Sylvestra makes the bird her familiar. She also explores the middle hold which has a ladder that leads to the officer's quarters and pigs that are like houdini in that they routinely escape their pens. This is also where owlbear is being held.
Ah. Sylvestra, Lets hope the familiar takes a shine to you and not talk behind your back?. Although with our luck...

I dunno, that would be kinda fun to deal with.
Actually, I seem to have come upon a problem with Sylvestra. I tend to agonize over her posts, attempting to keep them in character for her. In fact, I've been going over the gameplay thread to analyze it, try to figure out what it is, and I think I've come upon it. It seems I, not quite sure how to describe it, 'fractured' her personality a little bit. Kind of have two distinct personalities I'm trying to attribute to her.
One personality is a fairly typical adventurer type, with only a slight pirate tone to it mostly reflected in speech.
The other is the more mystical sea witch which seems to only be occasionally interspersed here and there.
When I read through I can see both these things and they seem disconnected from each other, as though two different characters. I of course have some bias as I'm the one who wrote the posts.
So at present I'm trying to define a single personality for her. This might result in a slightly different personality coming off as I get it set. If anyone happens to have any suggestion on this one, I'd definitely appreciate it (though not quite sure what, lol).

Could be that as a Mystical Sea Witch, the eerie supernatural aspect of her personality becomes stronger, ther further she is from land. As she grows into her power the change will be less noticable as she develops into being that person all of the time.

Hello all, I am out of the hospital and back home now. Thank you all for the kind words. I am doing alright so far, but it could take about 6 months to fully heal.
Between the follow up tests that I need and the family visiting for the Holidays, I will be very busy through New Years. Feel free to choose an action for me if I can't get around to posting.

Satan Claus (i.e. 4 different family members) got together and got me a new high end laptop! :D
Now I get to murder you in high quality high def with a back lighted keyboard. If it were a car I'd drive it around the block a couple of times goin on bout my swag. :D

Wow, Xmas is over! Gotta say this has been a draining one for me. Hope everyone had a good holiday season (for those who celebrate).
Looking over my PBPs this morning (well, evening now), I realize it's been a bigger interruption than I thought it would be. So going through and apologizing to all my games for the somewhat unexplained absence and getting updates in as applicable.
And Rhialla, I like that idea! I'll see if I can't play off that one.

I scored Assassin's Creed 3 and Dishonored for xmas. Now I just need to wrap up Mass Effect 3 before starting either one.
Do yourself a favor and dont finish it.
That being said I took full advantage of the steam sale and got myself Portal 2, the binding of isaac, and dark souls: prepare to die edition. You know, light hearted games for the whole family. :D

I'm level 26 with the Mechro atm, I think I'm nearing the endgame. I've been clearing every side quest I can find, and I'm headed to "Opportunity" for three quests, one of which is for the main plot.
I'll be picking up the DLCs when I'm done too.
Tark, I bought Dark Souls myself recently for the PS3. Does the game still punish you (see Demon Souls) if you die by needing to clear out the entire level again every time you die?
It's not that Demon Souls was ever as difficult as they said, just reclearing everything every time you die eventually drove me away from the game.
I don't mind running back to my blood stain to get back the souls, but the endless respawns when you die will keep me from playing Dark Souls as it did with Demon Souls.

Why not finish it? Were you that disappointed with the ending? After the 100+ hours of playing through all 3 games I feel I should at least go through with the last battle.

Ugh! Really Riven?
Hah! I had actually typed it out before realizing just how fitting it was.
I heard the Swashbuckler pirates lack a dental plan and refuse to support Plan B under thier ship's insurance. Plus they pay the women pirates 10-20% less than the men. They really ARE evil!
Thats because most of the Swashbuckler's dont even have teeth. The women getting less pay is true but at least its better than what we pay the goblins right?
Mugwort is still here! Please don't throw Mugwort overboard!
Even if he asks?

I'm still here.
Just not a lot going on at the moment...
<Ties Mugwort to a long line and throws the goblin overboard. A sudden change in the wind sends the old ship skipping across the wave allowing Mugwort to become the first Goblin to water ski.>
I thought it was skipping when something bounced on the water like that.

Hey guys, I'm back after going dark, very sorry. Between the x-mas break, family and work stuff ... Then the thought of how much I'd have to do to catch up ... Ok here I am, ready to dive in ... If you'll have me.
