CH, really??? Wow, that's always one of the first things i take care of after I move is changing my driver's license. It's usually just a sticker on the back anyhow. But I also have a lot of places (school, rec center, library) that require proof of residency annually, so I have a good reason to keep it current.
What is the administration tour?well, all the differnt government administrations you have to visit when moving:
- local residents' registration office
- passport office
- vehicle registration office
- changing trustee savings bank from one local branch to anotherThat's very efficient.
Americans like to put that stuff off as long as possible - as in, years. My identification is about three addresses old...
that would be very very very ilegal here, you have 8 days to do this stuff after moving,

I really do hate changing the shower curtain liner. There isn't space for a step stool outside the tub and inside the tub wouldn't be safe, so I either end up balancing precariously on the edge of the bathtub or standing on tippy toes so I can just barely reach. The trouble with being short.
I hate being short. I was short growing up...but then in college I was on the tall side of average, and in Japan, of course, I was a giant.
5'8" isn't tall enough. I was supposed to be 6 feet tall. :P

At 5'2" (and no longer able to wear heels because of problems with my feet) I'm having a hard time with the idea of 5'8" not being tall enough. :P
I'm the only person in my chem class who has to use a step stool to do titration experiments.....I can't reach the top of the buret at all without one. :(
Although I love my toyota precisely because it's the first car I've ever had that was obviously made for short people....I don't even need to sit on a book to see over the steering wheel!

Well, growing up in West Michigan, I was short for a woman at 5'8", and my brothers are only 6', which is short for men there. I'd guess most of my female classmates were 5'10" or so, and most of the guys were somewhere around 6'3". So I was on the short side of average growing up.
In Toledo the Dutch population wasn't nearly so overwhelming, so 5'8" was on the tall side of average instead of the short. Which was nicer.
And in Japan...
...I became DAIKAIJUU!!!

And you are of height with another friend of mine. We have one mutual friend that is even shorter at about 4'11. I love hugging them both, they make me feel gigantic.

Huh. I was definitely among the shortest in my high school in west Michigan, but I didn't notice that there were that many tall people....but the town I was in was more Polish rather than Dutch. And being of Irish descent, tall was never in the cards for me. :(
The worst was elementary school in the UP. Finns and Swedes are not exactly short. I looked like I was three years younger than I was at that school.

lol. Yeah, I've known a couple of women who were under 5 feet tall (including my grandmother)....it's nice to know that there are at least a couple people out there who have an even harder time reaching things like upper cabinets and light bulbs that need changing than I do. :P

Me too. I was born and grew up in Detroit (technically Dearborn, but we were across the street from the city limits, right next to the projects), and my parents wanted to move back to the west side of the state, where they grew up, when I was in junior high.
My parents are still "the new family" in town, 20 years later...
Grand Valley State University was right in town, but there was no way in hell I was going to attend college there. Toledo was 4 hours away, a reasonable distance.

I felt the same about both WMU and Notre Dame both of which were within an hour of where my parents lived. I needed away from that environment so bad. Ann Arbor was just about far enough. :)
