Thanks, this is a great resource. Too bad it isn't sticky, it took me a while to find it.

Silver Crusade

Shadow Lodge

I know this sounds like a contradiction, but would anyone be interested in a guide for using suboptimal race combos in ways that don't suck. This would involve things like Elven Monks, Halfling Wizards, Gnome fighters etc.

I would like to recommend this guide as a guide for both Paladins and Antipaladins.

Is there discussion thread?

You can comment on the document in the comment stream, but there is no discussion thread set up anywhere.

There is now a discussion thread located here.

This is quite a good guide. It will be even better when you include all the archetypes.

In what way would you like to see me include the archetypes? :)

Well... for a start you could mention the Divine Hunter archetype and how it is such a good fit for the Archer build concept.

I don't think any Paladin guide would be complete without mentioning how awesome/broken the Oath of Vengeance is from UM.

So there's a couple of ideas to get the ball rolling.

Awesome. Thank you. Do you want to add it to the Antipaladin slot as well?

I highly recommend opening a discussion here and closing your comments on your document. I had to deal for two weeks with a troll on my spell guide. The comment system wont let you block specific people, you can't really delete replies, and the troll can resolve the comments. Resolving doesn't delete them, but it does hide them.

Just a little FYI and helpful advice.

I really love your document, it looks beautiful and clean. Possibly the best looking guide I have seen. Too bad I won't be playing a paladin anytime soon.

From my experience its better to have people comment on your guide from the Message board and for you to update the guide periodically.

Unless your guide is a Wiki where you can control the users' contribution you'll have trolls like CalebTGordan mentioned.

Oterisk's Guide to the Dragon Disciple(discussion)

There, that should make it easier for those people who scroll through here. My first post was not as helpful.

Out of curiosity, hamor, did you think about making a google doc with all of these links? It might be a good way to go. That way we can have them all on one page.

CalebTGordan, I appreciate your advice. However, to this point, I have zero comments in the comment stream and I do have an open discussion here, which is progressing rather merrily aside from a bruised ego from one of the commenters. Still, I think you may be right and have closed off commenting on the document itself. Thank you for that suggestion.

By the by, I love your spell guide. My only fist-shaking criticism is that you're not finished yet. :)

As for the clean document... I do my best to try to keep it looking clean. I was a freelance writer (briefly) for one of the larger publishers of RPGs and did some work with their layout specialist in creating and maintaining (until I gave that up) an errata guide that was just as clean and detailed as their published works.

After all, a guide that is difficult to read or tedious for the eyes to look at will not keep one reading. I am tempted, however, to re-write certain portions of it to try to give it a more humorous approach. :)

harmor, I might recommend opening a lab on d20pfsrd and setting up a Google Document space that contains a complete indexing of the Guide to the Guides in the vein of Oterisk's suggestion. Granted, I realize you have everything in the first post, but you could ask for this thread to be stickied and make changes to the Google Document page.

Someone suggested i throw this here, but i'm not sure it belongs in a thread dedicated to full guides.
it's a thread about the relative value of first level arcane powers and their staying power.

Too bad there is no extensive Barbarian guide.
The one in the OP seems to be a work in progress.

That is freaking awesome. I wish I could favorite it twice.

I have some guides on other sites, if anyone wants. Most aren't finished yet...

Rolling on the Floor Cackling - Witch Handbook (Core/APG/UM/UC/BestiaryI&II)

Zen Archer Monk Handbook (Core/APG/UM/UC/BestiaryI&II) Haven't gotten too far on that one yet.

Some brief guides, not full-out handbooks:

Qinggong Monk Guide / Picking Ki Powers

Rating Rogue Talents (I only touch upon Ninja Tricks from the perspective of a Rogue taking them)

Quick Overview of Horizon Walker Optimization

Just saw this.
