Monte Cook, Ed Greenwood, Steven E. Schend, Brian Cortijo & Christopher West all working on a single adventure anthology for the PF system?!

And another huge standalone PF compatible adventure called Citadel of Pain, from Louis Agresta and YOURS TRULY?!(Coronets blare a stately fanfare)

Gaming Paper’s Erik Bauer, along with West, Cook, Greenwood, Schend and Cortijo join Ed Healy and I on Episode 55 of the Atomic Array podcast to preview this new line of Gaming Paper Adventures, a first foray into publishing from the company that won two silver ENnies in 2010 for “Best Miniatures Product” and “Best Aid or Accessory.”

At show’s end, listen in as I punk each of these legends of gaming. Methinks I’ll never work in this town again… which is actually great timing because I couldn’t afford the taxes anyway.

Enter our contest to win one of two copies of the Citadel of Pain adventure. I coauthored it and it is simply magnificent. I really can't say enough good things about it. ;)

By the way, why isn't your Citadel of Pain on Paizo?

I'm working with the artists now as they run it to the end zone. Citadel should release in 4-6 weeks. I'm sure Paizo will carry it.

Erik Bauer wanted Christopher West to create a Megadungeon Map Pack set and then use different configurations of tiles from that set to fuel adventures in the anthology and the standalone adventure. He went to kickstarter.com to try and raise three grand. You won't believe what he was able to raise there. All publishers and aspiring publishers take note!

I've seen some crazy stuff happen on kickstarter.com listings.

And that is an impressive lineup. If you had any more heavy-hitters involved, I wouldn't be able to pick up my computer!

Encumbrance Rules... pfft. The eternal limiter of how much fun you're allowed to carry at one time.

When does it all come out?

I was one of the Kickstarter sponsors, and I've got my maps - just anxiously awaiting the adventures!

I'll ask. I believe the Citadel of Pain adventure is four to six weeks away and the adventure anthology penned by those RPG All-Stars will release some time before Gen Con, but that's all I know at the moment. As soon as I hear of any release dates, I'll check back and post it.

Awesomeness!

It was a blast being on your show with all the legends Rone. I cannot wait to get your adventure out. Art is wrapping up. Just layout and printing to go.

For the anthology, Steven and Monte's adventures are going through editing now. Brian and Ed's will head that way in about a week. So pushing for an August Gencon release (and super signing as mentioned in Atomic Array 55).

Like Erik said, it was loads of fun being on the Array with you and Ed.

I'm really starting to look forward to Gen Con now, if only to see a lot of you guys again and the usual shenanigans that result from the same.

(Yes, I'm enough of a gaming dinosaur to use that word. Now get off my lawn, you pesky kids!)

Thanks for bringing those release details.

But can the world truly withstand the shockwaves of mighty pens hitting paper during the coming... super signing? Some scientists suggest there's really no way to predict the outcome, be it a Indy swallowing black hole or the spontaneous birth of a new galaxy.

I feel the exact same way, Steven, and I absolutely promise you shenanigan laced high hinks. I even have something in mind.

No one ever minds a talented linkifier, Dark Sasha. Bless the good work that you do. :)

I'm probably not reading this correctly, but it looks like they are raising money for a series of novellas, not adventures.

Steve's Kickstarter project Secrets, Like Dragons is a fiction anthology (with Steven, of course, Ed Greenwood, Jaleigh Johnson, Rosemary Jones, and J.M. Martin)... but the Gaming Paper Kickstarter project is an adventure map combo project.

Oh, okay. That must have confused me.

Any more updates on these two adventures?

What levels are they going to be for?

Thanks!

Citadel is 7th and the mega dungeon has 4 mini dungeons in it by one of each of the people listed. They are for levels 7-8th, 3-4th, 5-6th, and 1-2nd. So it looks like if you start with the last adventure, then the second, followed by the 3rd and finally the 1st adventure. It will take you from 1st up to about 8-9th. I am guessing I didn't add up the xp to see how many levels you would get for each section.
