Signs and words you are using do not form comprehensive sentences.
I like dogs. I do not like cats. Simple enough?
I was presuming Drejk's post to be the slightly-smart aleck response of a cat lover, facetiously boggled that someone preferred dogs over cats.
Ah. The eternal debate Felix vs canis

It's not about cats versus dogs. I like dogs. I just know that cats are higher form of life than them :P

Wow! Great stuff.

I've been working on Fimbulwinter Come for several years in various incarnations and have looked forward to running it for quite some time.

If I ever actually sit down and write a full adventure with intent to publish, this will be it.

Meh. Cats annoy me. Perhaps it's their habit of puking in hallways when I usually have to get up predawn. Perhaps their habit of eviscerating rodents on my doorstep [Comic Book Guy] Worst. Present. Ever [/Comic Book Guy].

We had three cats 11years back ( my wife had agreed to take two kittens from the same litter before we even met). They had the best life a cat could have (open door policy, abandoned farm next door, lots of vermin in said farm, free food when their hunting went poorly) and they all did fairly well before disappearing into the wild ( or a coyote's gullet). The last one was the only one that left me a corpse to bury, so that's something.

Well, yes, the puking is very not fun. Of course, when I've seen dogs do it, it's infinitely grosser than cat puke, but they do it much less often, it seems, as a way to sort of balance these things out. The occasional sprayer can be a real problem.

Mine are indoor cats, so the closest I get to eviscerated rodents is they will arrange their fuzzy toys around my head on my pillow when I stay home sick.

I prefer cats because they're a little less work (a big deal when you're single and have to do everything yourself), can usually take care of themselves for a day or two if something comes up (again, terribly useful), small enough to cuddle with, big enough to be a substantial pet (mice and rats can be cute, but too small and dumb for me).

I also like that each cat is a total psycho in its own special way.

:)

I turn 42 this Saturday. Another birthday and a step closer to more graying hair and impending senility.

When will it end?!

After the 20th baby bunny head on the doorstep next to a pile of viscera, I was pretty much done. But, you are right Jess, they are much more low maintenance. But, my three dogs are lucky in that someone is in our house at all times. No separation anxiety here.

Happy birthday BP ! Don't feel bad, no matter how old you get I'll always be older than you are!

I love subbing for classes like today. I actually got to teach - my content area, no less! - an interesting lesson plan, great students, no problem children. Little goofing around here and there, so nothing Stepford level creepy, but a really nice reminder that no matter how many horror stories I hear, the majority of the time really is worth it.

Hmph. Won't last. Nothing does, after it takes its course.

Storm of storms. Doubt it.

Another one older than me. I feel strange... I probably spend too much time with people that are younger than me.

I'm still pretty young. Or at the very least, pretty.

old m!*%+~ f*%##~ here.

I haven't quite left but have not been posting much.

Same thing to me!

At least someone cares if I was gone.

There's that tell tale angst that proves you're the youngest :-)

Stop by the chat again!

Do you know of any mods for Mount and blade that let you take over NPCs if you're downed?

Liberty's Edge

Actually, now that I think about it, I may not even be the second-youngest one here anymore...

Liberty's Edge

OK, I know I said that I'd stop asking, but I need some serious real-world advice. I really don't know who else to ask about this:
I had to stop taking my anti-anxiety medication about three months ago because it was really screwing me up. About a month ago, I also quit drinking cold turkey because I was well on my way to becoming an alcoholic. And now, after a good six months or so of reasonably clean mental health, my panic attacks are starting to come back with a vengeance. I can't take medication for them, because all of the ones I've tried either do nothing, make them worse, or have horrible side-effects, and I can't start drinking again because, if I do, I won't be able to stop. What do I do? I'm completely at a loss.

That's wonderful. Hopefully everyone else is having a great day too.

Shiny, have you spoken with a therapist or psychologist about how to handle those panic attack in ways other than medicine?

About alcohol: if you feel that you lose control over your drinking habits then you done right and should stick to it.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Hopefully everyone (except cat lovers) has a wonderful day.

Good Morning FAWTL!

Due to a spouse traveling for business to the magical land of Atlantic City I have a day off. Time to get some things in order.

Shiny: I don't have serious panic attacks, but when I feel over-anxieties i usually try to find a quiet place and do some mild stretching and yoga-type stuff. I find sometimes the brain can 'overclock' and trying to center and empty your mind can help.

AZ: Good day my fellow ailurophobe!

I wonder if I am the youngest around now...

Scarab Sages

Also, I stand by my earlier statement: the only good cat is a dissected one.

Scarab Sages

And yes, I have.

Looks like I'll actually be getting to DM Kingmaker again this weekend. Only two players left - thank all that's shuffling I let them create gestalt characters. And one of the guys is going to take Leadership so he can get a cohort. I might let him make the cohort gestalt as well.

Kingmaker (and Dark Heresy) are both on hold for me, thanks to the guy who's house we play at being busy.

Doesn't help that two of the players are also busy for the next two weekends or so. But now I have time to plan stuff...

Now a Winter Storm approaching? Go go ocean-effect warming!

Yesterday was the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of '78. I had fun in that storm, but of course I was 10 and all blizzards are wicked fun at that age

It's all dependent on that tricksy rain/snow line. They are predicting around Plymouth now, but it's a real b@*@# to accurately say. I am hoping that being stuck out in the Atlantic works in my favor. I'm glad I don't live in Metrowest anymore, those poor bastids have 2+ feet incoming. Oy ..

I do. I also feel witty. However, I remain heterosexual. The mysteries of intimacies with my fellow males hold no allure for me.

I was born later on that same year.
