Right now, the boy is taking turns eating breakfast, waving at the dogs, and waving at me. But mommy just gave him a waffle, so all else is now irrelevant.

I like the way you think young lad. Unfortunately, that would make eating the crawfish a little difficult.
~shakes my cane at you~ Why look here you young wipper snapper! I am sure that I am older than you. ~thinks~ Now, if I could only remember my age.

Not if you're under 40.

~shakes my cane at you again~ I AM over 40.

Note to self: if you're going to spend 3 1/2 hours in direct sunlight watching baseball, it would be wise to reapply the sunblock halfway through. Oh well, at least I know my body manufactured enough vitamin D this weekend. Anybody got any aloe vera?

Moorluck, BluePigeon, I'm sorry you're both having a tough time. My condolences to both of you. (And to anyone else I missed in my quick skim through posts from the weekend.)

did your team win? And yes, sunburns can SUCK!!!

No, our team (Potomac Nationals-- single A affiliate of the Washington Nationals) lost, but the big Nats swept the Red Sox this weekend, so I'm pretty happy overall. And I got to see Chris Marrero and Ryan Mattheus up close and personal in a rehab start with Potomac before they go back to the majors. Would've been nice to see a win, but overall it was a good baseball weekend. :)

No way! Seriously? Are you sure? I could have sworn you were like a college kid, or something.

Huh! Whoda thunk it.

My mother in law has commited a cardinal sin against. There is no bacon in the house!!

Sympathies from someone who's pale-skinned even by Scandinavian standards - much as it pains me to miss an opportunity for some lame innuendo, no aloe vera, though. :(

Yea. Yesterday Karen found out that one of her friends was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After hearing that, her friend went for a walk out in the desert and has not been heard from in a few days. They are searching for her.

They found Karen's friend dead in the desert. She had a siezure and had fallen and hit her head on a rock. Karen is pretty upset right now. Lucky for me, her best friend is going to pick her up and spend the day with her.

Scarab Sages

Yes, I know I mentioned that last night, but I feel it cannot be said enough.

At least say that it's because it's all been eaten!

That is, in fact, the case. But it's not an excuse. THERE MUST ALWAYS BE BACON IN THE HOUSE!!!!

Thanks zombie.

Condolences to you both.

Oh. But my mental age is either 11 or 12. Moorluck, Solnes, The Eldritch Mr. Shiny, and TOZ have met me and can verify that fact.

Also, taig and Urizen have also met me. They too can verify the mental age.

~whacks the zombie across the head with my cane~ Have some respect for your elders, you young whipper snapper!

Scarab Sages

We taught the boy to "shake it off". He starts shaking his head back and forth and going "blah blah blah".

Huzzah! I'm a whippersnapper.

Scarab Sages

And, time to go. The boy has been released from his booster chair and is terrorizing the house.

Seriously, I never thought an inanimate structure coule be terrorized, but here we are.

My condolences to Karen. It's hard to lose somebody but... damn! I hope I'm lucky enough to go out on my own terms like that.

Me too. If an illness can be cured, then I am all for fighting and doing my best to get through an illness. If it can't, then I want to go out when I am ready to go and where.

Nah. More like sour vinegar.

Whenever something happens on the train tracks, I feel guilty about whining about the delays. Whoever's car got hit is having a worse morning than mine.

Silver Crusade

Plus I've got a book and an understanding boss.

I hope that the person in that car is ok, CH. How is the hubby doing?

Stuck in the train? You should really learn to use those wings.

I agree with Treppa.

I hear something crawling around in here, but will have to move furniture to find it. *sigh*

That person is not okay from what I understand. Killed instantly from what I have heard. The train is partially on top of their car. I hope FAWTLies are careful and stop when the rr crossing arms are down. You cannot beat a train.

As for hubby, we are going through some tough stuff right now. I am foreseeing a single life for the first time in ten years.
