged-touch force attacks. Another spell that will at least do damage is CLW/CMW.
Limp Lash might not be very effective since undead are immune to paralysis.

Tramadol is fun. But it reminds me of the heady days of morphine and dilaudid back when my pancreatitits was a threat. Pink-eye sucks kids. It's painful and makes it hard for the person you love to rub sexual organs against to look at ya.
In any case I'm going to call a game hiatus until after christmas. I'll go ahead and finish up the playtest encounter asap but everything else can go on hold.
The pirates are about to explore an island and hopefully end the first book their.
Both nobles and rebels are going into the third book of the council of theives. We'll probably skip the 4th book and get straight into 5th then 4th.
I'm actually open to the idea of letting the wastes groups roleplay themselves (npc's included) into meeting up and deciding on a course of action since it seems Mumbar is after a mutant conspiracy (it's like paranoia without the humor). Just bear in mind where you're at and screwing with the legitimate heavily armed authorities will not end well for you when I return.
So in the course of a few days I've had a toothache so bad I had to dorwn it in several ounces of rum. An eye pain so bad that it takes a powerful pain killer to help make better. Good days for my love of altered states of mind. Bad day for my liver.

So I guess the Wastes folks who are outside the jail can get those inside back out. Perhaps a work-release program.
Nobles should perhaps get their loots Identified before you leave and we can settle doling it out and buying stuffs ourselves.

axe was +1 cold iron.
Ring was a Ring of Water BReathing
Longsword was a +1 defending longsword. Really the keen longsword is a solid haul for Tal if he chooses to go with it. +1 weapons are pretty pricey at this level.
Where was the ash wand from?
The scrolls were (a scroll of chill touch, a scroll of
command undead, a scroll of ray of exhaustion, a scroll of vampiric
touch, and a scroll of false life)

Caldazar ought to start looking better as a melee character as well. He'll be having some decent buffs and now bane on top of it.
Your damage woes will start looking decent. Which is good because the pathfinder lodge has a lot of notches on its door for killed characters.
By the way: I worked on this.
For those interested in such things. I did the races section and a bit of work on the monsters specifically.
Sadly my name is not on the credits because the work was so long ago I was sort of forgotten. I reminded the owner though and that will look to be corrected.
So yeah I'm about to have my name in the credits next to Richard Pett and Owen "motherf+!#ing K.C. Stevens.
And all I had to do was genocide several races and turn humans towards their very worst aspects. :)

Yes a good number of those are on the monkey's list
Found the wand the ghoul fight.
After a minute of wading about the muck the tin man pulls up a grinning skull mask. It appears to be made of silver. After several minutes of digging and generally doing incredibly silly things he also pulls up a rotted leather pouch containing 52 sp, a
gold wedding ring, a rotting leather glove clutching 4 fine amethysts, and ash wand.
hmmm could be a typo... I don't think we checked the mask either.

Knowing Tark, it was probably a typo. I imagine that the "h" in the name of the wand was supposed to be a "s". Although that might make it a wand of stinking cloud.

Tark will I need to get scrolls made of the ones monkey can learn or can I just eat them raw so to speak?

Yeh, we have a witch and a wizard, so scribing for consumption is easier. Perhaps you could allow a wizard to copy the spells to his own spellbook for free, and in return get the scribing of needed spells at a cost or even less.

That was what I was thinking.
This looks like something the Children can help with.Castor the rat |
Merde! Stone Familiars are expensive!
Dammit! All I wanted was a perfect magical statue to commemorate my sublime greatness, but NOOOOOOO Castors can't get nice things.
Castor learns to talk to the Monkey this level. Be afraid....be very afraid...

If it's on the witch list I see no problem wiht you taking it.
On another subject merry christmas. Your present is a neat video describing sikh tulwar styles.
Neat stuff. We see so much chinese/japanese/korean martial arts stuff it's so easy to forget huge swathes of the world like india, the middle east, and europe in general. So it's a treat for me to run into stuff like this.

In that vein this african fighting style was the inspiration to one of my favorite characters.
