Well, no one wants to journey in time to Atlantis, or play an Urban Arcana game. But lets try Dragonlance.

What You'll Need

* A copy of the Dragonlance Campaign Setting (3.5) I have said setting in print as well as pdf.

* A copy of Pathfinder RPG (1e)

* A willingness to roll those dice. 4d6, six times, discard lowest die, arrange to taste.

* Create an original dragonlance character: Races allowed -- humans, elves, dwarves, half-elves, gnomes, kender, Centaurs, draconians (ARG will be used to create Sivaks and Auraks), Irda, ogre, and minotaur.

* PF1 Classes allowed: Core Rulebook or APG only. If you want to play a DL-based class (like a Knight of Solamnia or Wizard of High Sorcery), refer to Prestige Classes in the DLCS.

* 5th level characters please. This allows players of Wizards of High Sorcery to have at least 1 level in Wizard of High Sorcery (and have passed their Test). And the Knight of Solamnia to have passed his Test.

What Time Period
Age of Despair, War of the Lance.

Remember, Dragonlance is a Fantasy Romance. Alignment plays a very big part in a Dragonlance campaign, so choose your alignments with great care. Game play will start after the players have been chosen. We will start at the Tavern of the Last Home.

You have my attention and interest :)

I'll take a gander at my own copy of the campaign setting for inspiration...

Okay, cool!

When you say Core and AGP only classes, you mean also options out of these won't be able? Or can we use feats, archetypes, etc from other books?

You can use feats, archetypes, spells from other books.

Wow, a Dragonlance campaign, that will take me back to my childhood. The Meetings Sextet was one of my earliest forays into fantasy literature. I will definitely need to do some research to freshen my memories.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 3) = 13 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 1) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 6) = 17 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 4) = 19 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 1) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 4) = 15 = 13

Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories, Starfinder Accessories, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber

4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 2) = 12 11
4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 6) = 13 12
4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 6) = 15 14
4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 5) = 9 8
4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 1) = 7 6
4d6: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 4) = 19 16

An 8 and a 6 - I'm thinking its time for SAD.

This takes me back to the AD&D module series - it was an amazing revelation of what could be done at the time.

4d6 - 3 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 4) - 3 = 13
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 6) - 2 = 12
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 6) - 3 = 16
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 6) - 2 = 18
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 6) - 1 = 13
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 4) - 4 = 13

I'm gonna play an Ogre (using the stats from the ARG) Cleric of Kiri-Jolith.

How are we handling HP?

I assume we're using character wealth by level?

Also, are we using traits?

Finally, what are you thoughts on reflavoring deity specific things to the Kyrnn deities? I'm thinking about taking Disciple of the sword, but it requires Iomedae as a deity.

EDIT: Okay, Rolling HP:

1d8 ⇒ 1
1d8 ⇒ 1
1d8 ⇒ 6
1d8 ⇒ 3

Disciple of the Sword would be Kiri-Jolith.

Hp, full 1st level, roll for subsequential levels.

Yes, two traits, per normal.

Okay, here is Vrog's cleric of Kiri-Jolith. I'm still working on his backstory, but the TL:DR is that he was found as an infant and raised by a monastery of Kiri-Jolith. Not sure why he's at the starting area, however.

I would love to play in the War of the Lance.

What elven nationalities are available?

The Qualinesti is your typical Pathfinder elf. The Silvanesti and Kagonesti need to be rebuilt using the ARG. The Dimmernesti and Dargonesti similarly need to be rebuilt. Aside from that, most of the adventures happen on land, so you can choose between the Qualinesti, Silvanesti, and Kagonesti elves.

Then there are half-elves.

I love the elves of Krynn. Would this allow clerics or not yet? If not I would like to play a wizard.

Well, no one has postulated a wizard yet. And the group has a cleric of Kiri-Jolith.

Who's rolling some dice?

I am.

4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 4) = 10 8
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 1) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 6) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 2) = 10 8
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 1) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 2) = 11 10

Wow, that's... amazingly bad. A net modifier of -1. Point buy, that's a zero. The dice, they're trying to tell me something.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 6) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 3) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 6) = 9
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 1) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 3) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 5) = 20

So it looks like 13, 10, 8, 11, 11, 16. lol

That's a good spread.

lol

We are starting at first level correct? How would you do the Test of High Sorcery.

We are starting at 5th level, after the Test.

I'm moving ahead with my garbage stat rolls and taking it as a sign for making a totally not Raistlin Red Wizard.

I was looking at playing the wizard.

There is room for two wizards.

Will you be doing the WOHS Prestige class?

yea.

From Towers of High Sorcery (which was the updated PRC) or from the DLCS?

I happen to have Towers of High Sorcery on pdf. What page is the Wizard of High Sorcery on? I may have missed it.

It is right after they go into the races and their approach to High Sorcery. Chapter 2 I think.

On pages 22 through 25?

I would have to check. They got rid of the requirement that you had to be a specialist wizard in a school favored by your Order in Age of Mortals and it was reprinted in Orders of High Sorcery (my favorite book).

Has there been a decision as to which time period we will be playing in>?

From the OP:

Quote:

Rollin'

4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 3) = 10 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6, 4) = 15 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 2) = 17 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 4) = 18 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 1) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 5) = 16 = 15

17 point buy.

Can't resist Minotaur...use the stats from DLCS?

Yes, you can.

I am going to be using Herolab to make my character but there are no DL PRCs on it. Is there another software you would recommend?

No, not really.

How soon or after the Heroes of the Lance have set out to Xax Tsaroth is this?

Actually, I was going to have you play heroes of the Lance. But since my copy of Dragonlance Classics is in storage . . . I would not have you be the heroes of the lance.

:) or :( as the case may be.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 3) = 13-2=11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6, 1) = 17-1=16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 5) = 10-1=9
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 1) = 17-1=16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 6) = 16-1=15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 6) = 19-4=15

No one mentioned a kender. Sign me up. Your welcome.

I have more than one knight of solamnia in my 2nd ed. days that lost their knighthood due to kender shenanigans.

Well. There you go.

Bad kender, lol.
