In other news: the wife and I are contemplating removing Charlie from his current daycare. The quality of service there has definitely gone down hill.

Scarab Sages

nekkid contemplation?

Are you aware that naked contemplation of wife can lead to even more problems with picking the daycare for Charlie's new brother/sister?

Well I'm drinking so I'm I'm signing off before I reply to a political thread.

Y'all take care!

Good to see you though, BT.

*sigh*

So much problem with visual studio. So little ability to figure out what's wrong with my code. On the bright side my computer very helpfully demonstrated its technical difficulties when I went in for office hours to ask for help. So that should improve my chances of getting an extension if I can't get past the technical difficulties. I'm pretty sure that once I get the program up and running there's not a lot wrong with the code.

And if that wasn't boring enough I can ramble on about organic chemistry for a while. But if you can't ramble about random boring stuff in FaWtL, where can you? :P

I think it's time for some tea. The challenge being finding a clean mug. I may have to break down and do the dishes.

sorry about the day care woes AZ. I hope you guys find something you're happier with without too much trouble.

I finally got around to cleaning out my ipod. There is much less need to skip tracks now. Just some cause well, christmas music. Only in december...and even then only the last couple of weeks. I only have christmas music on my ipod because I went to a lot of trouble to find some that didn't leave me feeling homicidal. (Shall we hang the holly or each other?) (bonus points if you know what film that's from.)

Apparently I'm doing a mini-blitz while I'm waiting for the help library to install.

I think I might put on a dvd while I work. To keep from being driven insane by the evil compiler.

I swear I will never ever ever ever ever take another programming class.

Alright, looks like it's done. Time to go brew some chocolate rooibus tea and get back to work.

O.O

Night everyone.

I probably shouldn't sit in front of computer for almost all night. :/

Good idea. Sadly, I have little choice in the matter.

At least you're not working in one of those shops (at least I hope you're not) that has christmas music going in the store throughout November-December. I'd go stark raving bonkers in that environment.

Also on the good side: I'm going to make me some hot cocoa and sink down in the comfy chair with Queen of Thorns, the cocoa, and maybe, just maybe, a tiny glass of Bushmills.

Also also: Ellen Kushner is working on a new novel in her Riverside world.

Even more also also good news: Craig Levein is currently not involved with showing anyone how to play football.

Oh no, never ever ever. I have a very low tolerance for enforced cheerfulness. And enforced family time. And that god-awful music. If I have to hear that dreadful ditty about the shoes again....gah! ....so instead I have a playlist of medieval holiday music. It sounds better and doesn't leave me feeling that I need to smack the stupid out of somebody. :)

Ta några lektioner. Det är lätt att lära sej. *Bluff check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

I'm not studying at the moment, aside from English so I can get to University...

Yep, so if they can win the game against Hastings (a Battle of Hastings) then a 3rd Round draw beckons....maybe against Leeds or Man U @ home would be amazing.

EDIT: Apologies all FAWTLies, about sport talk. But it's better than politics...

However, *DSX hands out spongy Yorkshire puds & tripe* in apology

Yay! Here's hoping for a fairytale tie™ to bring out the magic of the cup®. :D

*noms Yorkshire pudding*

*yawns*

Why have I actually got up?

*yawns some more*

Two more hours of work today.

I also had some mood swings last evening.

Meh, they're getting a little possessive of him. Probably best if he moves on. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

In other news: I find myself less and less thrilled about my impending trip to Japan. What really bugs me is the pain in the assness of getting there and getting started. That part always sucks.

The getting home part sucks as well, but at least the reward at the end of that part is nice.

Hot chocolate replacing coffee again.

Still at work, one hour left to go now.

Actually, I think that around this time of year I always find myself more and more in the mood of disliking my job and disliking living in the northeast. I suspect it has something to do with the change in weather.

It's a bit worse this year, because I hardly game anymore, haven't brewed in forever, and generally find the stuff I really want to do but don't have time to piling up. Put stress of work and the insanity of the holiday season on top, and it'll be a wonder if I can make it through the new year without cracking like a dropped egg.

Scarab Sages

Then there's the constant barrage of people imploring me to move to Houston......

Scarab Sages

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Oh yeah, almost forgot: the dumbasses who run our building facilities seem to have forgotten to adjust the clock on the heating system to account for the time change over this past weekend. So the heat doesn't comeon until after we're already here.

Scarab Sages

Damn. I'm in a b~$@&y mood this morning.

Time for something a bit more light-hearted...

Getting Charlie ready this morning, he didn't want his Elmo hat. He wanted his Batman hat!

I was so proud.

I feel like I have something stuck down my throat all of a sudden.

Also, I'm starting to get a mood swing again, from content to gloomy.

Scarab Sages

And when we dropped him off at daycare, instead of giving him the usual cheerios or graham cracker, the old lady in charge gave him a munchkin donut - with powdered sugar! Seeing his eyes light up as he reached for it to take a bite did my withered old heart some good.
