Why? You've got me following the BBC live text game summary. PENALTY SHOOT-OUT!

Ah. Seems like a strange mistake to make for someone actually watching the game. They've got one rather obvious difference in appearance, after all.

Good luck on that BP. Here's hoping everything works out good in your transition. better to leave than suffer a job you hate, IMO.

I had always assumed that, if we got to have currency, we'd use something worth real money, like the pound. Also, they look like gold pieces.

Weel, an injunction against soccer would have been close to an injunction against Europeans and South Americans.
but the rule forbids american football,so we bette r be quite and thankful

Wahoo that means I can talk about cricket and proper football - Rugby Union..... Sadly nobody else would talk back to me.....

Ha I did win a bet with the manager of another department that my Rugby League team (still better then soccer but not as good as proper Rugby) the St George Dragons would win against the Sydney City Roosters..... He has to change his precious Roosters wallpapers on his PC to that of the mighty Dragons for a month :-)

Liberty's Edge

Hey all.

I’ve missed the last 250 or so posts, not sure if I’ll have a chance to catch up – forgive me if I’ve missed anything important.

For those who missed it up thread, I abruptly lost my job earlier in the week. Times are going to be tough for a bit – my wife has just started working for three days a week after coming off 18 months maternity leave, so we fortunately have some income, but we pretty much burnt through our savings over the past 18 months so … hopefully I will find something soon. My industry is starting to be pretty badly affected by the financial uncertainty in Europe and elsewhere, but I’m sure something will come up. Circumstances may keep me away from Paizo more than normal though – not sure yet.

Anyway, this post is not meant to air my misery or garner sympathy, it is to express wonderment and heartfelt thanks to this fantastic community. Some far too generous person or persons who chose to stay anonymous have sent me a likewise far too generous gift certificate to help me keep up my AP subscription during this time. I can’t know for certain, but I suspect the person (or persons) is either a FAWTLy and / or in one of my pbp games. If you were behind this, thankyou so much, it is truly fantastic of you.

Cheers,
Luke

Good luck Mothie! I do hope that you find a job sooner than later.

Grrr. Gonna be late to work tonight because router is acting stupid at home. It suddenly lost all the information and went back to network factory settings, or so it seems. Worked with the ppl on the phone for a while and we got the network back up and running again for a sec, but then it disappeared once again. Not sure if it's the router, the computer its attached go or what, but we need our wireless Internet. Hopefully the wife can make heads or tails out of this... We know it isn't the service provider. I really hope we don't have to get another router. The last thing we need is another expense. I still wish I could either kick machines until they start working or sacrifice a smug tech to the damnable thing...

Wow.... The Paizo community kicks arse. That is seriously cool & generous.

Ha and all I was going to do for you was get Mrs 8D to cook you some "Cajun" food to cheer you up :-).

Liberty's Edge

If you haven't heard the news, Monte Cook resigned from Wizards of the Coast.

Will fifth edition be as good as its three, yes, predecessors?

Monte and I,.....we just don't care about the drama. I've decided.

Sorry to hear about that Spanky.

I wonder what and how much input he put into the new edition though.

Well, the Internets are fixed... But we are going to need to replace the router before long. It won't last this year.

Scarab Sages

Hey now BP! Let's keep that kind of stuff away from FAWTL. Don't want to pollute our harmonius vibes.

Scarab Sages

Also, beer kicks ass!

Spanky... That really sucks.

Luke,

I hope you find something soon. If you have to stay away from Paizo.com for a bit to watch over baby moth and family, go for it. We will be here when you return with news of your new job where you are treated with the respect you deserve.
