Applying a Metamagic Feat when casting from a Wand

So, I did searches and only found threads about enchanting a wand with a metamagic feat.

What I want to know, is if my character finds a wand of scorching ray, can I apply my personal empower spell metamagic feat when using this wand? Or are they not able to be enhanced in this way?

No, metamagic feats only apply to spells you cast from your castable spells, not from wands, scrolls, staves or any other source.

I am pretty sure this question has been asked a couple of times in the past week so can everyone please FAQ the OP's post?
