I loved soccer when I was a kid. I sucked at it, but it was fun! If only my dad hadn't been picked on by jocks his whole life and pretty much forced us to drop all sports after elementary school...

That's the only game that doesn't violate Fawtl thread's injunction against sports.

come on! come on!

Weel, an injunction against soccer would have been close to an injunction against Europeans and South Americans.

Hiya aeglos.

Gomez makes Luis Suarez seem a wonder of efficiency, doesn't he?

Are you sure he's German?

Yep - unless the situation actually calls for loud ingratitude.

Name's a bit of a give-away I guess. But if Sweden can have Guidetti, Ibrahimovic, Bajrami, and (possibly, in a few years) Athaskade I'd need a shaved head and Dr Martens to complain. ;)

Come on now Bayern! I do not want to root for Chelski in the final.

For the record - I'm more of a flowing locks and sandals kind of guy.

Hope you have a strong heart aeglos - I've got a penalty shoot out kind of feeling.

my blood pressure is through the roof

Here's what happens when you put a Canadian in a football-goal, btw

Müller!!!!

out of coaching zone! out of zone!

The coaching zones is one of those inventions they should probably ban on health reasons - I've seen a coach or two who probably need to do a bit of pacing to avoid their blood pressures getting dangerously high during games.

Of course, if it's José Mourinho he's probably just being a dick and trying to intimidate the ref - lock him in the locker room by kick-off I say.

From the Guardian's Minute-by-Minute report: "ET10: So, a penalty shoot-out - who would you fancy? The Galactico superstars playing at home in front of their own fans or the Germans? It's a no-brainer, surely? The Germans every time."

Man I wish they didn't put these games on one of the too-expensive-for-me channels. My F5 key is beginning to look a lot shinier than the other keys.

Hey, I have the occasional bout of depression. Seriously, positive waqves against depression. Take care of yourself and don't worry about the future. It'll come soon enough.

I handed my job resignation this morning. Feels like a load of stress is off my shoulders.

Schweinsteiger cramping... let's hope he ends up doing a Steven Gerrard in the FA Cup final against West Ham.
