What!?! That's cool! Must be the Philly museum where they have the Rocky statue, maybe.
That museum is amazing btw. It's up the Ben franklin Blvd which makes it a little separated from the rest of the city and surrounded by parks and a few other museums too.

Never been there. Although I have driven past it on occasion.

Suit yourself. Moar bakunyū pictures for me.

Surely there are plenty of such pictures available without going through facebook?

Seconded. Unless there is some type of "Women of Fawlty 2012-2013" calendar that can only be found on facebook, I stand by my choice.

Good morning FAWLTies!

Cabin in the Woods (despite FHDM's irrational dislike of everything Joss Whedon) is, quite possibly, the greatest horror movie made in DECADES. My roomie & I saw it last night and the ONLY thing that would have made it better would have been a Bruce Campbell cameo.

From what I've seen so far, it seems to be a less "intelligent"(actually no offense/insult meant on this note) version of Cube.

Meh, Whedon...

Nekkid fistbump. And yes, folks, fists are all I'll be bumping with our callous friend, at least while nekkid.

I got KOFXIII through gamefly last night. I can't believe there have been 13 games over almost 20 years. KOF'94 seems like it was just a few years ago. Mai has only grown more beautiful and cheesecakey over the years, and my hero Ralf looks like he's been 'roiding it up in the last few versions, but he still handles the same. I'm quite happy that my beloved Vice has returned in this version, even if I'm not sure if she's alive or dead. Now if only Shermie would return...

Uh, AZ, you do know the town you're living in, right?

Sure, there's that street with the stadiums. And that one running right through the center of the city, north to south - Wide Street. And that big river. And the smaller river. And, oh yeah, the interstates!

Edit: Of course, I've only been living here for about 10 years or so. These things take time.

As opposed to myself, who never actually lived there and only lived in the area for three years...I guess to be fair, I went there for the AAR conference one year since then. So, I guess I lived there for a few days.

Agreed. It's amazing you get a museum that good in between NYC and DC.

The only downside was, every time I drove into Philly with the kid, she'd start

singing:
GEORGE WASH-ING-TON BRIDGE...

Well, Derek's plan to visit the museum had to be cancelled at the last minute, when the facility suffered from a sudden and inexplicable attack by thousands of stray gerbils. Meanwhile, Max's continued efforts to settle in to his new home took a turn for the bizarre when members of the police department, fire department, and several elderly librarians each showed up with "Welcome to the Neighborhood" gift baskets. And across town, Joss Whedon made a surprise visit to the home of a loving fan.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Go Bayern! Knock out those detestable Portuguese (and the quite possibly rather nice Spaniards, Frenchmen, Brazilians, and German) guys.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales

The Boy Who Wanted to be Brave

Once upon a time, there was boy, the son of a peasant farmer, who wanted nothing more than to be a brave warrior. He knew that if he could be brave and daring, the princess would fall desperately in love with him.

One day, he came upon a dusty old bottle in the forest, and when he tried to clean it off, a genie came out and offered him a wish. The boy knew exactly what he wanted, and so said, "Genie, I wish to be a brave knight."

"Done!" said the genie. And so it was.

Mere days later, the kingdom was attacked by a fierce monster, a terrible beast which instilled fear in all the warriors of the land - all except the boy turned brave knight. With his great courage, he challenged the evil beast.

Unfortunately, being a brave knight doesn't exactly make one a very combat-capable knight. The monster easily defeated and devoured the boy-knight, then he moved on to the castle, killing and eating the king, the princess, and a score of other people.

The end.

Hi CJ. How's things? Apart from the boring sales training that is.

Falling asleep shortly after posting. Looking around the city at the damage done from the twister(s).

What time does the blog go up now? I thought it was noon Central, but maybe it's noon Pacific?

I thought it was very well done. One of the few scary movies that didn't rely on cat scares.
