I'll have further updates asap. Been busy. Trying to punch out a 60 plus page book that's overdue (writing a setting about a an extraplanar city ruled by dragons) and prepping for Dragon Con where I will spend some time whoring myself by running games for NeoExodus and attending a friends panels. There is a chance of ingesting barely legal narcotics when he's around.
Sounds like a great time TarkXT!
I was actually trying to prompt the absent Feversea Swashbucklers though. No word from Kess or Ryzern in a while.

Talk to me, Mumbata. You in the service or in a maritime employment? I've spent a wee bit of time around such nautical stuff.
Lorn, I'm Active Duty. I run shipboard communications.

Quiet. Too quiet. Perhaps we've sailed into the doldrums...

Tark has likely just been hit with the busy stick in RL.
The busy stick was dragoncon. On the bad side I am broken beaten and hoarse.
On the bright side I saw Jason Buhlman and Monte Cook sitting on the same panel with a friend and long time professional acquaintance. I think he was believing it less than I was.

Nice! Hope you had a great time!

Nope, just the 3 heavy maces. I gave one to you, one to grok for my gear and kept one. The handaxe I gave to Rorgrim. Wish I had kept the armor and other one since she seemed ready to get rid of my gear after the curse

It's sad to see that it has been well over a month since we've heard from our dear LeVash.
I think of all the characters we've lost his hurts me the most. Mainly because his character had the greatest potential of everyone for awesome potential. There were many layers to the things I could do with the stuff he provided both good and bad for the group with such glue as to make it appear a natural part of the AP. Between his house, his brother, his alter ego, and the source of his druidic powers I could do and imply quite a bit and part of me was hoping that the banquet would be his time to shine as it was his natural element. A damn shame indeed.
Add that he was the last of the original crew who started that AP and it merely heightens my depression on it.
Ah well, guess we'll have to dig a tad deeper into the rest of you and start pulling on things that look sensitive....

Tark,
For what it's worth, I have read all of your CoT campaign, and I *really* appreciated the depth of his character, it was more than that though. Your groups made me appreciate so much more getting into your S&S campaign. I'll be following along.
P.S I really like how he used the bugs during the peasant hunt between Bastards and Trial to throw off the dogs. Really cool.

Hey there. Always great to see another long running CoT game going. We are slumming around the manor as well so I can't really stay here. *blush* Tough to lose a player, we had two leave due to school and other problems. Keep up the game, Hail Urgathoa!

Consider it a fresh start in some ways.
I see a lot of 'way forward' on this one, we just need to get the momentum going forward and it will be right!
It will change up the party dynamics, but in some ways I think we will probably be able to speed things along as well - the Bloodless/Bejis/Aerith connection are pretty basic guys in a lot of ways and that simplifies things, Asmodia is the only 'complex' character. Suppose it comes down to how she sees her role synergising with the others - there's some good 'Leadership' potential there, but she needs to get her shizt together to do so and step up to it, which means a little less emo and a little more sunshine :)
We might also be a little light on for killkill though, so not sure how we remedy that 'right now', all the suggestions (by the GM no less!) is that it all gets brutal in this book very soon. Do we need an interim level up or something ahead of schedule? I'd be keen to get this next part underway - killing stuff, or it will be more 'Fifty shades of Aasi'...
Aerieth Deventis |
Agreed Shifty - I am unfortunately a little weak in the arcane at this point. Going for Arcane Trickster sounds like fun until you are casting level 1 spells at level 4. You and Bejis can unload some pain, but losing a druid as a buffer/conjurer is a big loss.
Either way, we need to get moving so that the campaign does not stagnate. I know you and I are on every day - way too much - and we just need to figure out our next step (before Bloodless ends up with some strange VD), and get on with it.
Shifty |
See Bloodless wont get some strange VD, because he's tapping himself some aristocrat, and they have the dinero for 'whatever ails them'. Fortunately I get plenty of time to sit about checking boards most of the time... like the last bunch of days, where I have been just typing out long winded assignments.
Forward momentum is a must.
Asmodia Crispin |
was about to say Asmodia's dad is a disgraced noble who nutted into a servant and didn't kick her down the stairs. that earned him his exile in the s&@$ hole that is galt and a silly, shallow wife he could nut in for good. Asmodia was really his salvation to get back to Cheliax if she had stayed in school and learned to conjure little devils instead of celestial dogs and stuff.
Trying to be less emo, but everyone is making beasts with multiple backs and every suggestion i throw out IC is never discussed, we just kinda move on.
anyway, husband's surgery in a few minutes now. check back this evening.

Bejis being subtle means he refrains from attacking all the nobles here who are supporting slavery, by realizing that it won't accomplish much but a few dead nobles before he gets himself killed.
I should have pushed Diplomacy up over Sense Motive, as I doubt Bejis can get himself out of a sticky situation. I guess that is what next level is for.

Says the man whose character is getting laid.
Again.
Still counts, 'it's all swordplay'.
Anyhow, in do your GM magic mystic powers feel we need to pick up an NPC, should we level up a tad early, or how do we slide a new player in the gap given we are now in the crunchy bit of getting busy in the manor?
TarkXT |
I'm just going to handle LeVash until we either here from him again or this part of the AP is finished.
If he doesn't come back by then we'll see about getting you guys a 5th. Right now it'd just be downright silly to introduce a new guy. He might do something silly like die immediately.
