My bosses do not realize that with a supposedly finite amount of time at work, what I do is a zero-sum game. If you want me to take more calls, I will take more calls. If you want me to stay on top of my emails, I will stay on top of my emails. If you want me to manage my work queue, I will manage it. But I can only be working on one of these at any given time.
Well, a drunk Erik called Soran un-Swedish and someone else a blatte-lover while Kent was filming him, and when people saw the movie he said he didn't remember anything about it because he was drunk, and then - when people asked if he thought what he had said might be considered racist, he said that he remembers that's not what he meant.
Oh wait... that's Swedish politics this week.

Now it is not only foggy but also darky. And I should go to shop buy some bread, something to smear on that bread for today and noodles for tomorrows chicken soup. Or I could stay and survive on potatoes alone.
I just found out that my last month's bad sales numbers at work nearly cost me my precious job.
And here I thought being betrayed by a guy I respected was going to be the only thing depressing me today.

Apologies FAWTLY Brethren. My absence has been due to a multitude of reasons, one of which was a severe bout of depression, accompanied by numerous battles with lunacy at work (some involving the forthcoming extreme military budget cuts which will potentially affect my future and that of my family in possibly very craptastic ways), plus a healthy dose of searching for a potential new daycare for the boy.
Needless to say, I felt it necessary to limit my posting if I could not be my usual cheery self.
I am hopefully exiting said long, dark tunnel, just in time to hit the holiday, end of year travel, madness circus.

I could write emails to one client while talking to another on the phone. Unfortunately, they frown on that sort of thing.
