Glad to hear you made it back to NY safely CH.
Hey, hang in there Shiny.

You're on night shift right BluePigeon? I think that would be tough in terms of getting the wake / sleep / work / leisure balance right.
I have young kids ... so I also wish I could sleep more.
Anybody else find the color WWII footage on Smithsonian Channel mesmerizing?

Name dropping time!
One of the classes I'm taking involves bringing in three guest professors, usually university alumni, to teach a short course for five weeks each. Today, I walked into class and found out that the latest guest professor is STEVE ELLIS. A.K.A. the Libris Mortis guy.
Later on, I was hanging out playing Magic with my good friend J. Edwin Stevens, and he asked me if I wanted to go out for dinner with a friend of his who was in town. I said yes, and as we walked into the diner, I discovered that the friend in question was... Steve Ellis.
So yeah. Dinner with Steve Ellis and J. Edwin Stevens, plus class with Steve Ellis for five weeks. Things have gotten a little better.
Wish we could get the Smithsonian channel. I have requested it from Cox for well over a year, since the channel first came out.
1st day for new hire training. Sigh at least it is a job. On the plus side my unemployment has come in. Finally. So I can pay a few bills and be promptly broke again.

Excellent!
Didn't recognise the name, but I know some of Steve Ellis' art from his website. That picture of Lord Soth (was it for a Dragon mag cover?) is pure awesome, one of my favourite illustrations of the death knight.

Cooper's Old Time BBQ Pit.
** spoiler omitted **
There's one of those in Ft Worth between the Stockyards and Billy Bob's. I LOVE COOPER'S! Since you will only be a couple hours away now, I expect you will be making the trip to OwlCon next year.
Note how that wasn't a question.
;-) I was really hoping the job would mean I would get to go to NTXRPGCON for the first time. And...it's during summer school. :/
Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday.
Eric Stoltz has a surprisingly decent singing voice.
I really love music from the 80s. Awesome stuff.
Why? Oh why must my fragile psyche torment me so? Must revise!!!
Riddles suck. Especially writing them.
Speaking of suckage, the boy woke up around 0230, and was fussy for about an hour. Pretty sure he's teething again.
Stupid a+%!@#~! Going slow in the passing lane, then finally getting out of it right in front of us.
F~%*ing douchebag.
Of course, this is one of the things that bugs me about the wife's driving - she let this douche get in front of us, and is too timid of a driver to try and pass him.

Why does she yell? Doesn't she know how sensitive I am?
At least there's no day baseball game today.

Howdy Aeglos how are things in Germany?
Rain!
At least the fridge is well stocked, so I won't have to stick so much as a nose out until it's time for work.

- local residents' registration office
- passport office
- vehicle registration office
- changing trustee savings bank from one local branch to another

What is this "administration tour"?

Americans like to put that stuff off as long as possible - as in, years. My identification is about three addresses old...
I really do hate changing the shower curtain liner. There isn't space for a step stool outside the tub and inside the tub wouldn't be safe, so I either end up balancing precariously on the edge of the bathtub or standing on tippy toes so I can just barely reach. The trouble with being short.
Hope you are all having a good day. I'm just trying to get some stuff done around the house in between sneezing fits.
