Tark - if you do, you need one melancholic and tired immortal that has been around since the start and seen all of the others come and go and yearns for his own chance at death and oblivion...

Male Orc Expert 5

That would be assuming he's not in the gullet in something ancient and ineffable digesting for all eternity. Tark evil is not a nice evil.

The Exchange

I recall reading a short story within the Star Wars universe regarding a trapped Jedi Master (of a long lived race) slowly being digested by a Sarlacc.
Now I want to find it again.

The Exchange

Male Elf Fighter 3

Hrm... "A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett" featured in Tales from Jabba's Palace is where the reference is from.

Female Jedi in Sarlacc is where you can find some more information. Its pretty scant, but I remembered what you were talking about.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

I want to be Bowerick Wowbagger from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He is cursed with immortality, and decided to travel through time insulting every living being in the universe in alphabetical order to kill some time

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Just as a note, next Wednesday I will be driving to the east coast and will have limited internet on Wed-Thursday. My family is moving to the east coast and I may or may not have reliable internet access (or I may have tons if it gets set up). I am the advance party with the rest of the family following in a few weeks.

If I am slow on posting, this is likely why. I shall attempt to post at least once per day, but I really do not know how reliable my posting will be for anywhere from a day or two to two weeks. We are going to get internet from Comcast, and that is always a crap shoot at best.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard(Enhancement)/4

Hey guys. I am sad to say that RL is getting to hectic and I can't keep up with PbP (as evident by my lack of posting). It was fun while it lasted and I had a great time. Thanks for being a great group, Enjoy!!

Hmm.. Well what does this mean for the miscreants? Fast-track us through the book? Perhaps trim things down to a series of encounters instead of wandering through corridors.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Farewell Petronicus... another of the Nobles passes into the distance.

Just me, Pollux and the Rat still around from the first culling...

Male Orc Expert 5

Don't worry the rat will need to eat soon.

I'm not going to fast track anything. The group is still plenty solid for this next bit so I've no worries in that regard. I'll try to update later today.

Good luck Petronicus. Tal will miss contemplating wether you are an animated corpse or brought back for real.

We could always splash him with holy water to check.

Male Orc Expert 5

The church of asmodeus can adn will certify that he is indeed a living being with his soul intact. It will also list the charges made to the mayor for his ressurection be signed adn cosigned by three different witnesses and contain no small print whatsoever.

Seriously.

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

Touché both of you. Good to know you both have options to prove to this weak willed fighter what's truly going on.

(Male Mwangi Alchemist (Vivisectionist, Beastmorph) 2 AC 14/11/13 / HP 18/18 / F +5 R +4 W +3 / Init. +1 / Perc. +7)

I have been terribly slacking on Mumbata, and it has not been fair to the other players in S&S. I am updating the character as I type.

1d8 ⇒ 4 Hitpoints

(Male Mwangi Alchemist (Vivisectionist, Beastmorph) 2 AC 14/11/13 / HP 18/18 / F +5 R +4 W +3 / Init. +1 / Perc. +7)

All updated.

This is what Lorn imagines the crew does when she is unable to play...

Pirate shipboard games

updates tonight

Yeah...dead dogs hopefully.

Male Orc Expert 5

ha ha. No.

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

It was worth a shot.

So much romance among pirates!

Only if they share their rum first.

Female Half-Elf Witch (Sea Witch) 2

Friendly Informational Post

I'll be attending Gencon next week from the 14th to the 18th. During this time I'll pretty much be not checking the forums with any sort of regularity. I apologize in advance for this! Please feel free to bot me as necessary during that time to allow the game to continue.

I will also be GenConning. I'll be trying to check my emails, but.... Feel free to DMPC my as needed.

Male Orc Expert 5

Sometimes I look at combats in the games I run or play adn the three stooges theme plays in my mind.

Except for the Harpies game. In that one it's Singing in the Rain as sung in a clockwork orange.

Howlers are the Demonic Spiders of this adventure. The bite isn't what is particularly bad, or even the howl. It is that quill defense.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Bags being Moe...

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

Tark, please tell me the second foe is dead so I can move on to the third. These things are a pain, literally. If the reflex negated the damage that would be great, but it is auto damage...ouch.

By the way good luck in the wrath thread.

Perhaps we should star getting spears and other polearms for these situations.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

"Why yes mayor... I always bring my ten foot longspear to a feast... don't you?"

Not sure that polearms would've passed muster for being 'props'

m Human Ftr 9 HP:110/110 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:10/8*/9* CMB: +19 CMD: 38 Init: +3 Perc: +14 Link to the spreadsheet

"No really, they are used for skewering the eels across the table. I didn't mean to stab the guy in the gut. Honestly, I just missed"

Think they would buy it?

Mayor:Ten feet? Why my polearm is at least twenty, har har!

Have them smuggled in by the Children/Brotherhood of Westcrown?

Male Orc Expert 5

"Sir I'm afraid your Bec De Corbin will have to go into the coat closet along with the other guests pole arms, siege weapons, and great axes. And no, jsut because it's called a Bill does not make it your manservant."

For some reason they don't particularly like me...

Sometimes you just gotta pinch your nose and make use of a resource.

Rat, probably

Hmmm a 15 hit last time on the AC hexed beast so splat should happen thanks to Cal's help. Monkey is about out of useful hexes to slap on this thing. Maybe sleep hex in future but it looks a tad overpowered. I would hate for all fights to turn into Evil Eye vs. saves/Misfortune/Sleep grinds.

Just as long as monsters like Howlers are the ones getting put down, it is okay with me. Plus there are critters who are immune.

Female Half-Elf Witch (Sea Witch) 2

Back from the con!

Male Orc Expert 5

Updates tonight!

Male Orc Expert 5

Recent and long exposure to the Zone (playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) has led me to want to start an Alkenstar game emphasizing the weirdness of the mana wastes, firearms, and warring factions. :)

Look for a recruitment thread soonish.

I want to play an alchemist, the Glorian version of Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2.

Oh dear, oh very dear.

I'm in.

Male Orc Expert 5

It will be a bit yet since I'm considering the plot and how to make it suitable for pbp. Too closed and its railroady, too open and players have this terrible habit of taking forever to do anything which I've noticed has killed lots of my pbp's.

Hmm...Well perhaps having it more closed can work if people can get on board with that.

"I know you have a rock to mud spell and can tunnel down two levels, but I have things planned that require you to go through the dungeon"

"OH! Well okay then."

F Stormborn sorceror(2), Halfling Female [AC 13, Current HP 2/10, F+1, R+2, W+5, Init +3,Perc+3]

We'll leave the plot to you as long as we write our own lines.

Female Human Cleric 10 HP: 68/68 | AC 21/13/18 | Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +11 (+12 vs Charm/Compulsion)| Init: +3 | Perc: +9 | Channel 7/7 (5d6)

I'd be down, looking to play a Gunslinger.

Male Orc Expert 5

LEss what Trevor describes and more like running into an issue where there's lots of thigns a player can do. You run into the problem alot with investigative type adventures, or sandbox adventures, and some such.

It's better for me to give a clear map for players to follow so no one gets too hung up and things actually progress instead of people waiting days or weeks at a time for someoen to speak up and go "let's go to X".

Male Orc Expert 5

I should note by the way that the mana wastes aren't a dead magic zone. IT's soemtimes described as such but others have written it more like the Zone with weirdness and mutants running about ruins. Have I mentioned I really like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. yet? (it doesn't help that I've been tempted to channel Gregori by drinking several bottles of Vodka and knife fighting the first bloodsucker I come across)

So spell users are certainly viable in this game, but are prone to strange effects. Some good, some bad, it's really just dependent on where you are.

Stalker is an amazing series. Loved all of it!
