Naked party nostalgia! The best kind!

Ah time, thou soft-footed thief! Thou has stolen my liveliness and made my youth into a retrospective on VH1

Well, I may not be the Kegmeister of UMass/Amhest anymore, but middle age does have perks

I have cash, and my student loans are paid off

I have a house to store my s%#% in

Not much of a blitz, but I gotta go wash off the blahs and go have some brekky. Peace out gangsta biotches!

Breakfast, a bit of shopping and then some gardening I think.
I need to get the Spring cleanup started. My yard looks kinda chewed up, especially the stuffy killing field in the dog yard.

My poor wife has to go in and continue cleaning up Beermageddon*

*spoilered for the faint at heart:

Spoiler:
Her store seels beer and wine. Last night, right before she wound up a double shift a wall-to-ceiling shelving unit full of alcohol crumpled, spilling a tidal wave of Pabst blue Ribbon, Harpoon Ale, Budweiser, et al about six feet deep in their mini cooler. Needless to say, she was not amused.

The Exchange

Ouch. :/

Well... best of luck to her on that.

O.o

Scarab Sages

OMG! Tell me they saved the beer! PLEASE TELL ME THEY SAVED THE BEER!!!!

Scarab Sages

My plans for today are rather fluid. Cleaners. Grocery store.

Maybe hit my FLGS. If I do that I'll probably bring the wife and kid with me and we'll stop somewhere for lunch.

Later tonight, the plan is dinner at the Flying Pig with my buddies, then Serpent's Skull. Woot!!!

The Exchange

Dear FAWTL friends, remember this Saint Patrick's Day if you're going to drink, then drink NON-GREEN BEER!!!

My computer was running slow as f!%$;

I got spybot search and destroy for the free, and it found stuff, got rid of it, and like my computer is totally fast now.

I'm gonna donate to them dudez.

I wonder how many years it will take before they shorten the name of the day? I mean it is already St. Patty's.... soon it like St. Valentines will just be Patty's day... and people will wonder why the old man who looks like a green Santa Claus has a girls name.

bob ross, the joy of painting is on.
I love that show!
and i love that it is the only foreign language programm not dubed or subtitled on german tv

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!

Although he'd most likely try and drive me out of Ireland, I always have had a soft spot for my (former) patron saint. Slainte you old Briton ex-slave! Thanks to you the Irish got religion just in time to save the intellectual inheritance of the Roman Empire! ERIN GO BRAUGH!

And now, some homegrown drinking and brawling music

here is some german punk-irish-folk stuff (very popular in the 90's):

Fiddler's Green: the night pad murphy died

Waxies: sally McLeanne

Paddy goes to Holyhead: Great song of whiskey

I'm back in Syracuse. It's St. Patrick's Day. Almost all of the students are still out of town on Spring Break.

OH MY GOD QUIET. This is a good thing.

But cheap. And if you are a convenience store, cheap is what sells.

I have donned my 94 Dubliners Tour Sweater and in 10 minutes a friend will pic me up for Pub Evening

Years back, my partner worked at a music store in a strip mall next to a liquor store. One night, the shelves on a wall of red wine they had (which was the shared wall with the music store on the other side) gave out, smashing thousands of bottles on the floor. It seeped through and his entire percussion department had red-stained floors and smelled like alcohol. What a mess - and one hell of an insurance claim.

Silver Crusade

Hi all. What did I miss?

Cautious drunks on the highway (at seven a.m. for f+@@'s sake), puddles of vomit, and a sea of people whose color definitely isn't green.

Meh. I will be weaing my green on the inside of my lungs today!

Took the kids to the St. Patrick's Day festival in town today, it had half the family activities they advertised would be there. That was suck. >:/

But they did have a mechanical bull, which Solnes rode. Twice. That was worth the drive. =D

Bah. St Paddy's day and I'm not in the same building as my bottle of Bushmills. Pathetic.

The Exchange

Oh, and after the kids got their faces painted, Arden got a butterfly inspired design, Riley got a tiger face, Solnes got her face painted with a sweeping shamrock/fairy dust on her left side cheek.... turned out to be very sexy.

Yes I am very domesticated... I blame the family life. :P

The Exchange

I reckon that after I get the kids to bed tonight I will enjoy my annual "at home St. Patty's Day tradition" both Boondock Saints Movies and a six pack of Harp. Beats going out for green puking amateur night IMO.

Some of us don't even have that as an excuse.

(Mind you, can't see why someone who's grown up in Atheist/Lutheran Sweden should celebrate St. Patrick, anyway.)

For the same reason 98% of Americans do. To get s~&* faced and act like douche-bags in public while blaming it on the Irish.

Uhh..what is sweat tea?

Oh you poor Yankee. :P

Sweet tea is sweetened Iced tea. But you have to add the sugar during the brewing phase, not after when its already cold.

Oh no! I do enjoy Sweet Tea regularly, Sharoth said you were having SWEAT tea. One of my players in my Kingmaker game and my Darklight Sisterhood game is from the south and still visits her LARGE family regularly, she has the family recipe down pat. We rely upon her for both sweetened and unsweetened Ashan-Tea(which is what we call it) at games.

Now you poor southerners and your lack of real pizza and chinese food....And to any SF based Fawlties- our chinese people are superior to yours!!!!!!!

Yeah, but your Mexican, Thai, Indian and Vietnamese suck.

Edit: and Barbecue, soul food, and a bunch of other stuff.

He's forgetting that half the population down here is transplants from up north, so anything you can bet up there we southerners have in abundance, and then some.

Sorry, but South=Win when it comes to food. ;)
