What is the range on the Witches hex "Ward"?
which part?
Part 1: applying the Hex: this is at touch range.Part 2: distance between Witch and Hexed Target: Irrelevent, the Hex even says you can be on seperate planes, there is no Max Distance between the Witch and her Ward.
So, It just depends on what you mean by "Range", it's either Touch, or Unlimited.

What is the range on the Witches hex "Ward"?
It affects other creatures but has no listed range. The rules for hexes don't give any general assumption. In theory, it could be either touch or line of sight, but the latter is out of line with other hexes, so I conclude it's touch only.
The designers might have intended it to be 30 feet, like, for instance, the fortune hex, so I'll tag it for FAQ.

What is the range on the Witches hex "Ward"?
I am also curious about this.
Could a Witch "crafting cohort" stay at home all day, now and then grumbling because his or her master is in combat again and momentarily interrupting the magic item crafting by needing to replace Ward every six seconds?

I think the implication is for touch or short range to place the hex....

A witch can use this hex to place a protective ward over one creature.Emphasis mine....
But which is it? Touch or short range? Most hexes are either touch or 30 foot range, so it would make sense for this to be one or the other to put on someone, even if it continues to affect them once they move away. But the book doesn't clarify which. For something like PFS, where RAW rules, this is an important distinction.
