Wandermeal is a 1cp and you can eat it every day, and as long as you have a real meal every now and again you don't suffer ill effects from doing so.
*laughs*
beer nuts indeed.
Trust me. Get a job. You'll go stir crazy hiding in that god-soaked hole. Heck if I didn't get Pollux out of my fur evey now and then I'd eat his eyeballs. Besides a hideout is only good if folks don't see you traipsing in and out all the time.
So listen to a rat. Don't be a slacker, get a job.
Bloodless |
Happy enough.
Bloodless buys a Masterwork Chain shirt, can't afford a decent weapon yet (pretty sad by L3, damn AP's keeping us poor and hungry!)
Seems like a decent living to be made of his mad Animal skillz.
...Asmodia is welcome to stay at his house the nights she doesn't wander off with drunken sailors.
Hu5tru |
... Eaar-lay in the morn~nin'.
I was more insinuating if league members had a need to be healed, Asmodia could do it under the cover of making a few coin on the side, not that she was actually a courtesan. That would require a profession check and with 4 skill points per level, Asmodia cannot afford that :P
TarkXT |
It's a fluid transfer. The only Asmodia condones.
Sorry, I've watched Demolition Man recently. I've been holding off on the impulse to cast Illuminate fairly well.
G+%+&!it you've ruined westcrown and demolition man for me.
I really really didn't want to imagine off camera scenes where hellknights were bashing in the brains of citizens for not "being well".
I especially didn;t want to think of all of Westcrowns restaraunts being taco bell now with "Over the Varisian Border Nachos" hotter then an Alkenstar summer.

The church of Abadar just offered to buy a building off of us...gotta be worth something...hmm.....Tark, what's the going rate for land/abandoned buildings near the temple? Pavo may see about a bit of property speculation...
Bejis Krupt |
I'm not sure how it's best to split up the treasure fairly. I think I got one of the most valuable items.
1.) Bejis would like to take a Cure Moderate Wounds potion
2.) Bejis would like to help fund the purchase of a Cure Light Wounds wand (in addition to the other one), so we don't risk getting bogged down.
3.) Is there anyone who can use a larger share of money, or someone needs better gear? A Pearl of Power might prove useful, or perhaps some utility scrolls.
Asmodia Crispin |
Personally, I don't care that our main damage dealer gets better armor. Main damage dealer allows Asmodia to have AC 12 and do nothing but summon, buff and heal.
That said... I'm going to be taking item creation feats soon, so we won't have to worry so much about money, I hope.
The condition known as Santa Ana winds in CA has been blowing my fragile mind by swelling my sinuses up to the size of grapefruit on account of my allergies. I'll get something up on the IC as soon as possible.
Calumny "Calla" Tas'vere |
I'm fine with Bejis taking the breastplate, and have deleted it from the list. I'm also deleting the wand, so whoever's taking it should add it to his/her equipment list.
I'd suggest giving Bloodless the potion of disguise self, considering he stands out a bit.
Would Asmodia like the two tanglefoot bags? Might be useful for someone less likely to be in melee.
LeVash |
Increasing Bejis' combat capability is of direct benefit to everyone else in the party (the same would apply to Bloodless).
Personally, it makes sense to me to give items to whoever can reasonably make use of them (with some ad hoc modifications if someone is getting consistently shafted), and then divide the rest equally. If someone gets an item upgrade, they should put the old item back into the pot for redistribution...
Calumny "Calla" Tas'vere |
I agree with LeVash. That's how we've always handled it in my RL group. And potions can be redistributed as needed after combat in that situation.
(I actually have one current character who's the height of arrogance -- moreso than Calla, even. I made sure to tell my friends to tell me what they wanted out of character, because Archard Cowl would just take it on himself to decide who needed what but of course I as a player didn't want to shaft them.)
Bejis Krupt |
I meant to point out that while we can't divide the armor/weapons up (at least without destroying them), Bejis can't use ~350gp alone very effectively. He needs some gold of his gold share for mundane items and such. He needs an emergency healing potion, but wands of Cure Light Wounds will go farther.
To that end, is there anything others could use to make themselves more effective? Again, a Pearl of Power is within reach if we pool some funds.
Calumny "Calla" Tas'vere |
Hey guys, sorry to do this, but I think I'm going to drop out. I don't feel like I'm keeping up my end on posting enough and I don't want to hold everyone else up/be that annoying person everyone else is waiting on. This seems like a good spot to "give notice," since we're between modules (and someone else can still claim that morningstar +1).
I think I'm finding I prefer DMing to playing on PBP. I've been thinking about starting another adventure path and if I do that, I'll have even less time to run Calla.

Aw, but you're going to miss the best part of the whole AP. :*(
Bloodless |
Wait, Bloodless doesn't put out? Why the h*ll is Asmodia staying with him?
Well I didn't see Asmodia confirm she WAS staying with him, in which case he probably would have.
Bloodless |
Hey Bloodless invited you round, next move is on you babycakes.
Him and Calla just wasn't going to work out, he only would have gone there as a grudge, because we all know the grudge-shag is so cheaply satisfying.
Anyhow, he offered 'Rent Free', but if Asmodia is giving back the odd breakfast in bed then who is he to argue?
Calumny "Calla" Tas'vere |
Aw, but you're going to miss the best part of the whole AP. :*(
Yeah, I know. I'm torn about staying on for it, since I've heard so many good things, but I just keep looking and realizing it's been two or three days since I've posted last.
Asmodia Crispin |
I really need not to be drinking my tea when I open this thread.
Prefer you breakfast in liquid form? Actually had an affair with an oracle of Caiden in another game who summoned beer into his tankard first thing in the morning to relieve his hangovers. It ain't like Asmodia has anything to do till evening, and now that she's got lesser resto available, say goodbye to fatigue. :P
After a month of good living Bloodless has a beer gut and Asmodia can only slur her summoning spells between burps. Hahaha. Oh man.
*laughs*
Sclivian Ruttle |
Perhaps Aid Another on Tal's attack? That's about the rest of my options this round in terms of effectiveness.
(There will be a serious rebuilding of dungeoneering effectiveness coming up...)
Pollux |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Eh you are a low level wizard. You are paying your dues to be awsome later. This is why I prefer to play witches when I am looking for a prepared arcane caster. Witches loose a GREAT deal of the wizards flexibility but they almost always have something to do every round.
Sclivian Ruttle |
I know. Things will already improve somewhat with the next level (assuming survival). And I don't doubt that it truly drives home the "nebbish bureaucrat" feel of the character.
But part of it was my own making in this particular dungeon--spell choices, when certain things were cast, the disappearance of a particular dwarf... (all right, that last one wasn't me.) That can be improved upon.

He's already hit. You probably could run up and Aid another oen of the other two perhaps on AC.
Also it appears we only have one possible recruit for the Rebels game. Very sad. But perhaps we'll luck out. At least he's willing not to play a conflicting character right out of the box. :)

Drawing an AoO? No thanks. I'll just hold my position and be an extra meat shield for Pollux. Thanks for the offer on the new action, though.
Sunderstone |

+1
You are not useless, Mr. Ruttle. Low level Wizards don't have Alot of spells, a few undead encounters limits the use of sleep (and my particular type of energy channeling for that matter), etc. We also have never had cause to stop and rest to regain spells. These things will change soon, so I hope you don't deviate to far from Sclivian's original "flavor".My 2 coppers. Fwiw, I really like this group. Everyone's character feels unique. I only hope I can live up to that with Merax as he's pretty far from the norm for me.
:)
Sclivian Ruttle |
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Don't worry, I'm in this for the long haul. I love playing this character, and yes, Mr. Ruttle has had his moments to shine.
And absolutely, this is a great group! Personality-wise, so extremely diverse, and yet still, somehow, remaining a well-oiled cohesive unit.
Although I don't dare ask where Pollux got that oil from.

Adding my vote of confidence as well Ruttle really works quite well. I think he will work well with Pollux as time goes on as well. The witch spell list is rather specialized and could use wizardly support.
Oh and don't fret about the oil Castor said the inflamation should go down in a week or two!
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Don't worry Sclivian, I am sure that there will be a time very soon that Tal will just stand there looking around him going what the heck after you desimated an entire roomfull of enemies in 6 sec where it would have taken Tal a couple of minutes. Besides this lull now makes it even more impressive later. Heck the fighter is being shown up by a cleric in this melee.
On an IC note Tal does wonder what good you are right now though. :P
Caldazar |
Adding an extra voice to the chorus - don't sweat the small stuff as a low level wizard. They can get a bit frustrating, especially in dungeons that go on for a few encounters.
Just bide your time and roll over us in the later levels ;)
