As a matter of convienience I'm dumping both groups into a single ooc thread so I only ever to hit that post button once. First the ground rules.
1.Minimal metagaming: It happens and I don't particularly mind it so much. But blatant metagaming won't be tolerated. Sneaking into he group whose ahead of you to get an idea of what's next might be unwise anyway since I expect both groups to operate very differently.
2. I fill in gaps.: For the sake of clarification and story it's not uncommon for me to fill in gaps in character backstories that have remained empty or vague. This is mostly to make the backstory fit the game or to give a character incentive to take part in soemthign he'd otherwise not care about.
3. How combat works.: Essentially I roll everyones initiative and take the average of those rolls as the groups initiative. Same as the badguys. Initiative for the group itself is done in order of posting. If there have been a bunch of posts and you have not posted for 24 hours since the last actions than you'll get NPCed for that action so we can get through the combats quickly. I'll use a battlemap with X/Y coordinates to make things simpler on you.
4. Ask questions: If you need to know something; ask. preferrably with some kind of roll attached. That way I don't have to ask for them. Sometimes I'll roll knowledge checks ahead of time so I can give ou that knowledge beforehand to save time. But not often.
5. Posting: Let me know ahead of time if you can't post for a day or two for some reason. One psot a day is the minimum I ask, If you disappear for three or four days without notice expect to be replaced and not let back in until someoen drops again.
In any case I'm giving everyone a chance to finish their characters or make any appropriate changes they might want to do now that they are aware of what the rest of their party consists of I will post Incharacter threads this weekend with a deadline for finished characters on friday. In the meantime I have to go grocery shopping so I'll brb.
Caldazar is ready to begin once all others are gathered. Only pending changes are filling in the bits and pieces equipment (sacks n bags n whatnot). Feel free to massage my backstory as much as you like :)
I can confirm that I have read the rules and have no issues. Once a day is easy for me. For reference I am GMT +8 in Malaysia.
I'm not particularly opposed to it but I do not have my copy as of yet so I'm holding any changes from that book until I get my pdf.
Well I be waiting til a hardcopy makes it to my FLGS so no rush at all.

I've got you covered in that regard.
Sclivian is really going to have a bad month.
Sclivian's going to need a bodyguard. Well guess what that makes you?
Or maybe not. RL got uppity. Cash corrected tonight, Azatoth willing. Everything else is good.
My stats are underspent? You sure?
You said 20 points right?
STR 12 2 points (this becomes 14 with the human bonus)
20 points total
Unless I am missing something.

But then I always assume max efficiency. It's my inner optimizer at work. :P
Honestly when I was building him I totally forgot that I HAD the +2 bonus for being human. My brain was stuck in 3.5 dnd mode
So I kinda tacked on the +2 after the fact.

(But, thankfully, I do have a Scroll of Destroy Ink!)

Ever watched Burn Notice?
So I googled Burn Notice.
I like it! So yeah, Mr. Ruttle is like Burn Notice meets Shark at Hogwart's, while Brazil plays in the background. With devils. Then might have to go Harry Dresden.
As a PC, that's terrible. As a player and audience member, it's awesome.
(Incidentally, I had a Brazil + Perdido Street Station thought for the character, then discovered that he seemed rather Harry Potter when all was said and done.)
