My condolences Sharoth. It is always hard to lose a close family member like that. Positive waves to both you and Karen.

I should have had fried chicken last night. I went to this quirky diner that has delicious fried chicken, but I was feeling health conscious and also said to myself, "I always get the fried chicken; I should get something different."

Famous last words. I should always get the fried chicken.

The Exchange

Mmmmmmm, fried chicken. O.o

To bad I promised the kids they could have "Daddy's world famous weenie beenies" tonight. :/

We played Arkham Horror last night..... I only went insane twice and we defeated the great old one.

So your currently enchanted Paladin is still standing in front of the evil ancient diabolic dragon that has been feeble minded to the point it is acting on animal instinct.

So sorry for Karen's and her family's loss, ~~~~Sharoth~~~~. I also +1 Urizen's Hyundai Elantra recommendation, and I've heard really good things (reliability, crash ratings) about Kia's current Optima sedan and Soul compact.

You might want to check pricing through someplace like TrueCar.com.

---

And get well soon wishes to Lynora, Aberzombie, and Mothy.

The Exchange

Unless you actually need them to honor that warrantee, the you'll regret ever considering a KIA.

Scarab Sages

Mrgh. No new Fringe or Supernatural tonight. Oh well, guess I'll just have to read my finally arrived copy of Distant Worlds. WOOT!!!

Urgh. 1296 messages to scroll through and I hear Skyrim beckoning.

+1 bonus to all who are engaged to marry and hugs to those who've lost a relative or a friend. I meant it.

I need to movie theater.., and a movie too.

Insomnia as a sleeping disorder is not amusing.

I finally picked up Star Wars: The Old republic game for my PC, but wont be able to touch it until Sunday or Monday the soonest.

Damn diabetic ulcer on my ankle is flaring up again. I wonder what it will be like without a right foot.

I'm having steamed chicken and noodles.

Dinner awaits!

Why does "dad's weenie beenies" almost make me want to call the child services? ;)

Awesome Kingmaker this Sunday.

Thanks for your support everyone. It has been appreciated.

Ha!

Was he thinking of me, trying to move downstate, or perhaps Patrick, potentially moving to upstate in the future? Or is it too late to ask because he's up a tree?

All I could think of was the Pace picanti commercials. ;)
those commercials piss me off royally. Texans idea of heat in salsa is laughable, although I must admit the hottest thing I ever ate came from a small town in jersey. I and my friends were literally weeping in capsaicin induced agony -but those were some b&&$&in wings.

Dude, get out of the grocery aisle and actually come to Texas. You realize we have an Indian restaurant here, the owner has one in NY and LA also, and tells me that he likes this location best because he can actually make the food the proper spiciness without scaring off the clientele, right?

We put jalapenos in our milkshakes, man.

I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that. I've got a few diabetic relatives, and there seems to be no end of the complications and additional illness that come from having diabetes. I wish you all the best, and that you can find the ways and means to do whatever it takes to keep your diabetes under control.

Also hoping that any FaWTLys and Paizoians in the path of todays storms here in the U.S. come through it unscathed, or with a minimal of scathing.

Liberty's Edge

Minor rant:

Spoiler:
After receiving the latest envelope of money lent to me by the family, I took it to the grocery store to stock back up on canned ravioli and beer. While I was there, I had an epiphany as to why people don't want to employ me.

In one of the aisles were three young women, about my age or slightly younger, and they were acting like children. Capering about, yelling, cracking dirty jokes in loud voices. I realized: THIS is what people think I'm like, seeing just my job application. I'm a young guy--I'll be 26 this year--and most of the people my age are F*+&ING MORONS. No one here, I'm sure, but certainly in the population at large.

The average twentysomething student has not become an adult yet. Seeing these chicks acting like four-year-olds in public makes the average employer generalize that all people of that age act like that. Which makes me look bad, even though I haven't done f%++ all. What a wonderful world we live in.

Yep. That sucks. Sadly, that is a reason why you are having such a hard time. The few bad apples.

I confess, I don't get the Sims games. Why in the halibut would I want to get off work to go home and play a game where I clean the house, feed the dog, and go to work... I do that stuff in real life.

Yeah, seems kinda redundant, huh? I feel that way about MMO gamers who insist you raid 7 dsys a week to be in their guild. I mean, talk about sucking all the fun out of a game. Do I get a timecard with that job Mr. Guildleader?

Scarab Sages

Amen to that, Solnes lost the weight she did by just regulating when she ate.

That and cutting back on Sodas.

That's why I like my eq2 guild. We raid on Fridays, everything else is optional. And even raids are friendly.

Friendly, nekkid raiding? Now that's scary.
