Destroyed Weapons in PFS

A +1 ghost touch greatsword was sundered by a earth elemental (destroyed). I found a old thread that said the 1 PA make whole would not cover this. If that's the case what's the cost to repair the weapon?

I am pretty sure you just have to spend gold and not PA so that you can get the spell cast at the needed level, as PA-bought spells are always cast at the minimum caster level.

Also, was this a sword already owned by a character or something found during a scenario, as the ruling for things found during a scenario but destroyed or lost is that they can still be bought from the chronicle sheet.

Make whole can repair a destroyed magic item, including its magical properties, if the caster's level is twice the CL of the item. edit: A ghost touch weapon is CL 9, so you need an 18th level (!) caster. The cost is 10gp x spell level 2 x caster level 18 = 360gp.

Yeah this was a previously owned weapon. I'm aware that found weapons that get sundered are automatically repaired.

Well . . . Sorta. If the weapon is a straight "+" enhancement to the weapon then yes. If on the other hand some of the bonuses are special abilities then you have to look for the highest CL (either the weapon pluses or the special ability. Ghost touch requires a CL 9 to create the weapon in the first place hence (don't get to use that word enough) it will take an 18th level caster to repair it.

Don't forget that if the weapon is only broken and not destroyed that it only takes repeated castings of the 0 lvl Mending spell. Find a friend that is a Sorcerer/Wizard and there you go for free. :-)
