Whoa! Dude here at work was walking his dog on the beach over the weekend and dropped dead of a heart attack. I knew of him, but didn't really know him. Just goes to show - you never know....

You too? I was not happy about missing both Green Latern and Young Justice.
Both Green Latern and Young Justice have been put on hold until January 2013 for some reason. That is why we did nto see those episodes.

THEY WHAT?!?!?! NO WONDER they were so quiet at the con!

Well, this job has to impress me a bit for me to take it. It's in Manhattan, and I'm going to need at least another $400-$500 (net) per month to make it worth the commute. But maybe they will indeed pay that well.

Dude, we'll be able to do lunch and hang out more and stuff!!!!

That's a euphemism for a nooner, obviously.

Look, it's a Babylon 5 love-fest!

Rain-rain-rain. Meh. Can't go buy me a piece of meat that is at bargain price at local Real as I have no wish of making a 45 minute walk there and back in that rain. Maybe it will stop later.

I am going to take a nap now.

Morning, all. Looks to be a nice, breezy, not too warm surprise day off.

Watches the phone, daring it to announce an emergency sub job

<Stumbles bleary-eyed into thread>

Wait, what? HOW many pages since I was here last?!?

Sheesh I take ONE week away to run a local production of Peter Pan, and you all go post-pocalypse on me!

Yeh, NM, I'll just re-start here,...

Where's my coffee?,...

*hangs out tea*

There you go...

Now that's just cruel.

Denying someone the caffeinated beverage of his or her choice in the morning should be considered an Evil act.

But tea is good for you!

I woke up and it is still raining... Maybe I will make that walk in the rain after all :(

Did I mentioned that it is 45 minutes there, and another 45 minutes back?

Yes, but I get off work at 4:30, I can be in manhattan by the time you're off work and we can be in TAKOYAKI city before long.

You could play a football match in that time!

Kajehase wrote:

Don't care. Morning is the one time you shouldn't be denied your preferred form of caffeine ingestion. I would be very, very upset if forced to take tea or coffee instead of my usual soda. I wouldn't dare do likewise to anyone else.

Mornings are bad enough even when you can get caffeine the way you want it. To take that away... no, unthinkable. Unforgivable.

Not if you are Manchester United - they need 10 more minutes injury time if they are not winning.

And if they don't get it, it's an outrage (according to Inspector Taggart, at least.)

I actually LIKE tea. I actually PREFER tea.

BUT, I am now addicted to coffee.

<Takes proffered tea gratefully, uses it to wash out the taste of his morning coffee.>

Ah, THAT'S better! Best of both worlds! :D

True, but extreme heat + soda can = fun explodey time. :P

Scarab Sages

Not to be confused with Lactation Nazis.

Scarab Sages

They're having a Combined Federal Campaign kick off event down in the lobby. That's kind of this thing where the gov't gives us employees a list of charities to donate to. I never participate, preferring to donate on my own in other ways, but they've got a popcorn machine down there.

Very tempting....

Scarab Sages

Never mind. A co-worker who had some of the popcorn said it was cheap crap.

Oh how I long for the days of old-school movie theater style popcorn. That was the stuff. Loads of salt and some butter! My highshcool had popcorn machine which made that stuff. When I first started there, they'd sell it in big bags for 25 cents.

Scarab Sages

Damnit! Now I'm hungry again.
