The internet is broken? That means we can all do things offline, like have a BeDazzling everything party!
Kingmaker tonight, and me without overly lucky dice.So long as they are not overly loaded with bad luck (for players) as mine are.
My GM die rolls were odd on Saturday. We only did the first fight in Magnimar in the Skinsaw Murders, but I must have confirmed 5 crits and 2 fumbles in just that one fight. That was also the first night we got to use Tim's new fumble and critical decks. Go figure.
I also feel bad for Tim's oldest son who plays the Dwarven fighter/rogue of the team. He has a great build for his character, but he has the worst luck on die rolls. I really want him to have fun as a new player, but what can be done for a run of bad luck? I hope it passes soon.
Naked and pathetic, apparently.

MAN I miss my old (pre-katrina) job. I had so much time invested in that company, and so many days off for each year that I never got to use during the year, that I almost always got to take off the entire month of December! :)

The day someone builds a sustainable VR environment of a fantasy realm and makes it where someone won't die from playing, will be the day a ton of people suddenly disappear from reality.
Sometimes it seems like it's happing a little bit more every day.
No offense to folks on Facebook, but I find it somewhat disturbing when folks have hundreds of "friends" online, but they don't know a single one of thier neighbors. OTOH I have a number of folks online (mostly here) that I consider friends, and I would gladly open my home to them. Go figure.

I make a strong distinction between "Facebook Friends" - people who are about as much your actual friend as people you pass in the halls/street/office on a regular basis and recognize - and actual online friends, who are no different from IRL friends except that you can only contact them through technological means for reasons of distance, location, health, or other factors.
I consider them two very different categories, perhaps with some overlap - like that one guy you work with who's also your buddy off the clock.

not entering this year myself. not sure if I will ever enter again. didn't enjoy last year's contest, although I would gladly hug the victor. the 1k threads are much more my speed and type ofcreativity.
As I said before, the main thing keeping me from competing is that the show opener is a magic item. Unless it's a macguffin or a spell-in-a-can, two things that don't fare well in these kinds of contests, I'm really not all that good with coming up with an idea unless my muse just happens to strike just right. If it had opened with one of the other options - especially creating a monster - I'd be on the front line.

New spells would be kinda cool, and maybe small enough to keep it to about the same sort of size limit. Feats? It's hard to think of something small and granular enough for an opening gambit.
