Hello. I played in my first Pathfinder game last night in Olympia, WA. Though I have been a member of the Pathfinder Society for a long time ( I am member number 9887), I never got around to reading the book, or playing a game. My usual gaming friends moved on to 4e when it was released, and I went with them. Not to start a flame war, 4e was never my cup of tea.
I started DMing the kids table for 4e encounters last fall ( and will continue to fun the kids table, I can't walk away form that group), and one of the DMs is also a Path Finder Society organizer in Olympia. She talked PF up, and so I watched a few sessions last month. Watching the gaming, and the fun being had by everyone at the table took me back to when I was having fun with D&D..and it has been I long time.
To rap up, I feel like I am returning to the game that I love, even though last night was my first time playing PF. I want to thank the Oly PF society for their friendly and welcoming nature.

It's great to hear stories like these. As a founder and former player in the Oly group, I'm really really happy to see how much they've flourished. Angela, the current coordinator there, is a great leader and organizer, and I don't think I've met many people who love the game and the Society as much as she does, so you're definitely in good hands.
