Dana moves into the building and casts murderous command on the green thug to attack the other thug.

Dc 17 will save.

“That is your enemy!“ she shouts.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Dora’s Spell v. Will 19: 3d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 1, 3) + 7 = 14
Caprice rushes to intercept the thugs as they attempt to surround Khamul. The small halfling moves out from between them, his spear stabbing at the one with the green hand wraps. The warrior only shakes his head and puts a swift side kick into Caprice’s throat as she closes, sending her reeling a bit. He then turns back to Khamul just in time to take a spear to his leg.

The other thug, this one with a rose colored pendant around his neck, comes at Khamul with a fury, but it is clear he is not used to fighting a smaller opponent, as his kicks go just over the halfling’s head.

Green has taken 7 points of damage. Caprice needs to make a DC 15 Fortitude Save or be stunned until the start of the thug’s next turn. Caprice also takes 7 points of bludgeoning damage. Caprice Defense 1 used, Khamul Defense C and D used. All of you are up!

M Halfling Medium (Fiendkeeper) 5

OK, holding off until Caprice goes, as I need to know if she's stunned... @Party - Tactically, I think we're fighting monks of some sort: really acrobatic types with fancy unarmed attacks, a +9 will save and what I think was a stunning fist on Caprice just know...

Ok, spoilers for alternate actions, as I suspect (but don't know) that Caprice just dropped Green like a sack of anvils... I have shown the movement on the map assuming that Green drops.

The wound in his leg seems to slow the thug as he turns to attempt to block the incoming strikes from Caprice. Her magically enhances speed is too much for him and he loses his footing and stumbles sideways into the wall and slumps to the ground.

Eyeing the fallen bandit, the other one takes a deep breath, as if to center himself as Khamul’s spear strikes at him. He seems to move almost as fast as Caprice, his hands easily batting away the weapon.

What Caprice said. Rather than me rolling their Save, you roll against theirs. I rolled it for you, and the result was that it was not strong enough to beat his Save.

The bandit, now more focused, leaps into the air and over Khamul’s head and spear. He then makes a dash around the hole in the hallway floor and yells up the stairs, ”Boys! We got trouble down here!” You hear the pounding of feet from the floor above.

Khamul defense E and F used for escaping AoOs. The party is up!

M Halfling Medium (Fiendkeeper) 5

@ DM Shadowblood moon, 1) Not quite sure why he took 2 AoO's (unless Caprice got to take 1, but I would expect her to hit at +13 counting bless). Khamul can only take 1 AoO per round (no combat reflexes feat), and I would only get 1 from a given action of his (ie 1 from his movement). 2) How big is the hole in the floor - that blue box is about 15X10 (if I have the scale right) which seems large for a hole the crazy undead lady clawed in the floor. Maybe put the actual hole on the map?

Realizing this is going to be a bigger fight, Khamul calls on borrowed holy might, as he follows after the escaping bandit. He takes up a spot on the opposite side of the hole Iesha tore in the floor, with his spear ready for newcomers...

Savage Rifts RotRwT

My understanding is that in order to avoid an opponent taking an AoO on you, you have to use Acrobatics to go above the CMD, which yours is the same as your AC. Since he beat your CMD the first time, no AoO was triggered, so he still had to beat it a second time to avoid triggering the AoO. The hole is barely a few feet wide, but in order to move where he did, he had to go past it. I'll put an image up as soon as I get back to my computer.

@Dora, remember that we roll 3d6 for all resolution rolls, so I'm going to take your 19 as a 17. It still hits, but for future reference.

The bandit by the door tries to close it before the giant ball of flame hits him. It instead catches the door and his hand wraps aflame, just in time for Caprice to come close and stab him in the gut. The flame on the door goes out with a gust of black smoke, just as the fight in him seems to slow. He clutches his stomach and holds his hand up. "I yield."

You can still hear the men upstairs rushing to come down.

Party is up!

M Halfling Medium (Fiendkeeper) 5

@ Shadowbloodmoon, I have put a dashed red circle where flaming sphere is, and an orange box for the hole in the floor. Adjust as you see fit of course...

Using the blunt of her weapon, Caprice tries to knock unconscious the yielding fighter, worried he would turn on them as soon as his fellows arrived.

If the first strike knocked him out, she would stay her hand on the second.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

The thug is not surprised as the hilt of Caprice’s sword hits him in the temple, dropping him almost instantly to the ground. Her proximity to the stairs tells her that his friends are almost there.

I am presuming Dora is focusing on her flaming sphere, so if she posts after this, we can retcon something if needed.

From the top of the stairs, two men start rushing down them, but as soon as they see their comrade lying on the floor, one of them turns and heads back a different direction while the other comes down cautiously, his hands up in a defensive posture, eyeing Caprice and her blade.

One moves, the other goes full defense. Party is up!

Between the Dora’s ball of flame, Khamul’s spear and Caprice’s blade, it seems the thug on the stair would have no chance, but his skills at evasion seem to be on par with your skills at combat. He dodges most of the strikes and blocks those that get through, though not without taking a couple of cuts on the arms as he does so. After weathering the assault, he creates a wicked smile on his face and then begins wailing at Caprice with fists and knees, attempting to wear her down. The other bandit comes down the stairs on the other side, looking for his first target, his hands in a similar defensive posture.

Khamul is correct, Cyan should have been at the spiral steps. Fixed that.
@Dora. Just to clarify, you are attacking the one in green who is currently bleeding out against the wall, correct? Presuming that is the case, it will set him on fire and kill him.

Khamul and Caprice continue to accost the warrior on the stairs, his hands moving faster than lightning to keep their weapons at bay. When he gets a chance, he lashes out at Caprice with a kick to her mid-section.

The red bandaged thug is fast enough to stop hand to hand weapons from hitting him, but a tiny rock flying at extreme speeds is too much and he is nicked by it directly in the forehead, eliciting a thin line of blood. The surprise on his face is evident.

Caprice Defense for Second Strike: 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) + 9 = 17

Caprice manages to get through the fighting bandit’s defense just enough to cut a gash across his leg. He grimaces with the pain and then launches another assault at the daring woman, but even in her weakened state, her defenses hold out and he seems to be slowing as well.

The one with the cyan earring keeps after Dora, the flames on his back seeming to drive him forward. Dora ducks under one fist, but the other catches her in the ribs.

Dora Defense x2: 3d6 + 8 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) + 8 = 133d6 + 8 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) + 8 = 17
Dora takes another 7 points of damage. Both Cyan and Red have taken 16 points each. You guys are up!

Caprice does her best to continue the fight. If Khamul fells the foe she'll go to fight the other, otherwise stand her ground.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Another rock from Khamul momentarily stuns the combatant on the stairs. This is just enough of a distraction that allows Caprice to impale him where he stands. The look of shock on his face is now permanently etched as he dies.

I moved Caprice to stand next to Dora, who is still up!

Pssst, hey Dora! A 5' step to give me a unobstructed LOS to shoot through would appreciated...

Seeing that he is now outnumbered and his allies are down or dead, the last of the bandits decides discretion is, well, discretion, and he puts some distance between himself and all of you.

Withdraw. You are all up, he is on his way out the door.

Khamul moves to the edge of the hole Iesha tore in the floor, and whips another sling bullet after the fleeing thug...

Move action - move to edge of hole (10-15')
free action - load sling (warslinger racial)
Standard action - attack light blue

Not sure if he has cover from the taxidermy, so ShadowbloodMoon's call. If yes, adjust the to hit roll above... @Idun, you should be able to reach him with charge this round, but I wouldn't bother pursuing him further.

Female Human (Ulfen) HP 28/33 | AC +9 | T +4 | F +5 | CMD +10 | F +4 | R +9 | W +5 | Init +4 | Per +8 | Spell Points 1d6/1d6 | Arrows 1d12 | Martial Focus -> Yes

Presuming no Difficult Terrain, here goes the charge!: 3d6 + 11 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4, 5) + 11 + 1 + 2 = 26
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Caprice'll try and chase down the last foe.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

I am going to say that the big taxidermy and the door frame provide some cover, but it still hits him. I’m going to allow Caprice to reach him despite the statue and besides, the door is wide open.

As the thug attempts to flee, a rock goes sailing towards his back. He stumbles a bit as it strikes, slowing him just enough for Caprice to catch up to him. Her blade finds its mark through him and comes out the other side, piercing his heart. He shudders a moment and then stops, sliding off of her gored blade.

Looking around for any further threats and seeing none, you allow yourself a moment of respite, breathing hard and holding sore spots. Now to decide what to do next.

Khamul stops dead and listens, trying to hear if anyone else is moving around in the house:

Perception: 3d6 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) + 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 32
5 ranks +3 trained+1 Trait+2 spirit bonus+4 for detect danger

Then he casts Message to allow the 3 of us to communicate quietly, "This cantrip will let us talk without risking alerting them. You can hear me whisper and you can whisper back to me. Dora, do what you can to patch you and Caprice; I'm fine."

I'm not quite sure who's down how much, but Idun took a bit of a beating, and I thought Dora got tagged at least once.

Assuming I don't hear company coming:

First Khamul makes sure the one Idun knocked unconscious isn't dying, using his psychic abilities (casts Stabilize), and then he starts
searching the bodies (using his detect magic cantrip while doing so).
Perception: 3d6 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) + 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 = 28
5 ranks +3 trained+1 Trait+2 spirit bonus
As he works, he whispers "If Idun's tracking was right, there's a bunch more of these dipsticks... Do we want to try and take them? If all four of those guys had shown up at once, I'm not sure we could have taken them..."

Just recounted, and I am at 12/33 unless I missed some healing from Dora.

Caprice takes a moment to refocus herself before answering. Regen Martial Focus.

"I think they may have heard the shouting and fighting." Caprice does not seem convinced, but nonetheless uses the spell.

Dora breathes heavily. She heals herself first with her spells and then the team.

clw to herself 2 x 1st level spells: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (5, 3) + 2 = 10

clw to Khamul 2 x 1st level spells: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 2 = 10

clw to Caprice 2 x 1st level spells: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (8, 5) + 2 = 15

No more 1st level spells.

M Halfling Medium (Fiendkeeper) 5

@Dora, First, you don't need to heal Khamul, he didn't get hit that fight, Second, you are 5th level, your CLW spells heal 1d8+5 (the caster level being your own) apiece. Third, you have a feat, planar infusion, which would make the spells cast on you heal an extra +5 HP.
With all that, I think you can save 3 1st level slot (2 cast on Khamul and 1 on yourself). Using the rolls above, Khamul heals 0 (no spells). Taking the first one you cast on yourself (d8=>5), you will heal for 15. The two cast on Caprice (2d8 => (8+5) = 13 ) will heal her for 23...

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Thanks for clearing that up for Dora. We don’t want you to burn through all of your resources yet. Yes, she only got hit once. Caprice took the brunt of the damage.

Making sure the one thug is still breathing, Khamul sets to perking up his halfling ears for any more of them. If anything, they are not upstairs, as he hears no creaking floorboards or thuds of footsteps on stairs. That leaves one place they could be.

Hurrying to find what he can in the pockets of the downed ones robes, Khamul finds many small trinkets and knick knacks more than likely taken from the manor. At a quick guess, they could be sold for at least five hundred gold sails altogether in Sandpoint. That does not include all the things they dropped prior to the fight. In one set of robes, those that had been burned by Dora’s flame, Khamul also finds the charred remains of a letter. He can barely make out the words, but they seem to be instructions and there is an image drawn on it as well. It looks very similar to the mass of mold you saw in the basement before.

Where to?

“Alright, everyone, let's take a moment to catch our breath!“ Dora says,

“We did well back there, but we can't let our guard down just yet. Khamul, excellent job on your quick thinking and sharp ears. It seems the rest of the intruders may have retreated to the basement, where that mold-like substance is!“

"Idun, tie up the one you knocked unconscious, just in case he wakes up. Then drag him outside - I'd like to ask him questions, and I suspect unconscious people in this house don't wake up alive. Then let's head downstairs..."

While Idun's doing that, Khamul takes a quick, cautious, peek at the stuff they dropped - wondering if the bandits have been silly enough to have messed with mold-mass downstairs (like say trying to carry it out in pieces...).

and once we've taken care of the housekeeping, down the basement stairs (the pink arrow)
