If you keep that up, you'll go blind.

Perhaps I should define exactly what a negotiation is, so we can all be on the same page as this process goes forward:

Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties, intended to reach an understanding, resolve point of difference, or gain advantage in outcome of dialogue, to produce an agreement upon courses of action, to bargain for individual or collective advantage, to craft outcomes to satisfy various interests of two person/ parties involved in negotiation process. Negotiation is a process where each party involved in negotiating tries to gain an advantage for themselves by the end of the process. Negotiation is intended to aim at compromise.

So far I have been trying to negotiate in good faith, but I find the counter offers I am seeing here to be completely unacceptable. I am afraid that we may soon reach an impasse...

I have yet to make a counter offer.

If you do not counter with an offer, was there ever an offer on the counter?

Not really, since his offer was counter to my needs.

Why are the offers on the counter? Shouldn't we be using a table for this?

Maybe we should just table the issue for now and come back to it later.

I am declaring that the negotiations have reached an impasse. For those that are not familar with that term, a bargaining impasse occurs when the two sides negotiating an agreement are unable to reach an agreement and become deadlocked. An impasse is almost invariably mutually harmful, either as a result of direct action which may be taken such as a strike in employment negotiation or sanctions/military action in international relations, or simply due to the resulting delay in negotiating a mutually beneficial agreement.

This impasse will continue until someone on the other side shows that they are serious about these negotiations and are willing to offer up something more than jokes. Until then...

Parley ~

The Exchange

Parley (pronounced /ˈpɑrlɪ/) is a discussion or conference, especially one between enemies over terms of a truce or other matters. The root of the word parley is parler, which is the French verb "to speak"; specifically the conjugation parlez "you(pl) speak", whether as imperative or indicative.

Interesting. Write it up in a proposal and have it on my desk by close of business tomorrow. I think we can get Showtime or Starz to bite on it for at least 6 episodes, maybe 13. I retain final approval on who plays me in the show.

So far only you is taking this seriously, and offering up a parley. I would seriously consider this as an option, but only if everyone agreed to it. However, it would only be a temporary solution, because my ultimate goal is to have everyone stop posting on this thread. However, progress has been made...

Nope. As unofficially elected head of the Slaadi Party, we're holding out for a full Paizo shutdown... say, Saturday-ish.

Negotiation is futile, not everything can be negotiated.

Everything is however arguable.

While familiar with Ambrosia SALAD, Ambrosia SLAAD was a concept that could not be ignored, especially if conferring the qualities of chaos through the sort of temptation that would naturally accompany Ambrosia, etc.

Now that the concept of mechanics for Ambrosia Slaad are in place, I have to figure out whether it is a coincidental evolution, or if actual ambrosia is an extract or derivation of Ambrosia slaad - perhaps such could be an ingredient in actual ambrosia, or serve as a substitute if one doesn't mind risking the potential side effect. In Vudra type areas, would one study an Ambrosia Slaad to learn how to create Amrita?

The possibilities are...well, not endless, but delightful.

I did say unofficial. Also, if I call for a vote after nominating myself and I'm the only one around, 50% of the time I will vote for me.

Methinks you ascribe to me a greater depth than is present. :)

I was briefly available in frozen concentrate form during the '50s, but was banned for excessive levels of snark and Red Dye #2. Thankfully, I am once again the official drink of the ISS and shuttle crews.

Well yes, but I've a reputation/motivation as a purveyor of wrongness and oh-so-wrong-deluxe-ness to maintain, and so, there but for the grace of Andrealphus go I, or some such. Plus, even as I bandy the phrase about, the last thing I need to do is go and make over puns involving obviously-female-shaped-and-implied-morphologically slaad and 'depth', nevermind capacity! :D

Tastes great, more baffling? Causes spontaneous merging of two separate viewed events into some new singular form of entertainment? May provoke XTREEM KEWL LETTARZ in the sufficiently weak-willed and/or staid? See your apothecary in the event of an election lasting more than eight days?

Philosoraptor wrote:

Progress has only been made with Crimson Jester, since he suggested a parley, which I have agreed to. However, this is only a temporary solution, and so far no one else has stepped forward. I fear that this impasse may not be able to be resolved, and only a Higher Power can settle this dispute once and for all...

If she got involved, she would just mandate a name change for the company: PaizO.
