I'll have further updates asap. Been busy. Trying to punch out a 60 plus page book that's overdue (writing a setting about a an extraplanar city ruled by dragons) and prepping for Dragon Con where I will spend some time whoring myself by running games for NeoExodus and attending a friends panels. There is a chance of ingesting barely legal narcotics when he's around.

Sounds like a great time TarkXT!

I was actually trying to prompt the absent Feversea Swashbucklers though. No word from Kess or Ryzern in a while.

Lorn, I'm Active Duty. I run shipboard communications.

I lurk a few times a day waiting for updates. Im still active in the Noble's group since it's moving slightly faster.

Yes. Clearly that is sacrilege. Please don't let her near the rum barrel(s). DTs all around.

Are we dead, or is it just back to school/Labor day weekend family stuff? Apologies if I missed/forgot anything about this. :)
Have a good holiday weekend everyone!

Quiet. Too quiet. Perhaps we've sailed into the doldrums...

Well, I'm still here. If anyone needs anything, send rum and rats.

Tark has likely just been hit with the busy stick in RL.

I'm not here, yes I am, no I'm not. Damn split personalities.

The busy stick was dragoncon. On the bad side I am broken beaten and hoarse.

On the bright side I saw Jason Buhlman and Monte Cook sitting on the same panel with a friend and long time professional acquaintance. I think he was believing it less than I was.

Suh-weet! I Love those moments of "Uh How did I get here? They are putting the same value on my comments. Wow." Epiphany!

Male Orc Expert 5

Hello there.

Just sharing a bit of what I was going over the weekend that has made me so hoarse.

NeoExodus Demoing

Nice!

Looks so much more civilised than our Aussie equivalent games.

Just finishing up the pirates days today will get to the next day tomorrow. Just giving some time to reconnoiter since it's been a bit since the last update.

Male Orc Expert 5

Time to get the pirates movin since I'm getting the council groups moved along.

Male Orc Expert 5

That being said I haven't seen anything from Hu5tru or Ramarren since before I went to dragoncon.

Hu5tru does have the last RP post in the game thread.

True, but its time we went from RP to 'gettin busy' in thatgreat big Love Shack :)

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Some of us don't "get busy" in the mansion of love.

Male Orc Expert 5

Lady they're going to get drunk enough where even the chairs are bending over seductively.

Rat. At least we think so.

Is that a split-cane in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

Female Human Cleric/4

I do have the last post in the RP thread.

I was suggesting someone get busy in the mansion of love so those of us without stealth modifiers can sneak about banging pots and pans over our heads.

OH WAIT! That's a bad idea!!

*laughs*

Why does no one else have ideas?

Female Human Cleric 1

I can't remember, was there a rapier anywhere in the weapons Mumbata found?

(Male Mwangi Alchemist (Vivisectionist, Beastmorph) 2 AC 14/11/13 / HP 18/18 / F +5 R +4 W +3 / Init. +1 / Perc. +7)

Nope, just the 3 heavy maces. I gave one to you, one to grok for my gear and kept one. The handaxe I gave to Rorgrim. Wish I had kept the armor and other one since she seemed ready to get rid of my gear after the curse

Male Orc Expert 5

It's sad to see that it has been well over a month since we've heard from our dear LeVash.

I think of all the characters we've lost his hurts me the most. Mainly because his character had the greatest potential of everyone for awesome potential. There were many layers to the things I could do with the stuff he provided both good and bad for the group with such glue as to make it appear a natural part of the AP. Between his house, his brother, his alter ego, and the source of his druidic powers I could do and imply quite a bit and part of me was hoping that the banquet would be his time to shine as it was his natural element. A damn shame indeed.

Add that he was the last of the original crew who started that AP and it merely heightens my depression on it.

Ah well, guess we'll have to dig a tad deeper into the rest of you and start pulling on things that look sensitive....

(Male Mwangi Alchemist (Vivisectionist, Beastmorph) 2 AC 14/11/13 / HP 18/18 / F +5 R +4 W +3 / Init. +1 / Perc. +7)

Tark,

For what it's worth, I have read all of your CoT campaign, and I *really* appreciated the depth of his character, it was more than that though. Your groups made me appreciate so much more getting into your S&S campaign. I'll be following along.

P.S I really like how he used the bugs during the peasant hunt between Bastards and Trial to throw off the dogs. Really cool.

male Human Rogue (Pirate) 1

LOL! Too funny map avatar for Alistair.

@ TarkXT - was Riven able to find a weapon of some sort?

Female Human Cleric/Holy Vindicator 7/6 Init +4 HP 93/93 AC 25 (touch 12 FF25) F14,R7,W18Per+19

Hey there. Always great to see another long running CoT game going. We are slumming around the manor as well so I can't really stay here. *blush* Tough to lose a player, we had two leave due to school and other problems. Keep up the game, Hail Urgathoa!

TarkXT wrote:

Consider it a fresh start in some ways.

I see a lot of 'way forward' on this one, we just need to get the momentum going forward and it will be right!

It will change up the party dynamics, but in some ways I think we will probably be able to speed things along as well - the Bloodless/Bejis/Aerith connection are pretty basic guys in a lot of ways and that simplifies things, Asmodia is the only 'complex' character. Suppose it comes down to how she sees her role synergising with the others - there's some good 'Leadership' potential there, but she needs to get her shizt together to do so and step up to it, which means a little less emo and a little more sunshine :)

We might also be a little light on for killkill though, so not sure how we remedy that 'right now', all the suggestions (by the GM no less!) is that it all gets brutal in this book very soon. Do we need an interim level up or something ahead of schedule? I'd be keen to get this next part underway - killing stuff, or it will be more 'Fifty shades of Aasi'...

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Agreed Shifty - I am unfortunately a little weak in the arcane at this point. Going for Arcane Trickster sounds like fun until you are casting level 1 spells at level 4. You and Bejis can unload some pain, but losing a druid as a buffer/conjurer is a big loss.

Either way, we need to get moving so that the campaign does not stagnate. I know you and I are on every day - way too much - and we just need to figure out our next step (before Bloodless ends up with some strange VD), and get on with it.

See Bloodless wont get some strange VD, because he's tapping himself some aristocrat, and they have the dinero for 'whatever ails them'. Fortunately I get plenty of time to sit about checking boards most of the time... like the last bunch of days, where I have been just typing out long winded assignments.

Forward momentum is a must.

Female Human Cleric/4

was about to say Asmodia's dad is a disgraced noble who nutted into a servant and didn't kick her down the stairs. that earned him his exile in the s@+~ hole that is galt and a silly, shallow wife he could nut in for good. Asmodia was really his salvation to get back to Cheliax if she had stayed in school and learned to conjure little devils instead of celestial dogs and stuff.

Trying to be less emo, but everyone is making beasts with multiple backs and every suggestion i throw out IC is never discussed, we just kinda move on.

anyway, husband's surgery in a few minutes now. check back this evening.

Asmodia Crispin wrote:

Bejis being subtle means he refrains from attacking all the nobles here who are supporting slavery, by realizing that it won't accomplish much but a few dead nobles before he gets himself killed.

I should have pushed Diplomacy up over Sense Motive, as I doubt Bejis can get himself out of a sticky situation. I guess that is what next level is for.

I reckon just leave it, Nix. If we can't talk our way out we can just fight our way out. "Less chat, more splat", all this talking is what keeps getting us in trouble anyway.

Male Orc Expert 5

Says the man whose character is getting laid.

Again.

Female Human Cleric 1

Will be closing on a house and moving over next 3 days so may be a bit silent. But still here.

TarkXT wrote:

Still counts, 'it's all swordplay'.

Anyhow, in do your GM magic mystic powers feel we need to pick up an NPC, should we level up a tad early, or how do we slide a new player in the gap given we are now in the crunchy bit of getting busy in the manor?

Male Orc Expert 5

I'm just going to handle LeVash until we either here from him again or this part of the AP is finished.

If he doesn't come back by then we'll see about getting you guys a 5th. Right now it'd just be downright silly to introduce a new guy. He might do something silly like die immediately.

Female Human Cleric/4

Everyone loves bloodless...

No one loves me!

*runs off crying*

Oh, hello mister bottle. you never leave me... :P *squeak squeak*

Bloodless already gave you sweet sweet love.

Female Human Cleric/4

Must not have been that memorable. ZING!!

... you know she'll be crawling back, then see your dog and go into her PTSD mode :P

*giggles*

Anyway, I should see if she left any spell slots free to pray, which is totally what she meant.
