Some of them are probably nekkid, yeah.

Why NobodysHome hates construction, especially on hot days.

So yesterday afternoon I tried to repair my gate in 88-degree weather. Since it was hot, and I plan on replacing the gate within the next few months anyway, I was just trying to do a quick patch job: Throw a post in some concrete, attach the gate to the post, done.

But of course the previous assembler had attached the gate, a second post, and an overhead support all in one giant assembly. (Yes. The gate was attached to a split 2"x4" to make it diagonal, which was then attached to a "floating" 4"x4" (to make it fit), which was then attached to a "support" 4"x4" that was in reality just sitting on the concrete, held up by being nailed to other boards that weren't based on anything in particular.) Being an idiot, I didn't want to bother disassembling this giant mess and reassembling it, so I tried to manhandle the monstrosity. And of course the moment I took the original rotted post off the rest of the assembly, I learned that the original builder had used (of course) 1/2" bolts to hold the two posts together. So I could either disassemble the entire thing to try to remove the bolts, or I could try to drill holes in the new post the align with the bolts.

I chose the latter, but of course working with a 70-pound unwieldy mess the holes didn't quite line up, and I had to give up and admit I was going to have to disassemble the whole thing.

Shortcuts never work.

So today, I'll just pull off one piece and attach it. Repeat for 4 days. Done. (Or if my gardener shows up he's eager for the work so I'll just let him deal with it.)

OK, a briefing before going to sleep (I have worked third shift two consecutive days and my neighbor is playing to be a carpenter by day)

I have been really busy with work, preparing some RPG sessions and, mainly, spending the little free time I have on improving my art as I am going to be unemployed soon and I will try to get some commissions for some extra income.

That and also promoting myself on Twitter and Deviantart have taken all my time and I cannot checl the boards as often as I did.

I am going unemployed on day 15th this month so I will try to catch up after that.

I will read all the previous posts whenever I can.

It's not typically taken as a no-no to interview at two different locations with the same company a day apart, right? Do I need to inform either? Because there's a job at Grocery Store Chain I want, and multiple locations are hiring for this job. I applied to all of them, and two have called me for an interview, which I've set up with both, and I have informed neither about the other interview.

So here's my take, both as an interviewer and as a Lawful person:

(1) There is no requirement whatsoever that you out-and-out tell them that you are interviewing elsewhere. In fact, it's considered bad form to ask such a question (if you're doing the interviewing). So just watch what you say and don't mention that you have other interviews unless you're planning on using those other interviews as leverage. (We have candidates pull that all the time: "Well, I'm interviewing at another place next Tuesday, so if I haven't heard back from you before then I'm going to go ahead and assume I'm free.")
It doesn't bother us at all; it's nice to have an honest candidate. But on the other hand unless they're really good it doesn't motivate us to accelerate our process. Mentioning the other interview is probably not a great idea, so just don't bring it up, and they probably won't, either.

(2) If they explicitly ask, "Do you have interviews in other locations?", your choices are to lie, defer ("I prefer not to answer that"), or tell the truth. Deferring is OK. The truth is OK, though in this particular case I'd worry that they'd collude against you. Lying is Bad. You'll likely get caught, and that'll end both interviews.

So my $0.02 (and then some).
