Need serious input. OK, so boss is resigning at the end of the month. It looks like the bldg mgr and I are splitting up her responsibilities. Today I hear (via the IT mgr) that the CFO wants us to have smartphones (which I already do) so that we can check and respond to his emails at night and on the weekends. And likely when we're on vacations.

So, how much should a 7/24 type of job be worth? A 20% bump? Not that I have much of a choice, other than to start looking for a new job.

At least 20%. It might also be time to look elsewhere. My bosses are on the job 24/7 and it can be brutal. Imho it is NOT worth it. Good luck.

Naah, right now they just got the list of scheduled events. Lots of names I don't recognize, and therefore am wary of. At least one name whose crap you couldn't pay me to attend. The rest I'm indifferent to, which means there's probably tons of other stuff I could do.

If I recall correctly, you can start signing up for stuff on Thursday evening at 1700 (I'm guessing Paizo time), which means I'll be in NOLA, probably enroute to my inlaws.

Went to a Whiskey Bar this afternoon as a friend was bartending and I managed to sample a good number of bourbons. Add to it, the chef made some excellent blackened cajun scallops and oysters. Expensive treat, but so worth it.
If you ever have a chance to try any of the Pappy Van Winkle bourbons, jump at it! They range from 15 to 23 years aged, and they're all delicious, but the 15 year is my particular favorite.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll text that over to him to determine whether it is available in stock.

Looked at the schedule of events for PaizoCon - Is it sad that the only two lottery events I really think might be interesting are ones run by James Jacobs and Liz Courts on that first day?
You're really just after Liz's cookies!

Is there any other reason to attend PaizoCon? I mean, I would be there just to socialize, play drop-in games, and eat Liz's cookies.

When I mean socialize, that usually involves drinking your boozes.

E7, go for 30 percent. Weekends are always worth more.

Would it be bad that I want to kill one of my PCs characters through fiat GM powers because it's a gnome? The answer is no because gnomes are the only player race without souls.

Hmmm Scotland won against Australia in the Rugby.... That should not happen Scotland are ranked at 12 in the world and Australia (are 2 or 3 depending on who you talk to).

Well Scotland are my second team so I am kind of happy... I will wear my Scotland jersey to work on Friday (Fridays are casual day)

The US Eagles who are my 3rd team are sitting at 17 in the Rankings. When Rugby was an Olympic sport the US won gold in 1920 and 1924. Everybody likes the US team they have a lot of spirit and determination despite their lack of resources.

My fourth team is anybody who is playing against New Zealand, England or South Africa in that order. New Zealand must be crushed at all costs. :-)

Unrelated topic, other than the coincidence of being naked, but how do you happen to know Bree Olson?

Methinks you misread something ;) The only soulless gnomes were the first ones to cross over and the ones still over in fairyland... all the ones born on the Prime are soul-ified.

Scarab Sages

What? You think that's weird?

Alright, time to head off to work. Back in 45-ish.

No, no. This is just MM's unreasoning hatred of the gnome race showing through. Honestly, I think mayhaps he was tortured by some gnomes in a previous life.

Did you ever get the feeling you were being watched?

That the eye's of strange things were upon you?

Is this one of them? Did baby zombie say his first words?

Oh baby zombie says all kinds of things: mama, dada, hi, outside, sock....

...it's getting him to shut up that can be a problem.

Scarab Sages

And with that, I should get to business. Got a long day ahead of me prepping for some presentations to Washington douchebags tomorrow.

You would like Freehold! The Saga of Wune. Gnomes died out generations ago, slain by the dragons and their allies after the Divine War.

I met her at nycc/ad a few years ago. She was cute, funny, geeky, and incredibly short.

Normally I think the Haterade stuff is kinda silly, but I could get behind this one.

Can we modify it to include people who mix up "a" and "an"?

Sure, works for me.

In other news, traffic was surprisingly cooperative this morning.

I have been debating posting some info on my custom setting in the homebrew section since I've mentioned it several times in various places. However I dread some of the responses and really don't need the feedback as I already have most of the kinks worked out. *shrug*
