We need FAWTLy representation in the Top 32! Me, Jess, and who else?

Well that's a weird way to campaign...

Prof posted the exam results early. I did surprisingly well. Not only passed but managed to salvage my grade to a B not a C. Woo hoo! :D

And now it really feels like the semester from hell is over.

Gratz! :D You survived!

Join the dark side, become a computer programmer.

We have cookies.

No seriously, my office has two Otis Spunkmeyer cookie ovens, and the company supplies us with frozen cookie dough to cook as often as we see fit.

Join uuuuusssss!

Well, now that's tempting.:)

Honestly, as much as it felt like I was hitting my head on a wall all semester, computer programming is on my short list of options at this point. As was highlighted to me when I nearly passed out in chem lab while holding a vial of volatiles because someone turned on an air valve, I need a job where I sit at a desk. No handling of dangerous anything please and thank you. *sigh* Lack of people skills + menniere's = not a lot of options left. I still have to talk to my counselor, but yeah, computer programming, accounting, or actuary science are about the only things my particular set of skills are good for as far as I can tell.

Howdy!

How is Sabine doing?

much better, or it would be, if she would not have done a lactose-intolerance "self-test" by eating chocolate today :-/

we hope Diane is well, say Hi from us

Ouch. Well hopefully she feels better again soon. I know that chocolate is a near impossible temptation to resist no matter how much it hurts afterwards.

Good luck to you both, and to any other FAWtLies who entered. :)

Just watched a documentary about Scandinavian Star and now I'm feeling pretty angry.

Hang in there.

We are dealing with some challenges. I'll relay your "Hi". :)

Whenever I am talking to other people who are applying for jobs, I always urge them to follow up often, but taking the advice myself can be difficult.

I am glad I decided to call the place I interviewed with last week. She said she was glad to hear from me and when I flat out asked for a second-round interview, she said yes.

*fingers crossed*

I THINK I WILL JUST SIT HERE AND STEW AND SIMMER UNTIL I EXPLODE WITH THE FORCE OF TEN THOUSAND SUNS

Sol-sized suns? Bigger? Smaller?

Is there any point in signing a black hole insurance policy before it happens, or should I go with a supernova option instead? So many questions,

I approve of this.

But... shouldn't you wait 'til Friday before exploding?

s-s-S-S-S-S-SUPERNOVA!

And back from Dark Heresy. Despite poor rolls I killed an evil mutant sorcerer during a battle against mutant horde of chaos cultist while allied forces routed the horde. We might have lost our party's arbiter in the battle however, as she charged into the fray instead of protecting the party's missionary as she was obliged by her oath. GM ended the session after we found the arbiter among the bodies but before we checked for life signs.

And the gas installation was repaired and the gas will be turned on on Friday. At least I should be able to get hot bath before the end of the world. Or something.

it was the exact opposite for me a few weeks ago.

Certification tests are done, just awaiting the results.

Meanwhile watching weird foreign films and making up a packing list.

Liberty's Edge

You know, I would really like for there to be a Pierre Kirby biopic made at some point.

hi everyeone

I need to get back to my D&D / Pathfinder groove.

Been so tired lately that my edge for being DM has started to rust...

Love it when the 5-hour shift is finished in 4 hours.

Today's top-5 on my phone:
1. Style Council - Shout to the Top
2. Thea Gilmore - Love's the Greatest Instrument of Rage
3. The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York
4. She and Him - In the Sun
5. The Unthanks - The Testimony of Patience Kershaw

Quiet night in FAWTLand.

EDIT: And laggy forums too O.o

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! A rather chilly one at that. Luckily, I will soon be travelling to Louisiana, where winter's grip is rather more feeble.

Oh good, it's not just me.

Scarab Sages

Was going to get in a Town Watch patrol with my neighbors last night, but I was so damn tired I ended up going to bed. It's rare that I'm asleep before 9 pm.

Scarab Sages

Hopefully, tonight will be more accomodating.

Some people are weird. How can anyone not like visiting Japan?!?

Scarab Sages

Apparently I've been talking about my trip too much though. The wife says she's ready to smack me.

Orthos wrote:

Here I thought it was the internet connection at work.

Scarab Sages

Can't help it. If I had to pick any other country to live in besides the USA, my first choice would be Japan.

Scarab Sages

It would probably be my second choice as well.

Scarab Sages

Also: Less than 200 to go.

Scarab Sages

WOOT!!!

*Fires beams of envy from his eyes at Aberzombie*

Scarab Sages

My branch had it's Christmas lunch yesterday at this Italian restaurant nearby. I don't like the place, however, so I did not attend.

Scarab Sages

Not to mention I had plenty of work to get done. So there was that.
