I was slicing ham preparing to dice it for a quiche (which was delicious) when the block of ham tumbled and the chef's knife cut right through the middle of my ring finger nail. I'm not sure how it's doing. When I took the first bandage off to show people, they said to COVER THAT DAMNED THING UP EW EW EW so I've kept it covered since.

2 projects due Monday for my online front-end web development course. I thought they would be easy. I should not have procrastinated. Sleep, bye-bye.

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

I almost sliced a goodly portion of my right forefinger off when I was foolishly trying to replace the blade on my straight razor- apparently I always cut myself when I shave whether it's drop or disposable straight because Wilkinson's blades are RIDICULOUSLY sharp- too sharp to be used according to some. Only the Japanese company(naturally!) Feather makes sharper blades. I cut myself so deep it was almost Attack on Titan levels of anatomy lesson. I could almost see the tendons when I peeled the flesh back to inspect the wound. My self preservation instinct kicked in as my brain said "Freehold. You shouldn't be able to see this level of your anatomy with the naked eye. Sending platelet teams to the affected area and initiating panic mode so you can put the hunk of flesh back into place and cover it up. Please be careful, as the flesh will be stuck that way permanently. Stand by for adrenaline rush." I bled literally everywhere- it fell out of my finger like sand from a broken hourglass. And I didn't have any first aid kit materials so I had to old school it with rolls of toilet paper changed on a minute by minute, then hour by hour, the day by day basis as my body went through phases of self-repair protocols. It was FASCINATING. And now I have a permanent scar! Chicks dig scars.

Look at my scar everyone. LOOK AT MY SCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dragon Age 2 completed. Again, questioning the odd choice of music during the credits. This time, instead of 30 Seconds To Mars, they got Florence and the Machine.

Also, the game should really be titled Dragon Age Catch 22, not Dragon Age 2. It's like playing through a Joe Abercrombie novel...

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO using this when talking to my dragon age friends.

Yesterday, on the dance floor, when I moved to freshly emptied section of space, ending behind two girls, one of them said something like "check this guy" to the other who looked at me and responded with some sort of lack of interest. Am I not sexy enough?

Nonsense. Chicks dig dragons. Almost as much as they dig scars.

Note to self: The most important strategy in Mass Effect 1 is to save often.

I died and it backed me up to where I was an hour and a half earlier.

Oddly I was not as frustrated as I thought I would be, since I had f$%$ed up some quests and got to try them again..

Well, a friend's player was up to quite close dancing with me. She danced in that way with two other guys as well, though, and I don't think she was sober. Including the moment when she insisted on saying "see you" instead of "bye" when I was leaving.

I should probably start to make some sort of list with order for playing games to deal with the stockpile of things that I have waiting to be played through, and things that I would like to play (and have realistic chance of doing so).

At the moment I am hooed at listening to Miracle Of Sound song for Far Cry 4...

Welcome home, my friend...

No money to spare right now, so Dragon Age: Inquisition will have to wait. Currently back to playing Skyrim.

In other news, found a really stupid exploit in Skyrim: once you can get your hands on the Detect Life spell (starts appearing in stores around 50/100 ranks in Alteration), you can get all the way up to 100 ranks in around 20 minutes simply by standing in a crowded town square and casting Detect Life over and over again. For every two to three times you cast the spell, your Alteration skill goes up by one.

I've uninstalled Skyrim and am replaying Fallout 3, mainly because post-apocalypse DC looks a lot like Bradford, ha ha.

If you get tired of spamming Detect Life by rank 50 or so, switch to Telekinesis. It works even faster.

Also, you can spam Soul Trap on corpses. It doesn't do anything, but it counts toward leveling up Conjuration.

Blargh. My head hurts.

On the other note, I dreamed of some entity or force that was corrupting and absorbing reality so when we fought I had to resort to remaking the reality - past, present, and future without that entity. If anyone notices anything missing let me know. It might be the part of the entity or it might be accidentally missing.

Warning: Do not drink Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder on an empty stomach. It's delicious, but damn does it pack a punch. Last time I was this tipsy was when I downed two pints without having eaten in over 18 hours.

If you like horror and reading between the lines for the story - just playing straight through you'll miss most of it, from the reviews I've seen; Tacticslion's link to Game Theory a page back or so will fill you in if you missed some of it - you'll probably enjoy it. The game's plot and background are somewhat deliberately obtuse and open to interpretation, though the sequels have narrowed a few things down.

If you're like me and have an overactive imagination that latches onto scary things, you might be kissing your sleeping hours goodbye for a while. =) But some people enjoy that too, I've been told.

Good luck!

sooo...I SHOULDN'T wear the animatronics outfit when meeting you for the first time? Because they had my size at orthossworstfears.com and they always sell out of my size first, so I went kinda click-happy.

hey, the website is on the Internet, not in New York!

They do deliver to New York at reduced rates, however. Something about a fear/irony discount. Hey, free shipping is free shipping!

Which happened to my dad when he had a column in the Communist Youth's monthly magazine. (It was Super Trouper by ABBA, incidentally.)

You can also soul trap your horse. I usually do that to get conjuration to 100. Detect life becomes REALLY fun when you have enchanting to 100. No cost whatsoever.
