Southern softies! I'll be grabbing my skies and heading over there as soon as I stop pressing the darn snooze-button.

Sleeping nekkid or skiing nekkid?

Happy birthday Mr Grey Wizard.

Naked skiing - that's how rugged we are up in Scandinavia!

And happy birthday Rags!

So we went to IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day. I accepted the for-donation short stack and ordered their Cinnamon French Toast stack. Couldn't finish it, of course.

Then I went home and passed out for four hours.

Silver Crusade

Ugh. Work is kicking my ass the last two weeks. I need a vacation.

Just did the free pancakes with mom. T'was nice to do something with her that didn't end up in an argument or me being exasperated/upset.

Just a few more days and it's you, me, and two ladies hitting the town. What could be better?

Free whiskey, the ladies being nekkid, all Pathfinder materials being given to you for free, having a 1+ million dollars, being content in life, having a job that never kicks your ass...

Thank you all,

Much appreciated! :D

I sit here in my office (At 9pm, having just finished yet another show) Wearing my new DR Who t-shirt, new Dr Who Official Fez & bow tie, and with my sonic screwdriver in my pocket.

It's been a Who-derful day! :)

Sadly tomorrow I must return to 'Normality', any expression of 'uniqueness' is apparently frowned upon in this establishment,...

So I will of course show up wearing my trenchcoat, hat and Tom Baker inspired scarf,... As always,... ;P

Have a good night FAWTL-ies, and mend swiftly BP! :)

tucked

between the elbow and shoulder

raising it above my head or at shoulder level.

It's fine now. Like I said no bruising or discoloration. I think its a sprain.

Damn, it's almost 5:00... At last I didn't spend the night playing TOR. Instead I finished reading a book.

*sight* time to catch some sleep now and get up around 12:00 and run pay important bill.

I am beginning to think that middle schoolers don't know how to handle having a geeky sub.

"Can we play on the computers?"
"Nope, you need to be doing this instead."
"The sub the other day let us."
"Good for the sub the other day."
"Okay, can we listen to Pandora?"
"Nope."
"The other sub let us, and we thought he was cool."
"That's nice."
"We'd think you were cool."
"Honey, I'm trying to decide what spells to give an imaginary wizard so I can roll dice and pretend I'm trying to kill my friends. I don't think cool applies here."

Tucked is good. If you have pain, ice and a NSAID is best. Keep an eye on it, though. I think I tore my rotator cuff that same way. It didn't hurt much at first, but I never could raise it above my head properly after that, so dressing and undressing was tough. Ended up having repair surgery.

Happy birthday, Rags!

I also like the way you made your students sound a bit like my boss at the day job. "We'd think you'd like you were able to do this..."

It was the book Bonjour lassitude, I think, that made the claim that to have a good life on a modern job, make sure you are on good terms with the subs/interns/temps, because they are the only ones actually doing work...

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! It's looking to be a beautiful day (if a bit cold) weather-wise here in Philthadelphia.

Scarab Sages

We did have snow last night, but it wasn't much at all. Didn't even cover the grass.

Damn! Just realized the case on my iPhone is busted.

I suppose you could come visit as well. Even though you're always trying to inflict massive amounts of snow on me.

Okay, this will either result in more snow or puppies. You like puppies, right?

Dammit. FHDM, watch were you are aiming that thing! I prefered yesterday weather. No snow and almost dry. Today is some fresh snow and wet... Cold and wet is bad combination.

Hey now! Watch it with that "southern softies" talk. You may be used to living in a frozen wasteland, but this southerner lived with summers hot enough to cook eggs on the sidewalk. Ain't nothing soft about that.

I'm sorry man, this thing was made in 1984 with questionable Cobra technology..I'm surprised it doesn't run on Betamax tapes.

Not to mention, being from Louisiana, I've got voodoo on my side. Anybody messes with me I sacrifice chicken, make a voodoo doll, and you spend several hours trying to explain to the police why you stripped Nekkid in a public library and tried to have sex with the Dewey Decimal System.

Hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk? I'm unimpressed. We cook four course meals up here, including fried ice cream on the sidewalk. BEAT THAT!!!!

PUPPIES!! I love them!

Of course, my wife doesn't, so you risk her not inconsiderable wrath.

Remember that non-winter we had last year? Yeah, that was when I was trying to make it rain nyan-cat. This thing has like only three settings.

Well, sure, if your boss had the somewhat nasally whinge of a twelve-year-old who realizes that they're, like, not getting their way from the substitute! I mean clearly they have authority since they're here all the time and I'm here for just, like, a day!

It really isn't a good sign just how easily I can slip into a valley speak tone.

But, like, that's what I made this alias for.

Oh please, don't tell me you're another one of those silly northeasteners who actually thinks their summer is worse that a New Orleans summer? Not possible.

Although, with all that concrete, you do have a good heat sink. But that's one big difference right there. You folks enclosed all your rats and gators down under your streets. We let ours run loose and steal small children (the rats, not the gators).

Wait, was that the year when we got something like -15 with a bit of -20 degree Celsius, or was that the year before your tampering with the Dominator?

So that's where all those cats came from that used to live in the old Veteran's Stadium here in Philly.
