I think the community loves Google Docs. Is there some reason that you can't use that?
A distant second would just be to write it all up, then copy it into a thread here. We can link that thread. Or, if you have a blog, you can add it to that (or I can post it on my blog if you like). But Google Doc is preferred.

I was hoping to see an analysis of the third party bloodlines, ( Aquatic, Giant, Plant, etc.)
You know, which ones are broken, how effective they are compared to the regular ones.

Ah, ok. I generally don't jump into third-party stuff because 1) it can be so variable in power level and 2) I don't want to play favorites and there so much out there. After I truly finish my Race Guide (which will likely be a while) I will consider going back and working on the 3pp stuff.

Why isn't the Guide to the Zen Archer under the Monk section? Just curious.
I think there's also an archer guide from Grizzly that could be linked, too.
thanks

Dot. And is there a good white haired witch/hexcrafter guide? Ive seen posts on them but no guide.
Hexcrafter White Haired Witch in the builds at the end of this guide
STR Ranger, not me, wrote the guide, as you will notice if you follow the link.

We need an updated ranger guide. So much has come out for rangers since the Core book so Treantmonk's guide is little out of date. The other two guides focus on archery and two-weapon fighting. What about Natural attacks or Two-handed weapons rangers? Anyone have any links to some good information on this?

Another useful guide for the other useful guides section.
Races of Pathfinder: An Optimization Guide
This isn't a guide by me, it is Cartmanbeck. All credit to him. I just like to disclose that as if the author's name on the page wasn't enough. . . Citations rock!

Also Eleanor Lokrien Savat's guide to being just like Eleanor Lokrien Savet.
Please let me know what you think, and I will update/alter/improve as we go!

Hey Eleanor,
I added your guide to the "Guide to the Builds" instead of the "Guide to the Guides," given that it's focused on a single build. Great build, I gave it three stars!

When people are doing the colour-coding, could you please use a paler green (like some of the guides do)
I can't tell the difference between the green & orange on Trentmonks guides :(
In my guide I made a point to also do a star rating (* to ****) in an attempt to help with this. I found that the lighter greens were difficult to read. I'm not sure if this helps though since I haven't asked for feedback from the colorblind.

Speaking as one of the colorblind, the star ratings are very helpful.

Not being colorblind, I still like having the stars there. When I first started reading these guides, I kept having to go look back at the color coding system at the beginning when reading guides, because I didn't remember which colors indicated good or bad options at first.

I agree. Personally I really like the four color rating system because it keeps everything very simple. Terrible, Okay, Good, Great. I don't care for rating systems with 5-6 colors simply because it's all so subjective anyways that it just feels like clutter eventually.

He might mean with respect to other casting classes or even with respect to non-casters.
I've seen several players want to give something wierd to their fighter or rogue to really make it stand out. But they don't want to be gimped either.
Though I have to admit I haven't looked at your guide in a while, so maybe you added that.

There are SEVERAL guides on Eldritch Heritage (or Sorcerer bloodlines).
They appear as sections in the guides about Sorcerers (obviously) with a special mention to Cartmanbeck who indeed dedicated his guide to this aspect. There is also some consideration about Eldritch Heritage in Sean FitzSimon's guide to the Oracle (in the feats section).
IIRC I saw a small paragraph on them in another guide but I don't remember which one right now. My guess would be to have a look at the guides for CHA-based classes (including Cleric) as they are the most likely to consider taking Eldritch Heritage.

Requesting some more guides on prestige classes! Most of them get a lot of flak, but I feel like a well written guide can show how they can be useful?
On another note: Not sure if it's appropriate to ask here, but what ever happened to Treantmonk? He did a bunch of awesome guides (looks like some of the first ones were from him) and then didn't do any others?

I think he just got burned out on the guides. He wrote four in a row if I recall, which is a huge undertaking.

Yeah, he did Wizard, Monk, Bard, then a three part Druid guide back to back.
On a side note, as the game gets more and more splat books, it becomes more and more difficult to address all the various possibilities. It is one thing to analyze the spells from a book, let alone the spells from Core+UM+UC+APG+ . . . Same applies to feats. There are just so many possible combinations. I tried to do an oracle guide a'la Treantmonk's guide to Druid, e.g. breaking Oracle in to Combat and Caster, and after almost 60 pages, I just threw my hands up in frustration, and walked away.

I still go back to my spell guide from time to time but it is such a huge project, and I have been getting really busy with other and more important writing projects, that I haven't had much headway in the last six months.
Guides are a ton of work, and it turns into a full time job if you try to cover everything.

Tried looking through it...difficult to look through as it's not searchable or filterable by class

I hear ya. I got a lot of "you didn't address this," and "you didn't mention that," to the point that I saw that every splat book is just going to add more stuff, and after reading 60 pages, you should have a pretty good idea what to look for when you're making a character.
If you read the guides on whatever class you're considering, you should be informed enough to make good decisions when new options come out. Treantmonk's guides were good for core, and what he says still applies to the concepts of the classes, if not the later options. If you want to make a "god" wizard or a switch-hitter ranger, 90% of the ideas behind them are still right there.

Not sure if Harmor updates the post at the start of this thread, but I've added your guide to the Complete Guide to the Guides Looking forward to the discussion!

Since Yesterday I can't open the Guides.
Every time I try it, I get linked to a clear Google site.
What is wrong with it? What can I do to see the guides?
Which guides can you not see? If they are all the guides on the Google site, then perhaps you need to log in to Google to see them.
