I am starting to notice the upswing every time Paizo puts out a new hardcover book, and starts a new playtest.

Sadly, I believe it's one of the prices of success and growth.

You do realize this is the SIXTH FAWTL thread, right? So there's like 150,000+ posts already.
Actually, there are more than that. Most of the other FAWTY threads don't go past 50 to 100 posts. I think there are about 8 or 9 other FAWTLY threads PLUS the 6 or 7 FAWLTY threads that made it this far.

True, I was only counting the "Official" threads.

Sorry, AZ. I can't help myself sometimes. I see a dumbass and I feel like Red Forman

Somewhere in 6 I counted up the number of posts for all of the main FaWTL threads.

But a lot of the ones I'm seeing don't even relate to UM.

I would agree with that too, however new main books really give it shot in the arm.

Yes, but when the new book comes out the trolls seem to frequent the site more.

You've also got a lot of contentious political issues in the news these days, especially with the 2012 race gearing up. That might account for more of the upswing.

Not to mention, I think there was a full moon recently....

There was one last night. But I mean really blatant troll stuff. For example one guy was complaining about PrCs.

be the change you wish to see. Bring up topics and create threads that will promote levity. There are at least 8 ways to combat the problem. Actively use at least 4.

I hate dubs with a burning passion. But I might be an anime snob. Also, while my japanese is not fluent, it is...passable...if the vocabulary isn't to specialized...so I don't have to read everything. :)

I'm an anime omnivore. I'll watch it subbed and dubbed.

As a guy who has to depend a lot on lip reading, I loathe dubs with a passion. Nothing I despise more than to watch a foreign film and then someone plays over it with English. It's sacrilegious. I'll simply watch the subtitles and let them speak in their original tongue.

Same issue with the lip reading, but I actually don't mind dubs. But my hearing issue is different than yours, and unless I'm having a flare-up there's not actually anything wrong with my hearing. But for those times when I can't hear well subtitles are teh awesome, so I can sympathize.

I don't speak any Japanese so I can't really understand what's going on in anime without reading the subtitles. I can understand French and Russian well enough to get by without subtitles though. Too bad I'm not really into either French or Russian films. :)

Like TOZ i'm a subbed/dubbed omnivore. I started with dubs where possible, but have grown comfortable with subs over the years. I actually don't even feel like i am missing anything when i watch one subbed these days.

Dub = hysterical.

Sub = snorefest.

Popping in with a ray of sunshine.

One of my sons got a traffic ticket for speeding (right in a zone where it just dropped 15 mph) and no proof of insurance. The officer said the proof he provided didn't look 'legitimate'. Fines, points, expected insurance hit, and court fees. Ugh.

Case was dismissed! The officer didn't have his copy of the violations, so the judge dismissed both. Lucky!

My son said he learned his lesson. I sure hope so.

Two words: Drafting Table. We issue them so people can occasionally stand and work whilst recovering from less severe stuff. Countertops work too.
