Male Human Witch 5

Ok Pollux at level 3 is all done

Went with Cackle. I am still on the fence about Cauldron. I would need to buy scrolls of the potion possable spells to teach them to Castor and I am just not seeing enough good potionable spells on the Witch list to warrent a hex/feat.

The potion crafting nerfbat hit the witch and the alchemist hard.

Male Orc Expert 5

So, I've been considering starting another PbP game set in golarion after thanksgiving with the palyers being assassins and working for an undergound network simply known as the Spider's Web. They're a much more secular rival to the Red Mantises so there is the potential of antagonism there.

It'll be fairly open ended on how the group will operate. Essentially you get a job, the parameters for it, and the group carries it out. I'll probably work in some sort of reputation mechanic to give incentive for the characters to be professionals and not just hired killers. I'm jsut posting this as an interest check to see if going through the effort would be worth it.

Female Human Housewife/1

would the characters be evil then? and how would you keep an evil group from murdering each other?

or is that part of the fun?

Shadow Lodge

Sounds like fun! I've greatly enjoyed playing the fastidious Mr. Ruttle as he desperately holds onto the maddening normalcy he perceives his world. I'd be up for this, too.

Professionals don't murder each other.

Marks of Justice will be involved but that's insurance against betrayal of the networks secrets, not one another.

Female Human Housewife/1

i'd be down for a good old fashioned evil cleric. use inflict spells, raise some undeads to batter people into oblivion...

Shadow Lodge

I think I'd like to try out the Mist Assassin.

m Human Ftr 5 AC*:26,12,24. HP:50/50 Saves:7/5*/6 CMD 26*

You can count on interest here. Don't know exactly which type of character yet but my curiosity is piqued.

TarkXT - you've got my interest piqued in a big way.

How secular are we talking? - would we all need to be following one god, or are we able to pick and choose amongst the pantheon of those that would favor evil backstabbers?

A spiked chain fighting Kuthite is something I've been interested in for a bit.

Thats true, Evil people don't arbitrarily go around killing each other, or you'd never have evil armies etc.

Professionals occasionally have to have a bit of a prune of the tree, but thats usually a calculated move for the greater 'corporate good'.

:)

I'd be keen, but I am away for a few weeks end jan - early feb, so will sit out of the selection process

Male Gnome Sorcerer/8 - (HP: 46/46 - AC19;FF16;T17 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

I am interested. Not sure what yet, but this sounds cool.

Interested.
Will this be a one shot? I'm having a blast with Merax so far, I'm sure dialing it up (a hair? ;) ) would be fun too.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/8 - (HP: 46/46 - AC19;FF16;T17 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

I think that an evil wizard would be good, will have to think about it to get a good background together.

Female Human Housewife/1

Happy thanksgiving to you, too Tark. Have sex with the pretty boy or he'll be cross with your character :P

Well you are about to die in about four days. He has a t-shirt to give. It says "I had sex with Thesing and all I got was herpes and this lousy t-shirt"

Female Human Housewife/1

haha

Asmodia cast diagnose disease first.

It's all about preparation.

actually, if you're going to run that, i will go ahead and throw this up:

Asmodia Fort Save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

yep, pretty sure she's safe.

Male Orc Expert 5

For those who voiced interest the assassin game's recruitment thread is up now. As to the question of religion? They're secular to the point whre they don't allow religious fanatics in. Religion tends to get in the way of doing a good job.

So with both groups having finished there books I have to say I don't regret having two groups. Both handled there's in vastly different ways. I really doo look forward to seeing how some of you develop. It'll be interesting to see how Tal the family man will mix in with the evil cultist, not-so-evil cultist, the madman, and the guy whose too normal to be real (yes, I do enjoy Mr. Ruttle the eternal desk jockey).

It'll be hilarious to see how this group handles the next book. I seriously doubt anything you've done will prepare you for what's next.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

Oh yes - I'm definitely looking forward to it as well. Considering how our first and only attempt at 'diplomacy' went in the first book (which was Caldazar being diplomatic.... closely followed by Merax offering to kneecap the fellow and Pollux offering tea if I recall)... will be quite intriguing.

You know Tark you should really stop referring to the Tik-man as insane. He might take offense and snap like a dry twig.

As for the next book I say bring it on. Pollux works in the Opera, do you really think anything can surprise him anymore?

Passing, but lurking, on the Assassin game. Not my style but I expect I will regret passing on it once it gets started. You run a great game.

Same boat as Pollux here. Passing but lurking. Ive been thinking about running a possible AP (or getting into a Kingmaker or Carrion Crown) for a long time, Ill make a decision by xmas or during the xmas break. I dont think I can fit 3 games into my life.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Flying back from the US tomorrow, I'll be back on Friday.

What the heck. I was expecting the usual Pollux. Where did this normal person come from and what has he done with our half crazed, half possessed man we are used to. That being said, Tal likes the line of thinking.

Rat. At least we think so.
Tal Bernard Mainz wrote:

Pollux comes from a noble background. He can talk the talk. Add to that the fact that the torture that broke our hero habbened in a formal setting and you get a different Pollux for this different clime.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Huh, who would've thought it? The cast member that LeVash would never consider trying to engage in conversation with would have been the most receptive...though it seems our cleric is pretty pissed at him :)

Female Human Housewife/1

Yeah. I know mangled children don't mean much to the nobility, but mangled orphans mean quite a bit to stray cat clerics of Cayden.

Female Human Cleric/4

Bloodless:

Just had a thought, what language would Asmodia and Bloodless typically speak when they're alone? She's fluent in Celestial and is a summoning build...

M Aasimar HP:42/42, AC:16/T:12/FF:14 - Percep: +11(Dark Vis) F:+5/R:+6/W:+3 CMD: 19, Spd: 30ft, Init: +4/+6 Ranger 4

Asmodia:
Probably just 'common' out of habit... perhaps Celestial afterwards, as in "oh god! oh god!"

Female Human Cleric/4

Bloodless:

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Of divine proportions, I am sure.

Just out of curiousity, Tark (or anyone in the Nobles group) are you planning to possibly run a CC AP in the near future? I love the group/players we have, and I wouldnt mind joining in a 2nd AP with any or all of you before I commit to another pbp.

Hate to burst your bubble, stone but Tark and the nutcase are playing in a CC pbp at the moment. I can't speak for Tark and say that precludes him running one but I am pretty sure the fool behind Pollux would not want to be a player in two versions of the same AP.

Female Human Housewife/1

I just realized that at level 5, my cleric is going to be tripping every hellknight within 60' like a fire alarm. Strong Chaos aura. HAHA.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor of Milani (Preacher archetype) 4

C'mon Merax - join in the chorus for bloodlust. Caldazar's getting lonely being the only one baying for noble blood :P

On the other hand I can see the headline in the Westcrown nightly news ... Foolish Inquisitor called Gorumite coward, when the pounding sound stopped there was not enough left of the body for proper forensic identification.

Could have been worse you could have done it in the other game. Tal's reasonable.

Bejis however is based on a less than reasonable man.

Female Human Housewife/1

Strangely though, Bejis is almost always more calm than the NG cleric who will be boosting wisdom at level 4. Although I've been playing her far more chaotic these days... Screaming at Arael, bumping uglies with actors and making out with chicks in front of an audience.

The Shade is busy doing his best impression of Christian Bale's Dark Knight, Bloodless is a virulent racist, the scarred up Elf is... a strangely none too intelligent wizard who prefers to work alone... and my drunken cleric of the god of brosephs and frat boys. And then there is Bejis, who puts in a day's work, goes home and eats unflavored cream of wheat. For all we know.

Maybe he's secretly John Rambo, or at least has an active fantasy life.

a) Im with you.

b) Dibs on your face after Tal is finished with you. I need to make a mask out of it for religious purposes.

Understood. :)

While joining another AP pbp beyond the CC I was just accepted into is not on my to do list, I would probably make the time for it if enough of us were involved. So keep me posted. :)

Linkify me please to your current CC please. I'd like to be a nosy lurker if thats ok.

Thank you, Caldazar, for making me the civilized, sane one again.

Male Human Barbarian 5

I was actually thinking the pathfinder rage worked like Brock Samson.

I view Bejis as similar to Samson overall. He's been scarred emotionally in the past, but he's worked out some kind of reasoning for the time being.

His apparent outer peace is a shell. He holds combat as an art, almost ritualistic, and takes his solace in his combat skills.

Awww come back to crazy-town Merax... we miss you.

Though must say - mad props for the roast reference ;)

Caldazar wrote:

I never left crazy town, I just need the group together for my goal.

A little secret btw as to just how far I considered going with Merax....

When Tok disappeared from the boards and we were looking for a replacement, I had considered murdering him secretly if I had the opportunity (by accidentally spontaneously casting inflict wounds when he was in dire need of a heal) for the simple fact that he was too Lawful (as opposed to my chaotic nature) and he would be trouble in the decision making future. I figured it would make a great RP experience (in character for Merax) and more interesting than him just exiting a dungeon and disappearing on us.
I wasnt sure how the group would take it though. ;)

lol@ the Halfling Barbarian comment Tal. Getting trounced by one would make me feel like I was beat up by a fifth grader.

Fixed. sorry, names were similar. :/

You guys convinced me time to kill the noble and leave a sign for all to follow. Thanks for the RP guys it was fun. This is the reason I like PBP. So much more time to interact and think out responses instead of just quickly getting through situations. I just hope I didn't prolong it for Pollux and Sclivian.

You're going to need an expensive plastic surgeon for that nose sir. But don't worry, real boys don't wear their falsehoods on their faces. Or so the scary priests at the church of Asmodeus tell me.

Once you spit them and put them over a barbecue for a few hours, Asmodean priests taste just as good as any other priests.
