The players of such have vanished from the boards?

Male Orc Expert 5

In some cases. In other's they just left the game to make room in their lives. Sclivian disappeared and then reappeared briefly before disappearing again.

Rat, probably

Hmmmm.... Monkey may not be as dead as previously reported.
Thanks for the i-pad idea tin-man.

F Stormborn sorceror(2), Halfling Female [AC 13, Current HP 2/10, F+1, R+2, W+5, Init +3,Perc+3]

Rumors of your demise have been greatly exaggerated?

Rat, probably

Maybe.
Ryzern is gone though, sorry.

Going to try and see if I can keep up with one game for now. I kind of got overcommitted.

Foolish monkey.

Male Orc Expert 5

FYI to the playtest group we'll finish out this encounter with these characters then I'll let the revised characters do the next encounter.

IT's not released yet but I wanted to put that out there.

Tark, what do you think about converting Siera to a Brawler for the time being? I do not mind either way, but it could provide a chance to playtest a little bit more.

Male Orc Expert 5

I'm okay with it. Makes more sense in her case.

It should be fairly underwhelming (I think she stands to lose around 2 or 3 feats), but I'm getting so very few opportunities to playtest that I'll take anything.

I feel you guys' pain. I do not have much experience on the boards and may not be the most talktative person, but I make a point of checking the threads multiple times per day. And of the 3 pbp I participate, 2 have had players (and even a GM) retreating or not answering for weeks (I'll have to say at this point our Kingmaker game with Aron Marczylo is pretty much over).

Male Orc Expert 5

For the record BAsil...I'm sorry what they did to you. We'll get you to a domestic abuse center soon.

Yeh - I loved that Kingmaker campaign, probably one of my favorites. Unfortunately the DM has been going awol for long periods over the past few months.

Male Human Brawler 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 16, 12T, 14FF | Perception +5 | Sense Motive +7 | Fort +2, Ref+4, Wil +1

@Rune
I personally think the Brawler is great. Sure you might lose some feats, but you get the ablility to tailor your feats for the fight or situation you are in. Need Improved Steal to get the book from the mummy, no problem. Stuck in a ranged fight with no way to get to HtH range, now you have Deadly Aim. It gives you great versatility.

Free Fallout!

Rat, probably

Sigh.....is the monkey fifth level yet? I need to kill things with hair.

{No rush. I just want to try out the Strangling Hair spell, and Castor might enjoy Pup Shape. Mind you I think it actually makes the rat larger. Odd.}

Probably want something that can be effective against undead considering those shadows.

Male Orc Expert 5

Did I not tell you guys to level to 5th yet?

My bad. You are now 5th.

Have you seen the Witches spell list? If it's incorporeal and mindless it is time to run. I should go through the spell list with a fine toothed comb to see what I can use in that eventuality. hmmm Limp Lash has promise.

TarkXT wrote:

Yes let the age of Hairy Murder begin!!

{aw man!! Strangling Hair does not have a target of "you". I can't use share spells to strangle people with rat hair. My life is empty.}

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Summon Monster is always good. Summoning those annoying Archons that everyone summons which fight with the ranged-touch force attacks. Another spell that will at least do damage is CLW/CMW.

Limp Lash might not be very effective since undead are immune to paralysis.

Rat, probably

Whitches can only summon Evil thingies w/ SM3. At least that is what the PRD says

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

See my edited prior post. I cannot imagine why they could only summon evil, although in your case, I would not be surprised.

Male Orc Expert 5

Question for the Wastes folks: Did literally all of you take Touched by the Wastes?

Channel 2/9 G.AngelAspect,Shield of Faith(+4 AC) Cleric/Rogue 15HP87/112,Init+4,F13R11W17,Per+25,AC24T10FF24

Don't know about the others, but I got big strong arms.

Worked for my backstory

Female Half-Elf Witch 1

I took Arcane Explorer.

Male Orc Expert 5

i am drunk. as a result it might be best i not try to gm for the night.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Lets hustle him into agreeing to a lot of funky stuff then hold him to it! :)

Are you kidding? DMing/gaming can be great fun while drunk.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Gee, I don't recall buying that Girdle of Masculin Femininity.

Male Orc Expert 5

Pink eye est painful. Updates when I can see agai .

Male Orc Expert 5

Tramadol is fun. But it reminds me of the heady days of morphine and dilaudid back when my pancreatitits was a threat. Pink-eye sucks kids. It's painful and makes it hard for the person you love to rub sexual organs against to look at ya.

In any case I'm going to call a game hiatus until after christmas. I'll go ahead and finish up the playtest encounter asap but everything else can go on hold.

The pirates are about to explore an island and hopefully end the first book their.

Both nobles and rebels are going into the third book of the council of theives. We'll probably skip the 4th book and get straight into 5th then 4th.

I'm actually open to the idea of letting the wastes groups roleplay themselves (npc's included) into meeting up and deciding on a course of action since it seems Mumbar is after a mutant conspiracy (it's like paranoia without the humor). Just bear in mind where you're at and screwing with the legitimate heavily armed authorities will not end well for you when I return.

So in the course of a few days I've had a toothache so bad I had to dorwn it in several ounces of rum. An eye pain so bad that it takes a powerful pain killer to help make better. Good days for my love of altered states of mind. Bad day for my liver.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Cool mate, have a good Xmas!

Channel 2/9 G.AngelAspect,Shield of Faith(+4 AC) Cleric/Rogue 15HP87/112,Init+4,F13R11W17,Per+25,AC24T10FF24

So I guess the Wastes folks who are outside the jail can get those inside back out. Perhaps a work-release program.

Nobles should perhaps get their loots Identified before you leave and we can settle doling it out and buying stuffs ourselves.

Male Orc Expert 5

What was left to identify again?

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Cool cool - enjoy the break Tark, and I'll level up sometime over the break then :)

Axe
Long Sword that wasn't the Keen one
Ring
5 Scrolls from the Haversack
Spellbook
Ash wand

Male Orc Expert 5

axe was +1 cold iron.

Ring was a Ring of Water BReathing

Longsword was a +1 defending longsword. Really the keen longsword is a solid haul for Tal if he chooses to go with it. +1 weapons are pretty pricey at this level.

Where was the ash wand from?

The scrolls were (a scroll of chill touch, a scroll of
command undead, a scroll of ray of exhaustion, a scroll of vampiric
touch, and a scroll of false life)

The spellbook contained:

0level All

1st level 10

Magic Missile
Mage Armor
Shield
Mount
Charm Person
Protection from Law
Detect Charm
Summon Monster 1
Unseen Servant
Infernal HEaling

2nd level 10

Acid Arrow
Summon Monster 2
Glitterdust
Fog Cloud
Web
Stone Call
Blood Transcription
Blur
Command Undead
Skinsend

3rd level 10

Fireball
Spiked Pit
Stinking Cloud
Summon Monster 3
Dispel Magic
Explosive Runes
Magic Circle Against Evil
Phantom Steed
Communal Darkvision
Communal Resist Energy

Caldazar ought to start looking better as a melee character as well. He'll be having some decent buffs and now bane on top of it.

Your damage woes will start looking decent. Which is good because the pathfinder lodge has a lot of notches on its door for killed characters.

By the way: I worked on this.

For those interested in such things. I did the races section and a bit of work on the monsters specifically.

Sadly my name is not on the credits because the work was so long ago I was sort of forgotten. I reminded the owner though and that will look to be corrected.

So yeah I'm about to have my name in the credits next to Richard Pett and Owen "motherf+!#ing K.C. Stevens.

And all I had to do was genocide several races and turn humans towards their very worst aspects. :)

I forget about the ash wand. *shrug* might of mistaken one of the ID'd wands for it. I'll get this in the Nobles area. Perhaps Castor can start chomping through the spellbook if we don't get a wizard.

Rat, probably

Yes a good number of those are on the monkey's list

Found the wand the ghoul fight.

hmmm could be a typo... I don't think we checked the mask either.

Knowing Tark, it was probably a typo. I imagine that the "h" in the name of the wand was supposed to be a "s". Although that might make it a wand of stinking cloud.

Rat, probably

Are the spells useable?:

1st level
Magic Missile
Mage Armor
Shield
Mount
Charm Person....Known
Protection from Law
Detect Charm
Summon Monster 1...Known
Unseen Servant
Infernal Healing

2nd level
Acid Arrow
Summon Monster 2
Glitterdust
Fog Cloud
Web
Stone Call
Blood Transcription
Blur
Command Undead
Skinsend

3rd level
Fireball
Spiked Pit
Stinking Cloud
Summon Monster 3
Dispel Magic
Explosive Runes
Magic Circle Against Evil
Phantom Steed
Communal Darkvision
Communal Resist Energy

Not a bad list.

Tark will I need to get scrolls made of the ones monkey can learn or can I just eat them raw so to speak?

Male Orc Expert 5

Unfortunately it looks like yes the witches will need to have their spells either come from another familiar or come from a scroll. :(

The wand is of 33 charges of cure moderate wounds.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Soo.... if we tear the page out of the spellbook does that count :P

Well it looks like either that or an expensive scribing of scrolls and then feeding them to Castor. Perhaps we should see if there is a wizard who wants to buy it.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Yeh, we have a witch and a wizard, so scribing for consumption is easier. Perhaps you could allow a wizard to copy the spells to his own spellbook for free, and in return get the scribing of needed spells at a cost or even less.

That was what I was thinking.

This looks like something the Children can help with.

Rat, probably

Merde! Stone Familiars are expensive!

Dammit! All I wanted was a perfect magical statue to commemorate my sublime greatness, but NOOOOOOO Castors can't get nice things.

Castor learns to talk to the Monkey this level. Be afraid....be very afraid...

Rat, probably

TarkXT
Are ARG spells available for the monkey to take? Esp the following?
1. Marid’s Mastery
2. Touch of Combustion
3. Undine’s Curse
4. Web Bolt

5. Aboleth’s Lung
6. Binding Earth
7. Commune with Birds
8. Shadow Anchor

Male Orc Expert 5

If it's on the witch list I see no problem wiht you taking it.

On another subject merry christmas. Your present is a neat video describing sikh tulwar styles.

Neat stuff. We see so much chinese/japanese/korean martial arts stuff it's so easy to forget huge swathes of the world like india, the middle east, and europe in general. So it's a treat for me to run into stuff like this.

Male Human (Mwangi - Bas'o tribe) Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist archetype) 4

In that vein this african fighting style was the inspiration to one of my favorite characters.
