Happy dance of joy!!!

I came home from school all depressed cause it's hot today and my apartment is like an oven on hot days, only to find the maintenance guys taking down the AC covers. I just got the air conditioning turned on and it's already so much nicer in here. :)

Well, personally, I recommend a bluetooth keyboard. It makes a huge difference in the usability. But beyond that, it's just getting used to a smaller keyboard. Easier for those with small hands. :)

As far as the wifi connection....go to general settings, network, wifi, turn it off and then back on. That usually fixes it for me. I have to do that usually three to five times a day. It just loses the network and fails to notice that it's lost the network. The apple guys swear it's a problem with my network...given it's other issues, they're probably right. It only has that problem with the wifi at school when they're having electrical issues.

Also with iOS 4.1 or 5.0 (I can't remember which), you can slide the keyboard apart that works better when using it like a phone.

Good Lord I'm tired today. I wound up having the day off but had so many errands to run that I find myself wishing I had gone to work.

In hindsight, going to a Sarcasmoholics Anonymous meeting looking for sympathy was probably a bad idea.

The Exchange

Day 1 of 4 possible days of rain. I think I am going to need to get a bigger boat.

The Exchange

Time to pick up the wife from work.

Just to be on the safe side... I'm not actually a boat.

The Exchange

Damn.

I do not have a problem, I can quit anytime I want.

Liberty's Edge

Speaking of food (as ya’ll were ... like two days ago ...) we are really fortunate in Sydney to have lots of places to get really good, really authentic (and some not so authentic) Asian cuisine of various types – Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese (of various stripes), Malay, Vietnamese, Indian, Nepalese, Mongolian, Singaporean ... you name it you can find a place that does it well in Sydney. We have some good European and Middle Eastern places too (Italian, French, Greek, Turkish, Persian, some but not as much Spanish and German). I ... don’t think we do Tex Mex, Cajun, Creole or anything much really from the Americas that well (that I am aware of).

Liberty's Edge

Actually, that’s not entirely true, we do have some good Brazilian restaurants at least.

There was some CRAZY wind in Coppell today. Now in Dallas, there is rain.

How page 900 looms!

Pretty windy here in Killeen too. Some rain spatters just as I got home from the track too.

"Morning" all.

Made up my mind to split this crazy job, now I just have to find my real career...

Oh, boy...

Good luck, psionichamster! I hope it goes well.

A word to the wise, EMS is not a "happy-fuzzy" field. It will change you.

This [REDACTED] says otherwise... ;P

No ROTC scholarship for my daughter. With limited scholarship offers and no financial aid its looking like UofMichigan is out of reach. At least we have a solid back up plan.

Sczarni

Bummer, Emperor7.

Fingers crossed!

There's always Ohio State. A superior choice of education potential.

You're in the Evil Mastermind Society? Cool!

(I'm guessing EMS in this context is Emergency Medical Services? I imagine saying that is a tough gig would be an understatement.)

Good luck on the job change psionichamster.

E7 even though I despise the U of M (I was born Buckeye) I am very sorry that the ROTC scholarship fell through for your daughter. Hope Plan B works out.

Haha!

Amateur Evil Mastermind, professional EMS staff.

I prefer the former, actually.

Believe it or not, the actual day-to-day work is not the hard part, its your coworkers/bosses. Much like any other field, I'd imagine.

E7 said 'back up plan' for a reason. I don't think his mind can wrap around the concept of discussing 'Plan B' with his only daughter.

:)

Depending on what definition of Plan B you are going with, that conversation could range from uncomfortable to just plain wrong.

Spastic Hawk.

Sometimes, I know something is wrong with you guys, and I DON'T want to find out what it is.

If it's being pointed out by the likes of me, it's usually involving a bit of both!
