How do you avoid PvP with Greater fiend Totem?

Someone just pointed out the Greater Fiend Totem to me, how does this not affect the players characters during the barbarian's rage?

From what I can see, it does affect the other PCs during the rage.

Seeing as how Greater Fiend mainly targets Good creatures, I don't see any reason to take that power for a PFS character. Ragnar here, is specifically built as a Fiend Totem Barbarian and I have no intention of completing the chain. I just want the gore attack and spikes.
