Have I mentioned that everybody needs a hug? I think everybody needs a hug.

Spoiler:
Or BTTH, if you can get it.

*hugs PMG*

Fight the good fight!

Scarab Sages

I doubt I'm getting either anytime soon. Sad zombie is sad.

Scarab Sages

On the other hand, GO SAINTS!!!

You need some new cologne. That Axe Cadaverine spray is a little strong yo

And, on a completely different hand, at my FLC/GS yesterday I picked up Volume 1 of a multiparty graphic novel being masterminded by Brian Froud. It gives a sort of creation/origin story for the Dark Crystal. Did you know that Aughra was a plant creature, kinda like Swamp Thing.

Or my kid needs to stop getting sick and making his mommy cranky.

Scarab Sages

On a third had that I found lying around, methinks it's time for a haircut today.

Nice! A guardian of the green as it were. I'll have to look for that, when that movie came out me and a friend must have gone to see it a dozen times. In the theater. That still holds the record for multiple movie watchings (and likely will forever- I really don't see myself ever paying for a dozen trips to the movies again for one movie, especially when even a matinee costs $7)

I'm so going to use that for one of our NPCs.

Yeah, I like quiches, but it's still funny.

Also, "Surfin' Bird" is awesome!

All caught up on my threads, I think.

My once-every-two-months game's today, better go refresh my memory and see what a 9th-level paladin gets.

Puffin's head is still under his wing this morning. He'll be along after noon or so, I'm sure.

Does anybody use Obsidian Portal for their campaign repository? Do you like it? I've signed up for their no-pay membership, but the payfer looks a lot sweeter. It can keep maps and such. BUT, I don't see that it can hold documents. So.... is it worth it?

The Exchange

Tordek uses it for our RotR campaign. It works well, and I think it has even more potential than what we use it for.

I use Yahoo groups, which has many of the Portal features for free, BUT is unable to organize things as well as the Wiki feature of Obsidian Portal. I guess that could take the place of a document repository. We do use spreadsheets a LOT for treasure reconciliation. Can Portal do that?

Scarab Sages

Mrgh.

Scarab Sages

Poor Charlie. Teething, goopy eyes, and a stuffy nose.

Poor mommy and daddy as well.

So, right now I'm holding him while he naps.

Mmmmm....

It has some kind of spreadsheet functionality. Tordek has a sheet for our XP. (Don't know if you'll be able to see that, not being part of the group.

I can, thank you! So Wikis can have little embedded sheets, eh? Coool.

I'm toying with the idea of being a pay member when I start my campaign later this year. But being only on the 'player' end, I haven't seen everything it can do.

Works very well from what I have seen though.

I just learned a rather hard lesson. Save your character sheet before you upload a character portrait. There's an hour of my life gone.

Aargh!

So, two games ago, I killed one of the characters. I still use the rule that if your character dies, you can bring in a new character at a lower level. Anyway, I'd been poking around here and it turns out that I didn't run one of the rules correctly (surprise, surprise!) and had confused ability damage with ability drain, so the character might still be alive!

Anyway, told the player her beloved Elzbeth might still be breathing, and not only had she already thrown away her character sheet, she had put her well-painted miniature on eBay! No respect for the dead, I tell you!

EDITED

Wow, she got over that character quick!

I know, right?

In her partial defense, there was about a month's holiday hiatus between the two games. But still...my other players have a folder inches thick full of dead character sheets!

I have very rarely wanted to do harm to a person, but I do when when Karen's dad makes her cry because he is too much of an a-hole to talk to her. I think a good swift kick to the nuts might help him grow a pair.

I've been pondering making all casters spontaneous for awhile. Replacing them all with psionic classes is a bit further out there than I think my players would care for.

Use the Unearthed Arcana spell point system. It basically works like power points for spell casters.

They don't have it. The few places here are very much pro 4e with a serious edition war mentality. Funny but the B&N can't keep the pathfinder stuff on the shelves. Yet they don't carry 3pp.

Amazon has it in print, and the rules are available free on the D20PFSRD.
